Family Letters
Sitting upon her bed in her new home Adlai pulled a piece of parchment paper off from her nightstand. A bottle of ink and quill following after. Since phones didn’t operate anywhere near Hogwarts she had promised her parents she’d write to them. Letting them know she was safe and well kept for.

To my dearest Mother and Father,
I am pleased to inform you that I am in good health and have arrived safely to my new school. I had made an acquaintance named Leah Isbell on the train ride here. Her older siblings had attended our school before us, thus Leah seems to be very knowledgeable of how things work here and I am very grateful for her advice.
I was put into the school house of Hufflepuff which is interestingly enough a house for the kind and hardworking. I also joined the dorm room called Wenlock Lodge where I have packed away my things and write this letter to you from. Everyone had been very welcoming.
How are you all? Are Johanna and Dorothy behaving themselves? Please know that as soon as the first school break comes around I’ll be coming home as soon as I can to see you all.

Family Letters
Adlai’s Mother was exhilarated when the letter arrived. Although she forced herself to wait to read until Adlai’s Father had come home. Late that night when Adlai’s Sisters were fast asleep they read the letter.
Relieved their daughter was safe and well they worked together to concoct a letter of their own to send Adlai.
Receiving her parents letter a day later during breakfast, Adlai had ripped it open anxious to see what her parents had to say. She smiled down at the paper. Currently having nothing else to write to her parents about she waited.

We are all doing tremendously although we all miss you very much. Dorothy and Johanna have been just fine. However, they keep asking when you’ll come home. We all can’t wait to see you again.
We’re very excited for you and your new found friendship with Leah Isbell. We’re also very proud of you for getting into the house of Hufflepuff, although we don’t quite know what that means. But you are kind and hardworking so we expect nothing but the best marks from.
Remember to get enough sleep, to bathe properly, and eat well. With these three things you are bound to succeed.
Do write us the day you find out when the first school break will begin. We have plenty of surprises in mind for you.

Family Letters
Retrieving a letter that of which her parents had written her Adlai sat on her bed her homework sprawled out in front of her. Taking a break she opened the letter .
Adlai smiled down at the letter taking out a piece of black parchment and beginning her own.
Three days later a packages had been given to Adlai. It was the late birthday gift her parents had mentioned in their letter.
Inside the package was a lovely long sleeve midnight blue dress with silver earrings and a small pack of basic makeup, atop it all was a note that said “For those special occasions, love Mom and Dad.”
Adlai hugged the package to her chest and swiftly began on her next letter.

I have been well, school has been a bit difficult but then again it is new material I have never heard of until now. Astronomy was rather enjoyable though. Family Letters
Rushing to her room from the abandoned bathroom Adlai pulled a piece of parchment out from her school bag and instantly began to write a letter to her parents.
She was flustered and her cheeks were still extremely red when she finished but she paid no mind to it and rolled about her bed. This was going to be a marvelous year.

Dear Mum and Dad,
The Halloween Masquerade was fantastic, I met plenty of new people who were well dressed and very lovely. However, sadly it all went down in flames since I became very tired and retired to my dorm room early.
I made a new friend today but the name of @Virgil Lee he’s a very smart boy who I know will do great things in the future. He’s also kind, soft spoken, and gentle unlike Leah who is just as loud and hyperactive as me.
My classes have been going on just as fine and I seem to be catching up with my peers which I’m glad about, though I know more studying will may off very quickly.
If you don’t mind me asking, how are Dorothy and Johana? And have you brought Dexter inside to make sure he isn’t to cold? I can’t wait to see you all again when winter break swings around.
