End of a day Solo Completed

November 10th, 2019

My dearest mum,

It's Virgil.

First things first, I'd like to apologize for taking so long to write to you. Even though I promised I'd write every week, I found myself unable to do so, due to various reasons, but now I'm here, with a lot of things to talk about.

I'd like to say I'm doing fine: no skipping meals, no staying up late and working hard on my homework. I'm not playing around, mum, and, yes, I know you're worried, but I ask you to trust me because nothing bad is going to happen. You raised me well and I know how to take care of myself, alright? You can relax!

As of the time I'm writing this letter, I've made two friends. A boy and a girl named Isaac Dou and Adlai Rod, respectively. (Dou is from the same house as me, while Rod is from Hufflepuff, just like father). We get along fairly well, and I'm sure you'd adore them. Again, I promise you I'm not doing anything dangerous with them.

So far, my report card is going strong. I only have one P, and it's Transfiguration. My favorite subject is History of Magic. It requires a lot more reading and memorizing than practice, which may be the biggest reason as to why I like it so much. Also, Professor Sky's great at explaining and her lessons always resonate well with me. Unfortunately, not many students agree with me.

Now, how are things? Is aunt Jessica's arm better? Is father still around or did he have an emergency with the dragons and had to go back to Sweden? If he's still there, could you please tell him I'm sorry I didn't write to him either, and that I'll do it as soon as possible?

I'm excited for the winter break. We'll spend it in England, correct? I miss the rest of the family!

All the love,
Virgil Lee.
