Chezem felt absolute relief when she said the many questions were alright. "Thank goodness, I know i tend to chatter quite a bit, as for the giant squid, definitely. It would not only be fascinating, but it would also be a great learning experience and we would be able to make friends with the giant squid, surely that could be quite useful at some point, right?" He questionede, withdrawing into his own mind for a bit. 

"Well typically there are many things to consider when getting a cat, not only breed, but but the ammount of time that it takes to care for them, how often they need exercise, what kind of food they like to eat, and many other things. I personally prefer a cat that is a bit lazy and will just sit in my lap letting me pet them while I read my latest book or do homework. Thats something else, breed just doesn't really affect anything in the personality department. Thats the catself. " He said, his book falling from his bag. "Oh come on, you have cat to be kitten me right meow. This is pawful, truly a cat-astrophe. However will I live? I'm feline miserable now." He quipped.

Selene smiled of how playing with the giant squid in the lake sounded fun and how would be a great learning experience for both first years "I reckon it would be quite pleasant and a bit odd having the giant squid in the lake as our companion but who's judging anyway" Selene said not minding those who will judge them for befriending the giant squid in the lake. Chezem then explained to Selene about not just to focus only on the breed but as well as the personality a cat owns "That is true and you're right Chezem, I suppose the type of cat I want is a playful and loving yet I also want a peaceful one that likes cuddling but I'll discuss it with my parents another day" Selene replied and as soon as Chezem then began making cat puns that quickly made something inside Selene jump with excitement and laugh at Chezem's cat puns "You truly are the cat's pajamas and have a pawsitive cattitude, paw-lease we must meet up one day perhaps on caturday ?" Selene asked joining Chezem with his hilarious cat puns as she was giggling.

Chezem's whole personality perked up when she joined in with the cat puns. "That sounds pawsitively clawesome, I'm sure it will be cat-tastic to meet with mew on  caturday." He said. "Maybe after lunch? I spend the mornings working on homework because no one is really awake then to disturb me or interrupt me. And it's horrible in the Slytherin common room because it's so open and you can hear everything that everyone is saying and it just really isn't a conducive place to study. Not in the slightest. And I need to study hard if I ever want to achieve my dream of becoming a Potions Master someday. It really isn't easy." He said. "I don't have a lot, but that is the one thing I desperately want." It was true that Slytherin House were respectful of each other most of the time but there were just some nuisances that really couldn't be avoided no matter how hard one tried or how often one tried to avoid them. "So, Saturday? Do you want to go to the lake then? I'm fairly certain I have a beach ball somewhere in my runk though i'm not sure how it even got in there in the first place."

Selene finished giggling as Chezem replied with cat puns about meeting at the lake after lunch since he does his homework in the morning since there was no one in the Slytherin common room to disturb him. Along with how irritating it was when he could hear the different conversations, Chezem then started talking about how he needs to study to achieve his dream of becoming a potions professor. "We are still young and it's going to take a long time but us Hufflepuff's value and appreciate those who work hard and you sir are now one of them because I see the dedication in you and see that becoming a potions master is everything you truly want" Selene said as she put her hand on Chezem's shoulder comforting him. Chezem then asked if Saturday seemed like a good day to meet up at the lake and that he will bring a beach ball that he surprisingly found packed into his trunk which made Selene chuckle "Yes, I'll meet you by the lake Saturday after lunch" Selene agreed

"We are still young and it's going to take a long time but us Hufflepuff's value and appreciate those who work hard and you sir are now one of them because I see the dedication in you and see that becoming a potions master is everything you truly want."

Chezem smiled when he heard her say that. "Well, Ihave a confession to make. The sorting hat was debating between putting me in Slytherin or in Hufflepuff. I'm definitely not a Ravenclaw, they like learning everything, whereas I am more into learning things that interest me. It is just how I am and I would rather not change it for anything in the world. Our Common Room looks into the lake and we sometimes have conversations with the mermaids by using sign language. It's amazing. The older years are teaching us sign language so we can communicate with them, it's simply amazing. So, Saturday after lunch, we go to the lake, and I will bring my beach ball because playing in the water and sand is fun and I'm sure the squid gets bored just floating in the water all day long. I have a fast metabolism so I'm going to bring along snacks. I'm always hungry because I burn so much energy." He said. "So don't be surprised if I show up with a basket of snacks and drinks. I get them daily from the house-elves in the kitchen, and I have the teachers permission." Chezem rambled on as he smiled.

Selene listened to Chezem as he confessed of how the sorting hat was deciding to put him in Slytherin of Hufflepuff, she didn't know what to say, so she just stayed silent until Chezem then brought up that in his common room the older students taught them sign language so that they can talk to the mermaids that lived within the lake "What?!" Selene exclaimed but got shushed from the other students in the library, a blush of red in embarrassment rose up onto Selene's face as she cleared her throat. "Sorry, but I'm just amazed that your common room is connected within the lake and how you plus your housemates can converse with the mermaids, that is quite marvelous, I've always wanted to see a mermaid and perhaps chat with one but I'm just too bashful to meet one upfront" Selene revealed as her grin changed into a pout. It was then Chezem told Selene that he will bring his beach ball so that they wouldn't get bored and that he will bring a basket of snacks and drinks courtesy of the house-elves from the kitchens. "You've met the House-elves as well ?!" Selene asked "I've heard of them from my parents and similar with the mermaids I'm just to shy to meet anyone new" Selene admitted

Chezem watched her for a bit. "Would you like to meet them? I could take you to the kitchens so you can meet them, and I can teach you sign language if you'd like...That way, if we happen to meet a mermaid out at the lake, we can converse with them. It wouldn't be any trouble either, I'd be practising my own sign language if I were to teach you because I myself am just a little bit hopeless. Currently, I am doing good in all of my classes but they don't require anything but our wands so I can't sign then, and then I can't ask the older kids because they are too busy studying, and I don't want to practise with the mermaids in case I accidentally offend one of them." Chezem realised that once again he was rambling and should really shut up about that stuff, smiling as he watched her a bit embarrassedly. 

"So....lovely....weather...we're having??" He immediately started berating himself for that remark. Weather? Seriously? That is what you immediately say to someone to keep conversation going? Way to go, dolloped, Fantastic job of being a clot pole. Truly. He started fidgeting as he waited for the sun to rise and they took police force.
