Gryffindor v Ravenclaw 1st Game Finished

1, 2,3 it is as easy as that and it really was as she put the quaffle in the goal posts 3 times in a row the crowd went wild and Gryffindors keeper was really slacking off. Even though they were up by quite a bit and Gryffindor had lost many players she needed to focus on winning the game. It was the first of the season and no doubt the whole school was watching so this mattered a lot if they won or lost. Also there was her dad. A star quidditch player and really someone to admire and live up to. If she made just one wrong move her reputation could be taken down forever and she might have to live with the pain. All she could do was her best and hope that her teammates did their best too so that they could win this game.

Things were going further downhill. If the Gryffindor team had hit an all-time low before, they were falling further downhill. If before was rock-bottom, this was rock-bottoms older brother. The Ravenclaws were fighting hard and they were winning! Millie was kind of upset that she had to take the dumb penalty instead of being able to steal the quaffle.

She huffed as she was finally done with her penalty. Now it was time for her to get back in the game. It wasn't going to be easy, but there had to have been a chance that Gryffindor could pull through! They just had to keep their spirits up and keep trying. The game was about having fun, anyway, right?

The captain might not have been there physically to tell him, but Hugh remembered all Kyle had shown him during training sessions. While he had clearly messed up defending the goal posts so far, he had now abandoned them completely. Because there was one rule that stuck above all in the Gryffindor quidditch team:
"The team is your family. And we support and look out for our family."
With as much speed as he could muster, Hugh raced towards the falling figure. Lamik had been knocked off and was now rocketing towards the ground. With his long arm extended, the half-giant reached out and rapidly caught the small body by his shoulder. Pulling the boy up on his broom. Hugh nodded to himself as he acknowledged what Lamik screamed over his shoulder.
"Hang in tight mate, this will be rough I'm sure"

Still tense and worried about Eris, Max watched the game through gritted teeth. Ravenclaw was brutal, racking up points while still managing to take Gryffindors out of the sky. It was a hard game and with the way they were trailing there was only one hope for them now; get the Snitch. It would be difficult to do with Gryffindor's second-string Seeker stuck on the Keeper's broom, however they were from the house of the lion and many a red-and-gold student had gotten out of a tight squeeze before.

His nervous thoughts were interrupted by a cheer, and the storm cloud across his face momentarily broke as he turned around to wave at Serena. He was glad she was there supporting the team, bringing up the morale with her cheers even if she was also cheering for Ravenclaw. Hopefully with more support and a very luck break, Gryffindor could turn this thing around.

With the help of Raine, Arlis managed to make it back to her broom, but at the cost of Raine being hit with a bludger. Those things hurt, and Arlis hoped that the other girl was ok. she seemed to be coping or she was at least still on the broom. Their second seeker almost went down, but luckily there was someone there to catch him this time. it looked like the odds were stacked against them but maybe if they were lucky Gryffindor could come from behind and take the victory. There was still a chance, no matter how small.

With Jorah pointing the way with his bat, Ruthie steered the broom towards the nearest bludger. With a loud SMACK! he pummeled the bludger towards Arlis and Raine. The hit was successful, but the pair managed to keep each other from falling. Jorah then watched Arlis mount her fallen broom. Lucky Lion, he thought. Had that bludger hit her after she mounted her broom, she would have been out for sure. Jorah surveyed the field. He saw both seekers racing in the same direction. The game would be over soon, but who would claim victory?

[font=book antiqua]It wasn't too concerning that Gryffindor would score. Dymphna didn't want to write them off so quickly though. The few people she knew on the team were fantastic players and it could turn around in their favour at any moment. Still, she focused mainly on her fellow teammates. Her new first year friends [JORAH & RUTHIE] were still riding together. That had to be rough. As Lavinia scored yet again, Dymphna wondered if she would go pro.

Had Neculai found the Snitch yet? He seemed more focused, flying with purpose now. Would the match be over so quickly?

Another goal. Wow, they were really dominating this game. As Cecily finished her obnoxiously long penalty lap, she scanned the field to see what she had missed. Even more brooms hovered vacant-- even more Lions had been knocked off of their brooms. Their Seeker was now riding with their keeper. Slightly unfortunate, she supposed, as she was pretty sure that the Gryffs didn't have a third string Seeker, but it was probably better for the consciences of all on and around the pitch today. There had already been a terrifying amount of injuries, and that wasn't the real reason they were here today. To win, yes. To destroy...perhaps not literally.

Either way, it was time for Cecily to get back into the game. That feeling of helplessness that had overtook her as she raced around the perimeter of the pitch was gone, replaced by a competitive fire that was fueled by the sight of Neculai flying with a purpose. If he had found the snitch, maybe they could win this here and now.

The golden snitch had just flown past him. His red eyes immediately floowed that glittering gold and wouldn't leave his sight. I spotted the snitch! He yelled as loud as he could. The marmer white hands gripped the wooden broom ever tighter as Neculai chased its target, eager to win the game.

What was the point of playing Quidditch if the quaffle served no purpose? Of course Lavinia scored again, she always dominated the score and while it was in her best interest to yell and shriek like the Gryffindors, she smiled broadly. Her eyes followed Neculai, the game was coming to an end; if there was a perfect time to broadcast his abilities, this was it. There was only one thing on her mind and repeatedly she thought to herself, please don't catch the snitch.

Emma couldn't bear to have another repeat of last game, but it seemed that's where it was going. At least both their seeker and keeper had evened the playing field, well, sort of. She had no clue what kind of tricks Gryffindor had up their sleeves, but from what she had witnessed, worrying about their play was the least of her problems.

Finally, perhaps the cherry on top she needed, she grinned and edged herself closer to the Ravenclaw seeker. Calling back out with relief, she kept the same grin, "Finally!" Yelling on the field was simply not going to do any good. She couldn't wait to get the game over.
