Cecilia smiled nicely at her and she smiled back. He did not seem to noticed her offered hand, for he continued on, commenting that they could call him by Ce or Cece. Nott put her hand down, feeling a bit self-conscious since most people would politely take an offered hand. Because of this she considered the boy before her again before realizing her foolishness. He had taked out a foldable cane, and upon closer examination of his eyes, she realized he was blind. Now she felt very foolish for extending her hand, for he probably didn't even notice it! At least if he hadn't noticed, he wouldn't be offended, but Nott still felt bad. She endeavored to pretend that she had realized immediately all along."Hello Nott."
Next Jay greeted Cecilia and introduced himself to him. Afterwards, Cecilia inquired about the lower bed on the other side of the room. Maya replied first that it was free for him.
She said, claiming the bunk above Nott."I guess that’s leaves me with this one."
Just then Jay joked to Cecilia that he would try not to let a stray hand flail into the other boy when falling from the upper bunk. He would instead try to simply fall. This struck Nott as an incredibly odd thing to say, even jokingly. Her eyebrows raised, watching the boys interact, and stayed silent.
Cecilia didn't seemed bothered at all and joked back that he didn't want to be woken from dreams of geleto. Nott was a bit lost. What in the world was geleto? And why would someone dream about it? As a guess, the word sounded a bit like food. It definitely sounded foreign however. Why would someone want to dream about it?
Cecilia expressed his concern for Jay if he were to fall off of the bed, and then said it would be best if Jay were to fall onto his bed, for it would hurt less than if he fell onto the floor.
Nott just stared at him. This selfless boy would rather Jay fall onto him and potentially hurt him than hurt himself on the floor! And how would Jay even fall in that direction, it made no sense. Unless the boat tilted and swayed at an extreme degree at the right moment, it was an encredibly unlikely maneuver. And of course, Jay couldn't intentionally plan his fall while asleep anyway.
Nott forcibly lowered her eyebrows and straightened her posture and placed her hands in her lap. She was extremely uncomfortable. Thankfully Maya spoke up.
At this, Nott stood again to face her bed. She needed to finish organizing her belongings into the trunk. "Are you tired?" Nott asked Maya, and also the two boys while she worked. It didn't take very long to finish since she had already accomplished much. She hefted the trunck and slid it under the bed near the head side."Now the beds are sorted what do you guys feel like doing?"

"Don't fall from your bed Jay, a smack from you and I would say adios to my dream gelato"
This comment from Cecilia elicited a short bark of laughter from Jay. He knew what gelato was - wonderful, cold and creamy, almost like ice cream, yet different. To be torn from a dream of such a splendid phenomenon by a sudden whack in the nose would indeed be a tragedy of drastic proportions.
Before he could shoot back a sarcastic response, however, Cece continued, his voice taking on a concerned tone.
"But please don't actually fall from your bed tho, it would be painful despite the smack happens or not."
He then went on to say that Jay should attempt to fall on his bed, on top of Cece himself, in fact, if the oaf were actually to manage rolling off the top bunk.
One of the things that Jay appreciated the most about meeting new people was learning about them, discovering their personalities, delving deep past the outer shell that everyone saw and getting to know who they really were, deep down in their hearts. And, though he had only just met the boy, these words from Cecilia, along with the apparently genuine concern behind them, revealed a sense of unfeigned love and concern for those around him, a trait which Jay could relate to quite well.
Not one to feel particularly concerned about personal space, Jay wrapped a playful arm around Cece's shoulders and said cheerfully, "I think you and I are going to get along swell, my friend."
Maya then spoke up, “Now the beds are sorted what do you guys feel like doing?” she wondered.
Nott responded by asking them all if they were tired as she set about putting the rest of her belongings away.
Jay glanced at his own things warily. They still sat next to his trunk, inviting him to put them where they ought to go, as Nott had done. That was not an invitation he particularly felt like accepting at the moment.
Eager for an excuse to escape that responsibility for a while, he threw a finger in the air and proclaimed, "I, for one, have plenty of energy to burn. What do you guys say we head outside, smell the roses, climb a tree, maybe even poke fun at our fellow camp-mates for not being a part of the unavoidably best cabin in the hole darn place, which, if you hadn't already surmised, happens to be this particular cabin." He pointed at the floor by way of indicating the room they currently stood in.
If any of them were hesitant to head outside just yet, he had more verbal ammunition to throw at them, consisting of suggestions ranging from seeing who could throw a rock the farthest to picking a random direction and irresponsibly setting off on an adventure.

Cecilia was checking his pocket if his sunglasses are still staying in his pocket after the last few hours traveling, clearly doesn't realize the illogical of what he just said, probably because of his lack of vision to make him believes of such bizarre physical way Jay could possibly fall on the bed right under him perfectly without some kind of magical help. Or it's just simply because, Cecilia still hadn't grasped the idea of a bunk bed. So he just innocently and genuinely thought it was possible, probably would have a good laugh with his friends in the future when he realized his mistake as an eleven years old kid.
As he was fidgeting with the glasses in his pocket, suddenly, an arm hugged around his shoulder, which he realized was Jay's as his energetic voice is the closest to him.
"I think you and I are going to get along swell, my friend."
Although Cecilia was a little bit startled by Jay's friendly and fond action, without the unnecessary politeness he always sees other people always act around him like he was some kind of glass doll, which is usually after knowing that he's blind. He got used to that kind of reaction people have since his early years, but still, he knew it wasn't something he could get comfortable with, Cecilia knew that he's not a fragile disadvantaged boy who always need people to act gently and polite around him all the time like a harmless normal conversation that includes "seeing" as a normal verb would shatter him into pieces somehow.
And that's a big reason why he is just so surprised at Jay casually wrabbing his arm around Cece's shoulders as he would with the other kids, but at the same time, happily grinned at Jay with a wide toothy smile
"Me too pal" he answered Jay quietly, it'd be impossible for the other kid to hear his little whisper.
“Now the beds are sorted what do you guys feel like doing?” Maya asked, which made him immediately think of unpacking his stuff, although it would be a boring and tiring thing to do, he has to do it, sooner or later. But then, again, he prefers the later
"Are you tired?"

Cecilia partially agreed with Jay, besides some activities he suggested, Cece really just wants to go out and do something than organizing his stuff for eternity, playing around, talking, feeling the wind and sunlight, the air and such, maybe find something to snack. Talking about food, he's getting really hungry now, Cece didn't eat anything on the train, feeling too excited to be hungry.
"Yeah, I'm going outside a little bit too, I'd like to have some food" Just hoping it'd be nothing like his old school's lunch meal, and if it is, then just pray that there's some kind of activity that allows him to cook himself.

Jay wrapped his arm around Cece’s shoulders in a sweet and playful way saying how he knew there two of them would get along and Cece grinned widely back, Maya wondered if anyone would even want to do anything since they all had to unpack but she still asked and waited for them to answer
Nott answered her by asking if everyone was tired “No I don’t really get tired” she replied to Nott, Maya always had trouble sleeping ever since she was a child and after... no not bringing it up not even thinking about it, she knows better than to bring up sad stories and personal facts so she brushed right past it not going into details
Maya then thought maybe Nott asked because she was tired or others in the room were, hopefully they weren’t because Maya was just itching for the opportunity to leave the room
Jay pointed his finger in the air as he started to speak
Cecilia agreed with Jay saying as long as they could have food once he said that Maya started to feel hungry as well, and with two of them saying they wanted to go out Maya jumped down from the top bunk was just sitting on and stood at the bottom of the ladder “I’ll go and explore outside and see what there is” she looked at Jay “See this is why you’re the royal highness, good idea” Maya smiled, he wasn’t going to live that down anytime soon and she was probably think of nicknames for her other roommates too

Jay seemed very full if energy as he jabbed a finger in the air and declared that he was not tired. He suggested going outside and even poking fun at other campers because, as he put it, they were not part of the unavoidably best cabin.
Nott smiled, she had been hoping they were tired, because she was pretty exhausted, but the jovial way Jay put it sounded fun. A little fun and games wouldn't hurt anyone, would it? And she wanted to join in and make friends, so she'd have to last a bit longer.
Nott had never been very social, but when she tried she tended to go along with what the other people did. She knew jumping on the bandwagon was not always a good decision, but this was the first day at a new school with new people and she did not want to become known as a boring, stiff goody-two-shoes.
Standing up, she stretched her arms over her head and then bounced on her toes a little in a bid to get her blood flowing... or something. Maybe it had to do with the supply of oxygen traveling through her body. She had read somewhere that if you stay up really late, you become less tired because of adrenaline, and after that runs out, you crash. Nott figured she only needed to stay up long enough for this to happen since it was summer camp and they could stay up or sleep whenever they wanted.
Cecilia agreed with Jay, stating he wanted some food and Nott found herself nodding too. Perhaps food would help her to be less tired. At Cece's comment Maya jumped up off the bed and stood on the bottom rung of the ladder.
She also wanted to get another view of the castle like she had wanted before. If they were staying up, they might as well, and she might even get a picture for her mother to see what the castle looks like. She wouldn't be able to print it, because, as far as she could tell, there was no printer at Hogwarts, but she could remove the SD card containing the pictures from the camera. When she wrote her first letter home, she could send the card then.
For this, she yet again dove into her now organized belongings and produced her mini camera. It needed batteries, so once it died either her mother would have to send some more, or she would have to wait until she went home again.
"I'll get a picture of the castle for my Mum, too."
