Clock Wise
Watching Virgil walk up the stairs was down heartening, he was a very nice boy and she hadn’t meant to shoo him away so abruptly. Nonetheless there was nothing she knew she could do about it now.
Taking of her shoes Adlai rushes up the stairs almost tripping over her feet at the last steps, soon enough facing a crowd of Gryffindor and Slytherin students.
Tapping one of them on the shoulder she simply asked, “Do you know the time?”
“Yeah, 12:45 am.”
Adlai let out a revealed sigh knowing that she didn’t have to preform Dhuhr yet.
“Thank you.” She told them and began to weave her way through the sea of red and green.
She absolutely knew she was late for Transfiguration and knew she’d receive a scolding of some time when she arrived to the classroom.
‘Surely the Professor will understand my dilemma, right?’ she pondered.
Opening her bag she placed them carefully inside not wanting to crush any of her work.
‘I hope I didn’t cause Virgil to dislike me, he was good company. I hope we can become friends in the future.’
Soon enough she approached her class and slipped through the door taking a look at a clock on the hall one last time before taking her seat.
