Wow, I feel jealous. I'd love a job that requires cleaning, not talking to customers.

See, that's why I loved everything else I did last year bar the cleaning. There was a period where I "wasn't needed" for room cleaning so I was sent off on my own (sometimes accompanied by my best friend, the clipboard ("clippy")) and did legionella checks, maintenance checks, replacing kitchen equipment etc. It was 5hrs of relatively calm work that I could manage without feeling like I was causing setbacks for everyone.

I'm not fast enough like everyone else to do deep cleans (I'm lucky to get 1-2 rooms done a day and they can get 5 done, 1 room under an hour each) and most of the time I'll have missed/ forgotten to clean something or I'll be called back to try and take off stains that literally won't come off!

Well, when you say it that way, that just sounds exhausting. You need to be fast too, when cleaning is only bearable when done in a leisurely pace.

For checks it honestly wasn't that bad. I could get through nearly two full lists of rooms to test the water (you're in and out 2 mins max each room). There was never pressure to finish everything in one day since I would more than likely continue where I left off next day, or else someone would finish for me and I'd do something else.

Cleaning on the other hand, I feel like I'm wasting time on just by scrubbing away with rags that get dirtied far too easily and quickly, as well as the fact that I was never even given training, tips, guidance etc. on how to improve. I've only ever been told "use this" or "find a routine" but it's never how to use it, when, etc.

They think just because I did 3 weeks of cleaning last year means I'm good at it now. Trust me, I'm not.
