Josephine was leaving one of her afternoon classes, books in hand. She was already annoyed and irritated, having accidentally overslept and missed breakfast. She was running low on fuel, and that class nearly bored her out of her mind. The young girl was feeling a bit antsy, chewing her bottom lip as she paced through the corridors. Piles and piles of homework awaited her after she'd finished with classes, and what was she to do with it? Certainly not actually do it. No, of course not. Josephine had much better things to do with her time like chase that nasty squirrle from yesterday around with her wand. She was going to zap him today, she could feel it in her bones.
While walking and thinking of the squirrle she was going to mess with later, her head transcended into the clouds a bit. Her mind was no longer tied to the ground and her body was now on autopilot, walking without much knowledge of her surroundings. Jo narrowly avoided a few other students, mostly due to their wit and ability to avoid her, not the other way around. Surely, in enough time if Josephine didn't bring herself back down to earth, someone would get the blunt end of her disassociation.

Classes suck. He loves magic but the classes were tiring without a doubt. Jack walked alone down the long bustling hallway. All he could really think about was stuffing his face with as much food as possible then taking the most needed name he could ever imagine. Not once did his mother mention the amount of work that came along with going to this magic, hocus pocus, abracadabra school. Yet Hogwarts food was to die for. Anything and everything he could dream of eating. Water began to build up in his mouth, and he idly licked his lips. mmhh food.
However, the timing was not his friend. As soon as he let his tongue leave his mouth he felt his shoulder run straight into another student. Involuntarily he bit down hard on his tongue, which resulted in a flurry of curses. His mother would be ashamed if she had heard some of the things that escaped from his mouth. Whirling around, Jack turned to face the offender that had caused him to bite himself. "Hey! Watch where you are going!" The boy sneered. Under his breath he continued, "That freakin' hurt." His reaction normally would have never been this loud or angry, but...c'mon who isn't upset when they bite their tongue. It really stinkin' hurts!

Josephine who was much smaller than the boy she'd run into, stumbled off to the side a bit, dropping the books and papers that she had in her hands. It was a true nightmare situation for the young girl. All those papers... strewn across the floor. Her dignity while picking those up was going to be next to none. Her face was red with anger as she turned towards the boy who'd snapped her out of her daydreaming haze with his very hard and wide shoulder.Interacting with @Jack Warren
"You watch where you're going. Couldn't you see I was walking there?" Josie huffed, eyebrows furrowed as she marched right up to the boy. He was a bit taller than her, but not by much. She could look him right in the eye and show no fear whatsoever. "What kind of blind fool runs right into a person?" Granted, Josephine hadn't been watching where she was going either. But would she ever admit she was at fault? Absolutely not. "Now all my books and work are on the floor! I should make you pick those up. In fact, I will! Go pick them up!" The young girl stood with her hands on her hips, a little curl falling in front of her face. She wasn't usually so rude because of her mothers engraved ideals of how important first impressions were, but her temper was quick to set off.

He could taste that slight ting of iron from where he had bit his tongue. Apparently it had started to bleed. Jutting out his jaw, he glared at the girl. That really hurt! C'mon! "I am the one with my eyes open. You were the one staring off like you have nothing between your ears!" He retorted immediately. "Blind? Let me tell you somethi-" His words stopped as he heard the girl's next comment. There was no way in hell that he would ever do that! He would have normally if things had started off differently. However, now that she had basically commanded for him to pick up the papers and books, Jack would wait for hell to freeze over before he would actually do as he was told! "You can't be serious? Like I would ever do that." He crossed his arms over his chest and popped up a single warning eyebrow. "You must be something close to mad if you think ordering me to that will actually work. Which it won't." The clarification was necessary, Jack thought. "Why don't you go pick up your things, and we can just walk on." He was hungry and already growing tired of this interaction as a whole.

Josephine's lip sneered at the boys obvious attitude. But growing up with an older brother much larger than this little weasel in front of her, she felt no fear. "No." Jo insisted, arms crossing to mimic Jack's movements. "You and I aren't going anywhere until my books are picked up." The young girls posture read much higher than her actual height. Even if she was small, her energy carried stronger than her little body may have portrayed. "And I'm not going to pick them up. You're the only other one here." Jo hissed, stepping closer to get in the boys face. "So do it."
At this point, Jo had dug herself into a hole too deep to have him not pick the books up. If her dignity would have been damaged before, now it would have been completely obliterated. "If you do, I won't hex you for running into me with your boney shoulder." Josephine didn't actually know any hexes. In fact, she hadn't been picking up spells all that easily, but she'd be damned if she let this scrawny boy know that. With a poker face that could match a gambling master, it was likely that Jack wouldn't be able to tell she was bluffing.

"No?" He repeated incredulously, surprise flashing across his face. She had the gall to tell him that he would not go anywhere until her items that were scattered across the floor were picked up. He let out a disbelieving half sigh, half-laugh. "Well, your stuff will stay on the ground. I won't be picking it up, sorry to say. So no. I won't do it." A small shit-eating grin forms on his face. "What are you going to do about it?" Leaning forward the boy brought himself closer to Josephine's face. Hunger was starting to scratch lightly at his stomach, once again reminding him that this girl was causing him to miss out on his dinner.
"Are you willing to hex me and take the repercussions for it?" He sneered. Jack fully believed that she could cast a hex on him, but he doubted the threat would be unlikely for her to actually do. Although, he bent over away from her, and picked up a single sheet of parchment with a thumb and index finger. "There. I picked something up for you." Reaching out his hand, Jack holds the single sheet. If she were to reach out and try to grab it, the boy would drop it. Snarky and petty is Jack's middle name.

Josephine hated how smug this boy was. In the way he smirked, the way he talked- all of it read him having the ego the size of the Titanic. Despite him being taller, he didn't scare her. The fact that he so blatantly and without care brought himself so close to her face, just made her angrier. "What am I going to do about it?" If she was back in London, she'd have punched his boys nose crooked. "Tienes suerte de que haya ojos en todas partes-" Jo had a habit of using Spanish to express herself when she was feeling the rage of a thousand burning suns, but quickly realized that the boy in front of her most likely didn't speak the language. "You're lucky that there are eyes everywhere, or I'd turn you into a garden snake right here, right now."
To her surprise, the boy actually bent down to get a piece of paper off the floor... It wasn't much, but if she could get one paper out of him, surely she could get him to pick up the whole pile. She quickly moved to snatch the paper out of his hand, only to be surprised when he released it. Honestly, she should have seen that coming. Jack caught her slipping. Josephine's jaw hung open for a moment, watching the paper flutter down to the ground. What a damn weasel.
Anger was slowly bubbling over in Josephine's mind. She reached forward, and shoved the taller boy with all of her strength. Jo figured that was better than punching him square in the throat like her brother would have told her to do.

This little girl wasn't going to back down, was she? Jack's laid back smugness remained plastered on his face as he just watched the girl throw her little tantrum. She didn't scare him, but to be fair nothing really frightened him anymore. She was no boogie man, so he knew that he had nothing to fear. As she continued to speak thoughts of food danced in around in his head. Jack had a little knack for letting his mind wander, even in the most serious of situations. However, this was far from serious.
A strong force suddenly pressed against his chest, causing him to stumble several feet backward. A downside to letting himself ignore the girl was that his reaction time was far less impressive. Somehow he had managed to stay on his feet, but it was really a feat of dexterity. Twisting awkwardly, Jack's right foot lifted off the ground to help anchor himself into a somewhat balanced position. Finally catching his balance, he slammed his foot back down on the ground. "Did you just freaking push me? What the hell is wrong with you?!" He spat angrily. "Who pushes somebody for not picking up their papers? May remind you, YOU dropped your own papers!"
