I mean, i'm not Kaitlyn, but that's the point of an ability, correct? And, I mean, if we can use it for our newts and owls then I'd assume so

Yes. So, the change is that you can do Charms homework by stating your name and saying that you have the prodigal charms ability. You can do that every year, right through graduation. You can also use it to not have to complete the OWLS and NEWTs for the class (which are separate from the Year 5 and 7 lessons).

You also get 1 restricted charm. IDK how they are implementing that at this time.

Furthermore, there is a separate Restricted Charms ability you could eventually get (as an adult) that requires the prodigal Charms ability OR satisfactory OWL score.
