OOC Let's Chat!

I went with a very 'normal' name for the purpose of playing an immersion character so when players reference her (positively or negatively) it feels like a person they might have dealt with before. I have found that people tend to be more passionate about things when they can immerse themselves in to the character. So I went with the most Irish name I could think of less 'Bonnie' because I have a friend named that and well... this is not a great person to think of when thinking of a friend.

I tend to lean on more unique names in a sense. Not that Alexx/Alexxandira is unique outside of the double X's, but in character creation as a whole, I like rare names, or names from other languages. I particularly like Icelandic names.

Surprised I'm the only Andrew so far. I thought it was a fairly ordinary/common name..

I doubt there will be another Dymphna but never say never. My plan for her has changed A TON during our time at HiO. She was originally a Hufflepuff, more like Luna and less Hermione and she was gonna be a Healer like her mom. A lot has changed but I think it’s the good kind. I’m more of a planner when it comes to characters but there’s some stuff that’s fun to see where it leads instead.

Alexx was always meant to be a Slytherin, that was what I was trying to get. But same, my plan for Alexx changed a lot too. At the moment, Alexx is starting to think the sorting hat gave her the wrong house.

I myself is a die hard slytherin and I was thinking of using one of my southern characters for this but then I realized I should use my most interesting character: A non binary griffindor that has green hair and lives in a mansion literally filled with all slytherin graduates/was sorted but then got expelled/abandoned as a slytherin. Though there are a lot of people too that went to other magic schools...

So yea 

Irl I am a Hufflepuff so I tried to get Annie into Hufflepuff so I could base her a bit off of myself when I started to RP with her, but over time she has grown and is basically her own person now (I'm so proud of my baby ;3). At the same time though I incorporate some of each of the traits of the houses in her because I am a strong Hufflepuff but not without some Slytherin and Ravenclaw in there as well (Sorry Gryffindor's, I'm a wimp and never got sorted into your house). It just depends on how I grow as a person with my writing style and if that affects Annie in any way. Plus different scenarios Annie can act differently (like we as humans do in every day life wow!). Yeah enough of my sarcastic writing/ranting..
