You can't escape the lovely aromas of...
Yes! Andrew did a silent, mental fist pump after hearing Miss Beatrice's approval. Turning back to his cauldron, he continued on with the meticulous task of dipping his dowel and building up the layers until he reached what he believed to be the perfect thickness, before removing his candles from the heat, trimming the wicks, and lining his collection up to dry. Once the wax had hardened a bit, Andrew would select the best-looking one from the bunch, turning to Emma for the colorifying process.
"Could you…?" He held out his candle to Emma with a puppy-eyed pleading look. "I haven't learned the spell for it yet."
Then came the matter of narrowing down the exact color he wanted. Blue of course, but which shade of blue? Nothing too bright or neon-y… What about patterns or designs? The possibilities were endless! It was frustrating to pick just one. Being able to describe the images in his head was proving to be a challenge, without references in the classroom that he could point to, for Emma to be able to replicate the color exactly.
"Could you turn it blue?" He asked Emma. "Oh! What about ombre? Is that possible or is that too complicated? Could you do a darker blue on the bottom, and lighter bluish-white at the top? Like a 'washed' blue color.. Or. Wintry blue?" No, still too vague. This wasn't working…
Then it struck him. "No wait, what about a blue Morning Glory? That color blue. You know the ones back at my house, in the backyard? Do it exactly like that," he said firmly, pointing a finger along his candle to illustrate how he wanted the different tiers to go, in ascending order. "Blue at the bottom, little bit of white, and a teeny bit of yellow at the very top. Can you do that?" He asked hopefully.

OOC Note (12/13/2019): Don't know when Emma will have time to respond (if she does, I'll remove this little postscript), but just because I hate leaving things abrupt -- the thread pretty much ends with Emma colorifying Andrew's candle and the two of them exit the room.
