I've been quite fortunate to work during the summer after all my studies have finished (for the academic year at least!) I had all my assignments etc. done in April and was able to start work last week once I reapplied

If all goes well and I keep working all summer, I'll be able to finish right before the next academic year starts. The only thing then is to find more work to compensate the dwindling savings I'll be spending throughout my time at uni.

I forgot to reply to your first statement but so real, I think having a backer instead of playing it fair is straight-up corruption. It's important to have connection nowadays as it will make you go to places unimaginable. I remembered applying for my dream state university and been standing in the queue under the sun so I could take the entrance exam whilst others have it easy by being simply endorsed because of the connection they have inside the school. It applies to everywhere! Smh
