A Sorting Mistake
Elia was very nervous. It wasn't because the Headmaster wasn't in, or that she was covered in ink talking to a boy. It was because she was having a 2 person conversation, and it was lasting longer than they normally did. Which usually was 5 seconds, with 2 or 3 sentences, a slight squeal of embarrassment from Elia and a confused look from whoever talked to her before Elia ran off in fear.
The boy held her wand out to her. She reached out to take it with a shaking hand. The boy had jokingly told her he didn't bite, but with the smile he was giving her, he might just. Elia giggled at the thought a bit. The boy was funny in her opinion. And he was far to nice to be in Slytherin. Perhaps he had been giving the wrong cloak from the laundry. Though he did compliment her doodling. Which was completely out of sheer boredom. All her assignments looked like this. Covered in swirls, and the occasional drawing of creatures. She was surprised she hadn't gotten reprimanded for them.
"Oh...no...It...It's not...not you...I just...just have.....have a stutter...." Elia said going red and fidgeting with her hands, again. This boy didn't seem to mind, though he was still smiling at her. And being nice to her. She managed a weak smile back, but it was a closed off one. She didn't need people to see her braces. Elia was weird enough as is, what with her stutter, shyness, and inability to talk to people without fainting or going red or running off.
"Elia....Um...My...My name is....Elia...I'm in Sly...Slytherin too..." She said softly, sticking out her small, inky, (and god forbid sweaty) hand. It was better to have friends than enemies in Slytherin, and she might have made one accidentally a couple days ago...in the dorms. She shuddered at the thought.

Kyden shook the girls hand and continued to smile. "Come on I will walk you down to the Common Room so you can go get cleaned up." He smiled at her again and stood up. When he was standing it was easy for her to see he was quite small.
Though he was small he had the biggest heart of them all. He strives to help people. Helping those in need and being a friend for those who need one was what he loved to do. He was quite possible the nicest person in the castle. He was for sure the nicest Slytherin.
He looked at the girl seeing if she would like him to carry anything. He kinda liked her stuttered. She seemed really nervous like she wasn't sure what to expect of Kyden and in a way that made him sad. He really was a nice kid. He truly was not like any Slytherin he had ever known.
"So if your ready lets go. I can carry whatever you want. So aside from wanting your house switched how are you liking it here at Hogwarts. Me personally its a lot to take it. However I think this is going to be a wonderful year for me."

Elia was still a little shocked at what this kid was doing for her. But she was grateful nonetheless. He offered to carry her things, but she held onto them, instead, giving his cloak back. He was at least half a head shorter than her, and still smiling.
"...You...You aren't bother...bothered by....by my...stutter?" She asked nervously. The other Slytherin kids would point it out, saying it wasn't what a real Slytherin sounded like. But this boy was so kind. There was no way he was a Slytherin even though all the signs pointed to it.
Elia felt like she had inturrupted the two and was going to walk back herself. But the kindness was just so unnatural, she couldn't resist looking for more.
"I'm....read....ready to go...." She said. If this was who she met in Slytherin, maybe it wouldn't be so bad at all.

Kyden took his cloak and stood next to her ready to walk with her. He had already told Kendra he would see her later. He eyed Elia for a bit before speaking. "No your stutter doesn't bother me. Should it?"
Being raised at the orphanage he listened to all the lessons they were taught. It was always impressed upon them to be kind to their fellow wizards. Kyden chose to live by that rule. It was a big deal to him. He wanted to treat people the way he wanted to be treated.
"So then how do you like school? I think my favorite class is Charms. I really like Professor Blackburn and his spider Denise. I think that was the best class ever. I also quite like Flying though I already know most of what is being taught."
He stopped talking and looked at her. He wasn't sure what else to say he didn't want to ramble but she was a quite girl and didn't say much. He knew she didn't want to stutter but her stutter didn't bother him at all. He smiled at her as they walked down towards the Slytherin Common room. He glanced over at her once more.

She listened to the boy talk. Oddly enough, she hadn't gotten his name yet. Or maybe she had, but had been to frazzled to remember it.
Elia listened quietly to the boy talk about charms being his favorite class, and agreed about Professer Blackburn and his spider Denise.
"I...I...have...have...to...disagree...I...I think...Potions... is better." Elia stated. It was true. Despite the challenges she faced in Potions, she quite enjoyed the oppertunity to create delicate recipes. She noticed the boy glance at her a couple times. But shrugged it off. And shivered. Who knew ink could be so cold? Her uniform was inky, and her hands. She looked behind to see she was leaving very small inky footprints. She smirked at the sight of the footprints. To someone, it might look as if she was talking to an embodied ghost, seeing as she was leaving footprints and he was not.
Eventually the two turned a corner and came apon a trash can, and Elia threw her note to the head master away. There was no need to try and get resorted now. If some Slytherin where this nice, what was the point of switching? She would be content to stay there, regardless of where her family was.

Kyden smiled. He couldn't remember if he had told her his name or not. " I am Kyden by the way. I can't remember if I said that or not." He looked behind them when she did and noticed the footprints. "Umm maybe you ought to take your shoes off. I think you would get in less trouble for no shoes than you would for all these footprints." Kyden would offer his shoes but well he was sure they would be about two sizes to small. He smiled at the girl and continued to walk along side her. He wasn't sure what to say really. He didn't want to make her nervous or anything. "I mean I like potions but I think my talent lies in Charms and Astronomy. I just recently found out my dad is a skilled potions master. Though I grew up in an orphanage. I guess that is a really long story." He stopped talking. Once again his curse of rambling had struck. He frowned to himself and looked around. They were on the third floor now. He should have offered to show her the secret passage ways he knew about. He could have gotten them to the common room much much faster.

A Sorting Mistake
Isabella was deep in thought as she entered a third floor corridor. She didn't feel like she was right in Slytherin. No one in her family had ever been in Slytherin. Her mother and aunt said they supported it but she felt like she disappointed them. She was disappointed in herself. She had made up her mind earlier that morning to go see the headmaster about it. She'd ask, even beg, him to let her try on the sorting hat once more. Just to double check. She felt like she really belonged in Hufflepuff. People had been telling her that her entire life. Some even said it here! Not many people seemed to believe she was in Slytherin. She didn't care about blood purity, her best friend is a muggle! She hated potions, she had never liked them. The idea of some of the ingredients made her want to hurl. She was so deep in thought that she didn't notice two students walking down the corridor towards her. She didn't notice them at all until she had nearly walked right into them. Both walked past and smiled at her. She smiled back before turning bright red and looking down at the ground again. She wasn't really a people person. She heard they're voices retreating down the hall. 'I wish I was friends with them.' She thought. She didn't really have any friends at all because she was so shy. 'What a shame. They're both in Slytherin. Just like me. They seem nicer then anyone else that I've met.' She thought with a sigh. Maybe she could go back and talk to them. She just needed a reason... she could ask them the password to the headmasters office? She didn't even know where it was anyway. Maybe they could help her? She turned around and ran back up the corridor. "Excuse me!" She callled running after them.
You see? Even death has a heart.

Elia was more comfortable with talking than ever. She was having a full on conversation/argument about classes, and almost didn't notice a girl walk past them, who was also a Slytherin. The two smiled at her and continued to walk.
Elia and Kyden heard a voice call out to them. Elia turned aroind and saw the girl who they had passed. Rather than speaking she just looked at the girl.
"C...can w...we he...help you?" Elia asked nervously. Elia didn't want to talk because she didn't know the girl but she did want to boost her own confidence. But the girl looked almost like Elia had when zhe was trying to find the headmasters office. Elia hoped it wasn't that. If it was anything about something other than school or muggle things, than the girl was out of luck for an answer.
