I never went clubbing with my flatmates even though they were very thoughtful to invite me to go with them every time they went out.
At the end of the year they organised an end of year dance party with the whole building before everyone would go home. I decided "what the hay, I'll go" and everyone was buzzing over the fact that I'd be coming. It was as if the tag line of the event was "Be there or be square, because Emi's coming!!"
It was a good evening! I bought one pint that lasted me the full five hours (I'm very careful that way
) and the whole time they made sure I felt welcome 
Had a good time. Lol, there was one girl who I suspect had a teensy bit too much grin so hard at me every time we walked past each other And bless, there was a girl who was considered quite popular who came and talked to me. We talked about student life etc. and commented nicely on the dress I wore that evening. I laughed, talking about how it clashes with my pale face because don't wear makeup and she said, "you're too gorgeous for all that palava. Don't be a fancy coloured orange, just be yourself Emi". And I've remembered that conversation for the last 4 years
