Dori was practically vibrating with excitement as they waited for the crowd to slowly grow in the area between Hogwarts and the Courtyard. They were hosting a pride parade and they couldn't be more excited. Sure, they had collaborated with Deputy Headmaster Jensen and Mylo, but this was their part. This is why they had quit so many things, made time. So they could do fun stuff like this and actually have fun.

The weather was absolutely brilliant, and the sun-rays of the early summer sun was warming their skin. Elsi had been kind enough to make them an amazing trans-flag dress. It was frilly, breathable, and it had pockets (which was really the best part). It was like a sunset swirl of blue, pink, and white. On the bottom it was like a mini princess ballgown skirt, while the top was more the style of a button-up shirt. It was a beautiful mix of masculine and feminine, which Elsi really perfected when it came to their outfits. They had lapel pins of eggs (a little inside trans joke), and their cheekbones were covered in a pink shimmery glitter.

They were directing people to where they could cheer on their friends, or where they should wait if they wanted to partake in the parade itself. The other areas were already set-up and waiting for the party to arrive. Once the clock had struck 12:00pm, they turned to the crowd of the parade and shouted out to them. "Look alive friends! We're heading out!"

Dori turned and started pushing a small cart that was holding a gramophone with a vinyl record that their parents sent them which they had gotten custom-made with some iconic queer songs. As one hand cranked, and one hand pushed, the beautiful tunes of "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga started to play.

"Happy pride everybody!" They would call intermittently, as well as well timed hoops and howls as they walked down to the grounds where the bulk of the party was.

summary, this thread is happening on JUNE 7TH, 2025, at NOON with THE ALPHABET MAFIA (@dorion anderson) / wc: 419.

While Harlan had absolutely no shame in both his attraction to boys and girls, he hadn't ever heard of a celebration for anything different than what was the normal and he was still coming to grips with the visibility of what it all meant while at school.

He had a girlfriend, kinda, during his first year and he hadn't really thought about anything until Germany and his grandmother began with a harmless comment - " One day, if you're lucky, you'll have a lovely wife, or husband, or you'll have the privlege of being able to be alone. That's for you to decide, Harlan. " It had been a rough road of discovery and rehabilitation from when he first left Hogwarts, but here he was attending his very first parade and grabbing some of the bisexual merchandise and logo items — a bewitched temporary tattoo of colors that he was being told represented being bisexual now smudged onto his face for the sake of their little party.

Thick curls tucked nicely and scrunched with some product circled Harlan's head with just enough bounce as he walked with a fairly boring outfit on, a loose maroon sweatshirt and dark beige khakis cuffed at the end. Without knowing what exactly he was expecting, the second year moved his way closer to the person who seemed like they were the organizer while listening to what seemed to be like a witch who could party animagus her hands into paws? He couldn't be certain, but the beat wasn't bad and Harlan nodded his head to the beat while he moved his way to the buzzed student.

" Hey, are you organizing all of this? " Harlan shouted out quickly attempting to get the person's attention. " I've never heard of something like this before. Appreciate it being able to do all this. " Usually when Harlan was buttering someone up, it was deliberate and purposeful to try and force a hand to go his way or to weasel his way into a friendship that he thought would be beneficial to him.

However, this was an honesty he hadn't usually offered up and an authenticity that he kept incredibly close to his chest. It felt a bit freeing to open up just a little, just enough and who knows, perhaps seeing other students also opening up would be a good way forward.

It was still the end of his second year, but it made the young wizard optimistic for next year and what might've been in store for little 'ole Harlan Montgomery.

Aurette had heard of pride month parade when she was in the common room, how wonderful of them! , she thought. She also thought of joining the parade, though not many people know this, but she identified herself as a bisexual when she'd taken a liking to some of her friends.

The only people who knew this were some of her friends and her family. She was not easily persuaded of this. It started when she was talking to her little brother and the topic of a pretty friend suddenly erupted. She was cut short when Aster suddenly asked her, "Sis, are you a lesbian or something?" , bewildered Aurette then asked, "Why would you say that?", almost as if she was interrogating him, and Aurette had to admit, she was actually afraid that people might judge her because of her sexuality. Her brother was the first one to know, he promised that he would never ever tell anyone else, and he did. Her parents were the next, a slip-up when they were eating dinner, they accepted her fully. Then a few of her friends and her whole family. They all said the same thing, "Of course we accept you, why wouldn't we?", and the first time she arrived at Hogwarts? She'd never felt more alive.

She never really thought of it at first, but the fact that she, herself, was part of the LGBTQIA+ community, she couldn't help herself, because but of course, the B in it isn't silent, right?

She chuckled slightly at her own joke as she made her way to the parade at the courtyard around 10 in the morning. She was a wearing a Bi pin she'd found when shopping for her mum's cookbooks, she thought it was pretty. She was wearing a beige jumper, the pin attached to her left, jeans and her yellow converse. Beside her was Lorraine, she was wearing a white long sleeve with brown overalls and boots. She had a half pansexual and half bisexual pin, hand-made by Aurette using some color pencils Lorraine brought from her house.

She looked really pretty, Aurette thought. When they arrived at the parade there were already a few people crowding around. She and Lorraine took out their flags they had sewn theirselves. Aurette looked around and saw Dorion, the event coordinator, she was wearing a pretty trans dress.

Aurette and Lorraine quickly separated as they talked to their house mates. As she was wandering [indent]she saw a few familiar faces and voices, oh how this was so exciting , she thought. Time must've passed quickly because the next thing Aurette knows, Dorion was shouting. "Look alive friends! We're heading out!", and the song "Born this way" by Lady Gaga was playing.

Aurette positioned herself close to the front and apparently Lorraine did too. A few feet from her left, she was greeted by the huge smile of Lorraine, her pearly white teeth shining amongst the other students. Aurette waved at her and the parade started.

To be honest, Lorraine's journey in finding out what she really is, is just a lot and very complicated. Though she never told any of her parents this, only her friends, she still fears that, secretly, they're judging her.

The first friend she feels that doesn't judge her is Aurette, a Hufflepuff with a keen eye and a pretty face. Even she feels sick on her stomach when she was telling her all about it.

"It all began when this gorgeous girl with ginger hair and blue eyes came to town", she started, " I didn't know what the hell was wrong with me at first, only that I couldn't seem to take my eyes of her, literally everywhere, I was so desperate to get her attention..."

The next thing she knows, Aurette asked her if she wanted to be part in the pride parade, since she's pansexual and all that, and to her own surprise, Lorraine agreed. Aurette was ecstatic because apparently, she too was going be in it because she was bi. She then showed her a cool pin of the bisexual flag and offered to make her one too, of the pansexual flag.

Fast forward to June 7th, 10 a.m, she was wearing her brown overalls, white long sleeve beneath, boots and her pin. She didn't really put any makeup at all, just eyeliner and glitter, but with these people, she felt like she was really pretty.

Apparently, lots of people had heard of this parade too, though she doesn't really know because she doesn't like to leave her dorm to look at the bulletin board, but oh my, these people we're also very gorgeous. Aurette nudged her elbow and took out her hand-sewn flag, so did Lorraine, waving it enthusiastically.

She felt like she really belonged here, with the people who weren't afraid to show their true colors, she also made a note to write to her parents about her coming out, she hoped they'd take it well. After a few hours of socializations with her house, Dorion Anderson, the event coordinator, shouted, "Look alive friends! We're heading out!"

She followed a few of her house friends near the front of the parade, waving her flag happily, she looked around for Aurette, any signs of that dark hair and beige jumper, she was in the same line Lorraine. She whistled to Aurette, but apparently she didn't hear it, so she just hoped that Aurette would turn around, and the moment she did, Lorraine gave her a very cheerful smiles and Aurette waved at her. Then, the parade started.

Ah, this was going to be so exciting! Alliasta was going to attend a pride march for the first time. She had never been to one before she had only heard about them. Even though she identified as straight, she wasn’t someone who cared much about gender, so she leaned toward being pansexual, but this was still a side of herself she had only just begun to explore, and she couldn’t say anything for sure yet. Still, who cared? Certainly not Alliasta. Supporting other people’s gender identities and not allowing them to be marginalized just felt right.

Before the march started, she wanted to take a flag of every kind. But since it would be unfair to others, she only took a rainbow flag and joined the march. It was so refreshing and comforting to see so many people attending. Maybe people who were shy would be so happy to see there were this many people supporting them! And that’s why Alliasta wanted to be here. To help everyone.

She had heard that there would be two more events besides the march, and that was wonderful. Instead of spending this day feeling bored, it was perfect to be together with people. Ah, and most importantly, it was the ferret on top of her head who was watching the crowd with excitement. Alliasta hadn’t planned to bring her ferret, but when Kaito wouldn’t get down from her head, there wasn’t much she could do. She wasn’t worried about him running away no matter how inclined he was to run off, right now he seemed more interested in staying on Alliasta’s head and watching everything, and Alliasta had brought a few snacks to keep him busy. When the march began, she immediately took her place and started walking with a soft sway to the music playing, a smile on her face that wouldn’t fade.

Yürüyüş başlamadan önce her bayraktan almak istiyordu.

─────Phoenix did not intend to go down.

She'd heard some people talking about it in whispers in the halls. There was a Pride event happening on campus hosted by one of the older students. She hadn't asked. Not out of disinterest, more that she didn't know how she'd ask. What did she say, 'Hi, I don't know about any of this, I just want to go?' That didn't sound right. So she'd done nothing and hadn't even planned on going.

But here she was.

It took longer than usual to walk from the castle out to the edge of the courtyard. Phoenix did not hurry, did not pace, did not cast a glance to see who watched. Her expression did not change, calm as always, although her fingers moved almost unconsciously at her side. There were a few people already gathered by the time she got there. She could handle that.

She stayed a bit away from the group, off to the side in a position where she could watch yet not be seen too readily. That suited her fine.

She did not seem to be here for a great occasion. She did not wear bright colors or a flag. She did, though, take into consideration what she would wear, although she would not own up to it.

Phoenix wore a plain, form-fitting gray tank top - nothing flashy. Over this a loose, blue-striped, faded-brown-and-tan flannel shirt hung loosely, open and slightly crumpled. Her sleeves hung loosely, untucked, as if she hadn’t even rolled them up. Her cream-colored, wide-legged bottoms were made of lightweight material that moved around her when she walked. They were drawstrung at the waist and the hem trailed on the ground, barely reaching her sneakers. The shoes, silver and white, a bit awkward, grounded her.

She had her hair down for a change. She usually brushed it back or tucked it behind books, but she'd worn it down today, letting it fall loosely about her shoulders. The ends were tugged lightly by the breeze as she stood in the sun.

She didn't try to talk to anyone. Didn't smile. Simply stood silently, watching.

It was a sort of stillness in the air, the kind when everything seemed to be holding its breath. The small gathering was not rowdy or big. It was the pre-signal for something enormous, and Phoenix didn't know she was ready for it. But she stayed.

She didn't quite get it. She wasn't even really sure, either, what the term "Pride" meant to those celebrating. She took a guess that it was about identity, about having pride in who you are. That was an unfamiliar concept to her. She hadn't even questioned whether or not she should be proud of herself. She just.was.

It was twelve o'clock, then.

A figure in the group began pushing a cart—a small, rusty cart. There was an old gramophone on it, and when the handle was turned, the stillness ended.

Music filled the air. Bold and confident. Born This Way.

She slowly blinked. She did not dance. She did not applaud. But she unclenched her tight fists, and she slumped a bit.

She still didn't comprehend. But for the moment, merely being present—present, and still, and looking on—was enough.

Cirrus emptied out all the contents of the small navy satchel, from inside small buttons and pins scattered across his Dragon Ball Z duvet. The boy took his time in grabbing each and every one and pinning it to his red corduroy jacket.

Upon catching wind on the news about the Pride Festival Hogwarts was to be hosting, Cirrus wasted no time in owling his family on what he should do upon attendance as well as making the boy stop and dig a bit deeper into himself.

The possibility of being part of anything within the community had never crossed the Hufflepuff's mind, especially since he had only taken interest in one person in the entirety of his life thus far. Gekko Phillips.

Ultimately he had just decided to not put a label on himself for the time being, anyways in terms of orientation it could take months if not years to find what he was truly comfortable with, and being only twelve years old the boy was in no rush and somewhat content with his current crush on the Slytherin girl...

Well besides the point of being not able to implement his feelings towards the girl, in risk of ruining their established relationship. But besides that point, even though he didn't know what to identify as he wasted no time in the very least becoming an ally of community, determined to spread his support for his friends and loved ones.

Cirrus stood in front of his mirror proudly, looking at all the hand-made pins by his mother glittering and sparkling in the daylight of the sneaking summer. He grinned largely before he made his way to the courtyard, where the festival was being hosted, only to trip on his own untied shoelaces.

Thus causing himself to freefall forward and faceplant against the wood of his dorm's door with a painful smash, Cirrus groaned as he stumbled back holding his face as burning sensation spilled out his nose. He pulled back his hands to see them covered in red, at this point it wasn't an unfamiliar feeling as just last month the boy had to heal from a sprained ankle.

None the less, the Hufflepuff quickly cleaned up his bleeding nose using some tissue to block the flow before quickly giving his hands a wash AND tying his shows before heading out. A couple splotches still clung to his white tank as he finally made it this destination.

Cirrus couldn't help but break out into a joyous smile immediately upon seeing the crowd of students cheering and celebrating with each other with the most absolute genuine care for one another as music blared over. The boy made his rounds through the festival, greeting his friends and classmates alike sharing as much joyful spirit as he could as he did so.

That's when the thought struck him about his own little sister who had been born only last month, he pulled out the tiny photo out of the breast-pocket of his jacket, he looked at the it fondly. Cirrus wondered what she would be like when she grew up and what pathways or choices shed choose in terms of her own identity? Well whatever it was it didn't matter cause her big brother would love and support her no matter what!

Cirrus's attention was redirected as an older year girl, who the boy presumed was the organizer of this event yelled out to the crow.

"Look alive friends! We're headi-" Whatever else she had said had been drowned out by the growing rumble of cheering and applause from the crowd. This only caused the boy to break into smile, his honey colored eyes scrunching into half-moons, revealing his long dimples and his overbite that causes his teeth to slightly protrude out of his mouth as he joined in with the cascading cheerful rallying if the parade.

Pride had so many meanings for Kaitlyn. She was never ashamed of who she was … an out lesbian. Her coming out of the closet, so to speak, occurred before she left for Hogwarts … specifically to her close-knit group of girls from St. Ann’s all-girls Catholic Boarding School. Why did she decide to do that? Simply because she felt terrible for lying to her muggle friends about going to Hogwarts. Coming out as a lesbian gave her something true to admit. Only one friend didn’t seem to know already, anyway. The others knew for a while … at least that was what she was told.

Before that time, however, Kaitlyn went to pride events as an ally … and unwilling to admit who she was. She was so thankful to have had such a difficult conversation already, before attending this magical school. She could be herself, which was always beneficial. As it was, she walked to the beat of her own drum a lot. Not that she minded. She loved being uniquely herself. She wasn’t about to change who she was just for someone else’s benefit. That was not how life would work, and it certainly wasn’t how her life would work. She may only be a thirteen-year-old girl, but she knew just how important it was to stand up for women.

As such, it should come as no surprise that Kaitlyn ventured out to the Courtyard to celebrate pride month. While she was a lesbian, she also wanted to be a visible ally to other LGBTQ+ students, too. Now, with her being a prefect for Slytherin, she figured it would be even more helpful, hopefully. She skipped into the courtyard, her blue eyes looking at no one in particular. She was proud of being a lesbian, but was also not looking to gain recognition for celebrating her identity. Love was love, no matter who you shared it with.

Decked out with lesbian pride, Kaitlyn giggled at the sound of the organizer, an older student, playing music off a gramophone. The sounds that emerged were those of ‘Born This Way’ by Lady Gaga … a lovely pride anthem. “Happy Pride,” she shouted along with the older girl, as she started to walk with the other students. She occasionally twirled on the heels of her sandals, a bright smile on her face. Thankfully, the weather was excellent for this march. Hopefully, it would stay that way.

Minnie smiled shyly as she walked to the courtyard, still a little unsure of herself around so many confident people. She went with the crowd, and followed them in the parade. She shouted with the rest of them, and slowly started to get more confident. It wasn't as if she was really hiding from the truth, she just wasn't sure everyone she knew would be completely fine with it. No one she had met seemed openly against bisexual people, but she didn't want to loose any friends who didn't want to hang out with someone who was.

As she was wrestling with herself, she noticed the person who had gotten her thinking about being bi in the first place, Kaitlyn. She looked very happy, spinning and smiling. "Hello Kaitlyn! It's nice to see you here." She smiled awkwardly, wondering if their relationship could ever get back to being the way it once was when they were dating.

As they marched, she took a deep breath, and tried to think of some more topics to talk about. Small talk had never really been a skill of hers. "So...how are you? Are you excited for summer? I know that I'm not going to terribly miss taking classes and tests. I will miss all my friends though, even if I see some of them at summer camp." Minnie paused, wondering what to say next. "Are you going to summer camp?" She asked.

As she talked to Kaitlyn, she took another deep breath, feeling the atmosphere of people who would not be against her, happy and nice people who were all marching for the pride of who you are. She wished this feeling could last forever.

Tori took one last look at herself in the mirror. It had taken her a long time to do her hair. She had gotten the hair color right since she was a metamorphosis, but braiding it and putting little flowers on it was really hard. Thinking she needed a few more hair clips, she opened her bag. In her bag, she had put colored stickers and badges of the orientations as a change. She kept a few badges in her bag in case her friends wanted them.

Pride month had come and from what she had heard, one of the upperclassmen was preparing an event. Tori thought it was fun and very interesting so she decided to join in. She was bisexual or lesbian.

She put on her bisexual badge and walked out of the girls' bathroom. She felt an indescribable sense of excitement and pride. With each step she took, this excitement grew stronger.

When she arrived at the courtyard, he saw that it was crowded. She took the bisexual flag from the orientation flags and entered the crowd. There were students of all ages and years around. She had heard that there were two more events. She couldn't wait to join the others.

When the walk started, Tori looked around and saw Alliasta, the girl she had met at the joke shop. It was nice to find a close friend on a day like this. She immediately went to the girl.

"Hi Oli. It's great to see you again. How are you? Wow, your outfit is really nice."

She opened her bag and took out an LGBT badge. She handed it to Alliasta. "Would you like one? I have plenty."
