Aurelia Valentine wrote: 2 Jun 2025, 10:53 I am suddenly struck with the feeling that I have lost something important. Then I remembered Pettely and now I am holding a grudge against him for disappearing just when I made a beautiful banner for him.

Like, you owe me a starter, boy!
I hope things are kinder to him. I miss bantering with someone.
Still thinking about him?
Man miss him too :<
Why wouldn't I? He's a friend; he reminds me of my another friend who talks without second guessing if it was inappropriate. I do miss his attempts to prove me wrong and then fail miserably.

Pettely's absence would not affect me that much if he had been decent enough to report his absence. I suppose it was a sudden decision and probably not his fault. He said he will make sure to report next time as he did not realise that it is important.

Sometimes I would stare at abandoned accounts and wonder if something bad happened to them to the point they couldn't come back. I obsess over it, reading their activity through the posts they left. Sometimes when I am online, I just do this. Read their posts and wonder.
Ikrrr :cryhappy:
I luv how he's so authentic. I can't imagine how tough it must be to be in a community where everyone is soo sweet and nice and yet everyone's telling ya "you're rude" and "go get a sense of humour". I would've left the site if I were him. Where does one find the strength to stay in a community where you don't seem to fit in? He stayed though. He strived to change for the better yet stubbornly clung on to what makes him uniquely himself. Even if it comes in the form of face-kicks and pretending to have been me kidnapped and strapped to a chair. I never realized how much I valued his presence until he disappeared. Grrr I need to stop taking people for granted.

I wonder that too :< so many of my friends haven't come online in months; just thinking about them is painful enough. As someone who's made the decision to leave this site for good twice but eventually came back both times, the thing that stopped me from making a return was not wanting to face the guilt of abandoning friends, replies, the community and all the promises I'd have broken in the process. Is that why people leave? Or could something terrible really have happened to them? I don't know, and I likely never will.
No matter how active I am, I did not really catch people calling him out for his behaviour. I thought, at least in his situation, everything was fine. He did not stop too - just continuing his life and glorifying himself whilst also interacting with others. I got this vibe that he must only be in his early teens, and I am not particularly ignorant with this type of behaviour as I am also unbearable at that stage of my life.

I was surprised when he confessed that he was scared - filling up his chats with bewares, reminders, and such - that he must be offending someone. I thought he was bluffing as I perceived him as someone who does not actually care about others' opinion, then he revealed that people were owling him left and right, calling him out, and even escalating the matters to staff.

I actually subconsciously thought that the situation aforementioned would happen one of those days but I was not happy about being right at the time. Calling him out for harmless jokes and threatening to ban him for it - I perceived this as something putting off his fire entirely. Pettely does not have to restrict the entirety of his personality in order to fit in. The fact that he fought hard to refrain himself from making such offensive jokes actually shows how much he did not want to leave the site entirely; making me wonder if he had any friends in real life.

I wonder if he became tired from treading on eggshells. This community is not supposed to scare off someone for being different. If he cannot wear a mask in order to fit in then we do not deserve to put him down like that. Sigh, I wish I interacted with him more; once he come back I am going to tell him how much I treasure my friendship with him - come to think of it, he must not have known this. I would not be thinking like this if I was not paranoid because of those abandoned accounts littering the Games Room.
