Morning - Sunday 4th of May, 2025
Between captain responsibilities, schooling, and the additional studying needed for the upcoming OWLs, the fifth year Hufflepuff had just about vanished from the public's view. The only people to have seen Lea's face as of late had been her roommates, the Hufflepuff quidditch team, and- now - all of the duellists and spectators. Recovering from the day before, she await that 10:30 call to hop up on the piste once more not as a duellist but as a moderator and referree. Arms extended out with a smile, she'd call out her announcements without waiting for the crowd to quiet- her voice was loud enough from practice at this point that she could trust they would hear and listen on their own.
"WELCOME ALL TO THE SECOND DAY OF THE SPRING DUELLING STAGE! To those of you who witnessed yesterday's duels, I hope you had a lovely time and let's make some noise for those who are competing today!" She glanced to the two sides with the awaiting duellists, giving them a small nod so they could join her on the piste. "Let's introduce our contestants! Will the snakes claim the crown or will the eagles soar to victory? That's right, it's Ravenclaw vs Slytherin!" Lea turned towards the Ravenclaw team first, arms pointing towards each individual as she called their names out. "To represent Ravenclaw, we have Cassian Clarke, Edward Foxe, and Dennis Tumberton!" Cassian she was fairly certain she had moderated for last time, a vaguely familiar face amidst the other second and third years Lea did not really know. She was excited to see how well they held their own though, awaiting a moment for the cheers to calm before addressing the Slytherin in a similar fashion. "And to represent Slytherin, we have Archer Duncan, Elisa Wagner, and Prat Pass!" Elisa had been a part of that same duel, no? And Prat Pass was a fellow captain who seemed to lead his team well- this was the next test though, one Lea had failed many times. But that didn't mean the Slytherin team would suffer the same fate, and Lea was excited to see how this would end.
"WITH THAT! You should all know the rules, but just in case-" The memorized monologue escaped with only a few stumbled additions just to make sure everyone was on the page. "If that is all and there are no objections? May the best team win... READY, SET, DUEL!"
InformationGood luck!

Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 6
@Archer Duncan & @Prat PassAs she silently read the names written on the stage 3 duelling matches, Elisa couldn't help but be reminded of her first ever official duel. First of all, it was the same moderator - a bright and friendly looking Hufflepuff upperclassman, Lea Hirsch. The Slytherins also found themselves once again against their Ravenclaw buddies.
Elisa only hoped that they would be as lucky as they had been back then - they had beaten the Ravenclaws with all three of the snakes still standing. This time, though... Elisa thought as her eyes travelled from word to word, we'll be against two third years...
The second year girl entered the oak doors of the duelling club, took a quick glance around the room and, not yet catching sight of her teammates, stood at the side of the duelling piste, fidgeting around nervously. Upon the arrival of the two Slytherin boys, she would greet them with a small wave and a timid smile, then at Lea's signal would walk onto the piste to face the Ravenclaw team. She would offer a little nod and a grin to her opponents, and finally would draw out her chestnut wood wand, at the ready.

Another season, another duel.
Archer smirked as he entered the piste, wand flicking in his nimble fingers with something almost akin to haughtiness, as the room he knew well materialised around him once more, the green and blue pride colours of Slytherin and Ravenclaw blinding with vibrance. He regarded the moderator Lea Hirsch with indifference; it were the eagles standing against him that were of any true importance. Clarke, Foxe, Tumberton, none of which's names he had heard of much previously, seemingly none of their reputations preceded them. Neither did they seem much older, if at all, and after looking them up and down for a few seconds Archer deemed this duel a potential challenge but the pleasurable sort — no such thing as the slaughterhouse of the last stage. That was no quite correct either, it had just been eyeopening on where the sport was taking him, and what sort of alliances he was striking up.
The nature of duelling, his own competitive tendencies, and nurtured through a yearning for potency, soon the sport became more than just the senseless waving of wands but a symbol of power. To hold the authority to send someone knocked into the ground in his very hands he became no longer that helpless, vulnerable exploited little boy with tear stains down his cheeks. How many spells he could cast; how many targets he could hit; how many dummies he could send sprawling. How many people he could send sprawling. It was beautiful controlled, the many numbers and statistics he knew so well imbued with the blood and sweat shed on these floors he knew. No longer defenceless, soon he sought a thrill in the support, facing off against someone, brows set and scowling, and seeing them flat on the ground mere moments later.
Archer was not well acquainted with Wagner but Pass he trusted, and in full honesty, probably more than anyone in this room, which readily included his own self. Not only was he Archer's captain but the shining lighthouse of sense and reason amongst his mind's turbulent waters. In a lot more ways than he had expected Archer admired Prat, an incentive all the more to take home victory this Monday morning.
Squaring his shoulders and planting sturdy boots solidly on the ground he stared down the opposition with a fiery glint in hazel eyes. Just as the last season's duel, he found himself with little words, especially not of threat or encouragement. Their actions would speak for themselves later. Instead, he simply gave all gathered a curt, cordial greeting, “Morning.”
The whole world ought to be here to see him today.

Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 6
Getting Dragged out of his bed for a duel was among the worst of problems in the life of this young blood. With his less than desirable performance in his first official duel so far. Prat was not feeling the best of himself, much rather, he was afraid of bringing down the other two with him. Making his way to the piste, Prat greeted the trio of Lea, Archer and Elisa with a curt nod. Not many words were to be said for a child so tragically lost in confidence.

Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 6
Dennis was excited for his first duel. He didn’t really know his partners that well but relied on the fact they were a year older than he, hoping they’d be able to guide him through the challenges that awaited him. As he entered the dueling club for stage 3, he could barely contain how much energy was pent up inside. He gave himself a good shake and as he walked to his spot looked out into the spectator area hoping to see both his friends and a very special someone. Indeed he found both Rai and his girlfriend, Meyra Lancaster, wearing his scarf! A surge of energy rushed over him at seeing his two friends. Perhaps he would hear her cheering him on later! The Ravenclaw took his spot alongside his teammates, wand at the ready. He noticed Prat there, and hoped that this duel would be as rousing as their scuffle in the dungeons. However, what happens in the dungeons perhaps ought to stay in the dungeons!

Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 6
It was Edward's first duel. He had played on the Quidditch team before but had to stop when focusing on exams. He still missed these days but decided to move on and try out something different. He got onto the dueling team quickly and was rather surprised about it. He had never dueled anyone before.
So he walked up to the piste with a little bit of fear. Of course he did not want to show it but he wondered whether the snakes could see it anyways. He only knew that their opponents were all second years, but that didn't mean anything.
He gave a nod to his team members, who he also didn't know well yet.
He took out his wand and got ready to fight, hoping it would not be too painful.

Both sides chose their target, singling out Prat and Dennis as the unlucky winners. Dennis would get the short end of the stick as the three Slytherins focused their wands while Prat had only two Flipendos to out maneuver as Cassian seemed off in his own world offering only moral support to his housemates.
Archer and Prat were the first to strike, Elisa taking a little extra time to perfect the casting of her Knockback Jinx. It seemed that that was a first among the duellists as Archer and Prat would both strike with Flipendo as well. Prat, forced to also keep an eye out on the Ravenclaw's attacks, would lose him aim amidst dodging and hit the wall behind Dennis. Archer found a little more success as the spell spiraled towards the eagle, but he managed to quickly duck out of the way. While no success there, the two spells acted as the perfect distraction for Elisa to beam the second Year directly, the spell punching him directly and sending Dennis reeling back before landing on his butt, scrambling to get back up.
The fall would not stop Dennis from releasing his own Knockback Jinx towards Prat, a sharp cast that would just barely graze past the Slytherin with no effect. Much like Elisa, though, Edward used that opportunity to pin the other down and strike him with a Flipendo of his own. It wouldn't send Prat reeling back like Dennis but it would hurt and bruise. Perhaps it was time to move onto new spells or maybe the onslaught of Flipendos would continue throughout the duel- it was a rather simple yet powerful spell after all.

Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 6
@Archer Duncan & @Prat PassElisa steadied herself, slowly heaving air in and out of her lungs. She would have closed her eyes for further relaxation but that was not achievable on a duelling piste with three opponents with their wands pointing at you.
If Elisa had learnt something from her previous duels, it was to think before acting, to gather concentration and surety before hurriedly firing out spells. She watched, calmer than she had ever been for the first round of a duel, as her teammates both fired their Flipendos towards Dennis. Then, as she saw both going astray but leaving the Ravenclaw rather shaken, she took ger own chance and wielded her wand towards the same target.
The delightfully tingly sensation of a perfectly mastered spell vibrated through the young girl's body before the muttered incantations had even left her mouth. She sighed with happy relief, but without loosing any focus; perfect casts tended to miss their target more easily - or so Elisa had gathered from her previous experiences.
She watched, heart racing, as the slender streak of light flashed through to the other side of the duelling piste and knocked fiercely into the poor Dennis like a huge fist. It threw him to the ground rather harshly, and Elisa felt quite sorry for the Ravenclaw - she would not have liked to be on the receiving end of that spell.
Casting a quick glance over the rest of the duel, she concluded that the Ravenclaws had chose the same strategy - attack. They had targeted their spells towards Prat, and again Elisa wondered whether it was Prat's captainship that earned him all the first attacks. Fortunately enough, one of the Ravenclaw third years didn't seem morally quite in the duel yet, and the Slytherin captain had dodged the spell coming from Dennis. The remaining birdy, however, seemed to have followed in Elisa's mindset. His spell came whuzzing through the air and managed to find it's way to Prat. Not as powerful as mine, Elisa thought quietly, a small grin etching onto her lips as she allowed a little pride to flow into her heart.

Ravenclaw vs Slytherin: Match 6
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
@Lea Hirsch @Elisa Wagner @Archer DuncanWith the first spells firing off, it seemed as if the ravens were perhaps a bit too fond of Prat as they directed all their attention towards the boy. Oh what suffering existence was when every duel began and ended with him being the weaker link in all his duels. Adding onto his dismay was his missed flipendo. Before this duel even began Prat had somewhat lost the confidence to meet eyes with his teammates, however dodging a Flipendo began to bring it back. Only for another flipendo to throw him back, raining on his parade. Prat got up and fixed his clothes, this flipendo wasn't strong enough. He had been through this before and the boy had quite some fuel left in his bones to finish what they had begun.
