Lesmana had spent some days in England for his preparation to teach Potions at Hogwarts. He has been travelling around England and taking in a different country's new air. His last destination to visit is Diagon Alley. So, through the Floo Powder network and a guide note from his father's colleague, Lesmana arrived at the marketplace
He heard that Diagon Alley could get really crowded during the back-to-school season. Just seeing how busy it was now already made Lesmana shudder at the thought of how chaotic it would be when the school rush began. There were many things to see there: with shops selling interesting objects, some wizards who gossiped, goblins who worked at the Gringgots, and a boy who threw a tantrum. Chuckling at the last thing he saw, Lesmana continued his sightseeing until he found the Magical Menagerie.
The doorbell clanked when he entered. Creatures of different sizes were seen. Some equipment and treats were displayed neatly, making Lesmana feel comfortable. Only a few people were there, including Lesmana and the shopkeepers. They greeted him warmly and asked him if he needed anything. He smiled and told them that he was looking around. They understood and let Lesmana continue his thing.
He looked at the animals there. All of them seemed to be in good care of the shopkeepers. He teased some cats and pet some friendly half-crups. He also tapped the container of the toads and lizards. He decided not to stay around the Pygmy Puffs since their cuteness wasn't good for his heart. He stopped at the spiders. It made him remember the spider he had kept when he was in Omah Geni in his school yers. Lesmana stood there for a long time, seeing all the spiders.
His attention was caught by a yellowish spider trying to come out from its nest. He approached it and whoop! The spider jumped and landed on his head. The man took the spider into his hands. He looked at its eyes and felt an affection for them. "I'm sorry. The spider came out from its nest." The shopkeeper told him that it was okay.
So Lesmana played a bit with the spider. It was quite jumpy and excited, which made him chuckle. He asked about the details of the spiders to the shopkeepers. He knew that the spider was more than one year old, wasn't harmless to humans unless they made it upset, and liked high things. They also added that the spiders liked to be around their humans. Even though the species was very different from the one he had in Omah Geni, he felt a closeness.
So he decided to take it home. He asked the shopkeepers about anything he should take note of when taking care of it since spiders in different countries might have different care. He also bought anything the shopkeepers suggested to him. When the purchase was finished, the shopkeepers asked if he wanted to name the spider.
"I would name him Skippy."
