To Escape Reality
Eri sat by the lake in front of a tree in silence. Tears were streaming down her face. She couldn't take this much longer. She got an owl from her parents saying she needed to focus more on quidditch than reading. They think they know her.
She pulled out a book and put it beside her. She sketched the lake and put the picture beside her then decided to read her book. She ignored her tears and decided to escape reality by reading her book. She missed her aunt. She really needed some comfort right now.
After about an hour of reading Eri sat up against the tree and put her book down to take in the beauty of the lake. The grass was so beautiful. She picked up her bag and put her stuff in it and walked to the edge of the lake and read some more of her book in hopes of getting rid of her anger and feelings towards her parents.
She smiles thinking about how she wished her only friend Kendra was here. Oh how much she wished she was good at talking to people. She sat in silence and emptied her mind and thoughts.

Cameron walked down to the lake that afternoon. Feeling glad that he was finished with his homework. He noticed a girl by the lake and he went over to introduce himself,
"Hello, I'm Cameron," said he as a smile appeared on his face. His blue eyes glistening and the wind slightly blowing. Cameron placed his school bag on the grass and looked out at the lake with her. "Pretty isn't it? I heard that there is a monster in the lake. Quite friendly and the merpeople don't mind em'." He placed his hands in his pockets and took a deep breath then he noticed her book in her bag. "Like to read? I value reading, I read all the time. If I had to choose a favorite novel it would be from the mystery section. I like a good mystery and I am an avid reader. I always tend to read ahead in my studies." Cameron thought about how his parents always encouraged him to read. He did wonder if he could focus on a hobby not relating to school work and one of them went through his mind. Quidditch. "I heard your on the Quidditch team. Sounds like fun."

Eri was a little startled as the boy came up out of nowhere. Then again she was deep in her reading so it was her fault she didn't see him walk up not his. "H-Hi I'm Eri." She said. She looked out at the lake as she heard his comment and nodded in agreement as she let the other speak. Speaking wasn't her thing she liked to do.
"Yes I love reading." She said looking down at all her books in her bag. She must have brought at least ten books with her and only read eight of them. She would finish them later she always had time to read. Mystery books that sounded interesting. Eri had only read books in the school library on her school subjects. Seeing other people that liked reading other books is great but still she hasn't read much other books.
Hearing him go to another topic about quidditch she was on the team. She thought it was interesting how he knew. I guess things get around in Hogwarts. She smiles her green eyes glisten from the tears she was crying but she hid it well and it just looks like her eyes were watering. "Yes it is."
