✽Dylan smiled and quickly stole a glance to the thinning crowd. He would have to leave soon in order to keep up with his fellow Ilvermony students. Hogwarts was big, and even though he had grown up in Wales, he didn't know anything about where to go. He just had to make sure that he could catch up with his fellow students once they began their journey to where they would be staying at Hogwarts.
Dylan shrugged before saying, "Yeah. I guess I've never thought about it that way. Usually I just thought of living in America as a way to keep me as separated from my old life as possible, but I may have to rethink that the next time I'm back."
Dylan stole another glance at the crowd and saw his fellow Ilvermony students preparing to leave. As much as he wanted to continue their conversation, other matters called to him. He didn't want to be the last person from another school just standing there. Unsure of where he was actually supposed to be.
"Looks like I have to get going. See you around!" Dylan waved to Lillian as he walked towards the growing crowd of Ilvermony students. He was ready and excited to be here now. And all he had to do now was track Avery down and find her before it was too late. Before he had to say goodbye to her again and disappear until summer. ✽

An Unexpected Friend

"Well, see you," Lillian said giving him a small wave and a farwell smile. "Hope we meet again someday," she added. She truly did hope that they would, mabie at the next wizarding school event. But, she didn't think it was too likely though. They went to very different schools and there was so many people, too many people, at events like these. But, mabie, just mabie, if they both put their minds too it, and tried to find each other, they would meet again. She would defiantly look for him, not that she would tell him of course.
One thing Lillian knew, that she would remember their conversation for a while to come. It was good for you, she decided to sometimes get a different perspective on things. Now she had something to compare her daily life to.
She smiled a bit sadly to herself. He was good for her to get less shy. The only times she wasn't shy was when she was really angry, or deliberately trying to be brave. Lillian defiantly wasn't mad. And she wasn't deliberately trying to be brave either. The conversation was natural. She didn't even overthink her words, except a little at the beginning.
As she got in the now faint line of Gryffindors, she felt a bit braver. Just a little more Gryffindor-y ( if that was a word ) than a few minutes before.
Lillian has left the thread.
