She giggled at the victory of staggering him, though it didn't last long. As she turned back to Grayson, she felt a cold presence wrap around her wrists, whipping her back around into his face. "Who do you think you are?!" She screamed, her breath suddenly hitched.

Although she was certainly one for games, restrainment was not one to be on her fun list. Her brain racked, she locked her eyes with his, trying to think of a way out of this. The only thing she could come up with was use words against him. It seemed to work before, with her little.. well you know what I mean.

"This is a bit forward isn't it?" She smiled disparagingly, her fingers curling around his. Hoping any ounce of Veela came through right then, could at least get her free from his grasp. Even though she wasn't a full blooded Veela like her mother, being half the race helps just as much. So as she glared him down, she smiled innocently, like she couldn't have possibly done anything wrong.

"Wanna let me go now, babe?" She questioned with a sneer, putting emphasis on the word 'babe'. Hoping she'd at least make him uncomfortable enough to let her go, she waited for a lousy response from him.

Brielle's screaming did little to dissuade Jack to let go. "Who do I think I am? Who do you think you ar-" His retort was cut short, as Bri locked her fingers with his own. The fire inside of him immediately quelled as he caught sight of Bri's face. An odd thought crossed his mind- Y'know, she is kinda cute...No- Jack shook his head, and had to blink several times.

At the girl's prompting, Jack's grip loosened and his face flushed red around his cheeks. To say that being angry yet flustered is an odd feeling would be an understatement. It was difficult for him to pull his eyes away from hers. Suddenly he regained his wits, and quickly pulled his hands away from hers. The stinging on his face had nearly subsided, but he could tell that he would probably have a handprint on his face for the next while"Do you make a habit of slapping people, or am I just one of the lucky ones." He snapped sarcastically. There was still heat in his voice, but much less than there was before. That was seriously all he could think to say. Few things could bring Jack to a loss of words, but this was one of those things.

Upon release, she laughed at her victory and cocked her head at him. "I think I'm a pretty girl that you bothered to mess with." She retorted, grinning at the look in his eyes. She could tell her Veela characteristics worked, with the way he just seemed to be staring at her. It caused her to quirk a sly smile, acting like she hadn't noticed.

His face was blood red, his knuckles white from holding her so tightly. Sure, there were a few red marks around her wrists, but nothing too severe. As she glanced back down to her perfectly manicured hand, her razor sharp acrylic nails held in front of her, she cut back to him, her smile vanished upon thin air.

"Consider yourself lucky, most don't even get touched by me." She quipped, tucking a strand of stray hair behind her ear. She'd be lying is she said this boy was unattractive, because he most defiantly was. Though, did that change her viewpoint of him?

No, not at all.

So with a smug look, she sat on the table closest to them and waited for his response. It'd probably be just as lame as the last one, but she was still interested. Mostly because of the fact she liked winning, and she had obviously won this battle.

A scowl forms on his face. He opened his mouth to let out another snarky reply, but he couldn't find the right words to say. His jaw clenched creating a severe look on his face. He hated how flustered he felt."Don't flatter yourself. I would have much preferred it if you had just shut your mouth and kept your hands to yourself." Even as he spoke, he could feel himself stumbling over his words. His eyes flicked over to his book that was now resting on the table. Jack sighed heavily and ran a hand through his mess of hair.

Something about this girl, just irked him. He couldn't even put a finger on it. He continued to glare as she sat on the table, "Honestly, this isn't even worth it to continue this." He sneered. With harsh movements, he swiped the book into his hands.

Turning his back to the girl, he stormed back to his table. As he walked, Jack glanced back over his shoulder once or twice to look at Brielle. In a huff, he put himself back in his chair and pulled the book open to the page he had left it on. He has never felt so defeated before in his life. It was terrible.

"Your facial expressions say other wise, lover boy." She teased, glancing behind her expecting to see Grayson by her side. Though.. he wasn't Part of her soul fell, realizing how awfully rude she had been to him when he tried to help.

All he was doing was trying to help.. She screamed in her head, bringing a hand to her face in regret. Though, realizing where she was, and what situation she had been in, her face fixed itself into a sneer once more, following Jack back to his table.

She reached for the book while still in his hands, their fingertips brushing against one another's for a split second. Shaking her head, she smiled in his face and cocked her head. "Why not? It's pretty fun if you ask me." She said, a small giggle following after. She liked this little game, especially if she remained the victor. Call her pretentious, but this was who she was. A girl full of smart remarks and a pretty face to go along with it.

Brielle wasn't always like this. In fact, she is actually very sweet. She had plenty of friends, people that obviously liked her, so what had gotten into her today? She didn't know..

Perhaps she is starting her mean streak, like how a 12 year old girl develops an attitude towards her parents. It was only a matter of time.

Normally, Jack would have done something extreme. He hated losing a fight. What she had said made his face turn bright pink, again! Why does what Brielle says affect him so much?

An eyebrow popped up, as he noticed Bri's shift in expressions. However, surprisingly he doesn't say anything. Jack fidgets slightly. He habitually pops his knuckles starting at his index finger and going down his hand with his thumb to release some tension. His flick back and forth from his book and Brielle.

It made him jump slightly, as his fingers brushed against Brielle's. "Fun?" He snorts, "Fun isn't when people decide to slap somebody across the face. I don't know if you know this, but getting slapped doesn't feel too good." Even though there was heat in his voice, he couldn't help but let the right side of his lips slightly quirk upwards. This whole interaction, crazy as it is, was kind of fun. For some weird reason, he enjoyed fighting with this girl. I must be stupid or crazy... he thought to himself. Jack had an odd feeling that the conversation was turning in a direction. What direction was it going towards? The boy had absolutely no clue.

She watched him jump, causing her to laugh loudly. God, what was up with this boy? As she grinned, she let go of the book, flicking him in the head. "Mm, yet you still smirk as this continues on? I don't know if I should tell you this, but you're a terrible liar, mate." She replied, putting up her hands innocently.

She had no clue behind this little game, though she thought to maybe die it down. It just had to be bloody annoying to hear her yap like this, even she agreed that was true. She knew she needed to calm herself down, or at least stop being so bold. Though, what would she be without her bold statements? It was what made her, it's what was special about her. How could she possibly just stop?

So, coming to a compromise, she decided to stop being so snarky, yet she would still continue talking to him. Seemed like a win-win to her, so with that, she took a seat next to him and kept her smile that hadn't faltered once.

"Perhaps I could give you a little lesson on lying right now.." She joked sarcastically. It was at least something to lighten the mood.

Jack's smirk vanished as soon as Brielle called him out. She was right, though. He was atrociously bad at lying. The boy always wore his heart on his sleeve. That point was made clear firstly by his obvious annoyance at his 'History of Magic', then by the rather obnoxiously loud outburst that followed. Who would have guessed that he wasn't the best at concealing his thoughts and emotions? Yet, did the knowledge of his shortcomings ever stop him from trying. The answer is no. A resounding no.

Guarded curiosity crossed his face as he watched the Slytherin girl take a seat directly next to him at his table. Jack had to consciously think about looking away from the girl, in fear that he would be caught staring. "A lesson in lying? I doubt that you could actually be able to teach me anything, even if I accepted your offer." He scoffed. The boy leaned forward onto the table. Propping his elbow against the tabletop, Jack rested his head on his open palm. Looking at his new table companion, Jack made direct eye contact. Hopefully, he could bring his confidence back to the forefront. It was rather embarrassing how much of a rise she had been able to get out of him. "But I will accept your offer. Let's see if I can learn something."

holy shit i completely forgot abt this thread im so sorry !!
interacting with @Jack Warren
Hmph. He wants to play mister tough guy? Brielle raised one perfect eyebrow and scoffed, rolling her eyes at how confident he was acting. "Alright, so if I can't possibly teach you anything, perhaps I could just give you some advice. Number one; don't ever think you can one-up me." She said, a flash of perfect white teeth appearing.

Brielle then began to wonder who this boy was. A Hufflepuff, that was obvious; but who was he really? What was different about him? What made him.. special? Her curiosity consumed her, leaving her to blurt out obnoxiously. "Who are you, anyway? Your name- I mean." She inquired, hoping he didn't think she was weird. Actually, she couldn't care less what he thought of her. After all, he was just as annoying as herself.

As her fingers tapped the wooden desk, she glanced back up at him and grinned. This whole situation and conversation was so stupid, literally just two twelve year olds bickering back and fourth. Childish, that's all she could say about it. A repetitive, ridiculous name game that will never end. Did she think it was fun though?

Of course she did, so there was no reason to stop now.

Occ; It's all good! We all forget things (low key forgot about it too)
Advise. Jack didn't ask for advice, nor did he want any. He couldn't help but roll his eyes at the comment. The boy ran a hand through his mess of dark hair and sighed. It was obvious that he was trying to make the point that he could care less about her 'advice'. It wasn't even good advice! In his mind, Brielle was just challenging him to try to one-up her, and he would absolutely try to do so. As she talked, he idly bit the inside of his cheek. There was not not much reason to the action, other than the force of habit.

The conversation took a turn away from mindless insult slinging, which Jack was somewhat relieved about. He was losing the insult battle pretty badly, not that he would admit it. Finally, Jack spoke up when Brielle asked 'who are you?'. "Jack Warren. First-year, and annoyingly charming. What else is there to know?" He replied petulantly. Jack knew that he was overly confident at times, but it never stopped him before. The soft sound of tapping could be heard as he tapped his foot under the wooden table the two were sitting at, along with the soft rustle of his robes as the boy crossed his arms against his chest. It would be a flat out lie if he said that this girl didn't intrigue him. Not many people were willing to fire back against his insults so wholeheartedly. He kind of liked that this girl had the look of fire in her eyes. "And who might you be, Miss 'I cannot be one-up'd'? Your name, I mean." He said in a mocking tone of voice. Jack's facial expression was one of begrudging enjoyment masked by utter annoyance.
