Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball
She was free. Eris's eyes took in air for the first time in what had seemed like hours, scanning the field. Damn. She had missed a lot. Looking around at the game that had somehow switched from dodgeball to complete and utter spell chaos, Eris scanned to see who was out. Noting that none of her close friends were out of the match, Eris was able to relax.
However, what with the chaos that was going on, it meant no more playing favourites towards her Ravenclaw buddies. It was time to destroy some eagles. Mind instantly going on a tangent, Eris frowned and zoned out for a moment. Apparently the ravenclaw mascot was actually an eagle? Like come on? Rowanna Ravenclaw was supposed to be smart! But, apparently had named her house ravenclaw and still had an eagle as a mascot? What an idiot. But, speaking of idiots; it seemed the ravenclaws weren't idiots like Rowanna. RIght! Time to focus.
They were casting the smokescreen charm or had already cast it, which was making it virtually impossible to throw balls or cast any spells. Rubbing at her eyes, the sudden sunlight a stark contrast to having been blindfolded for quite a long time, Eris looked at the ravenclaw side and caught sight of someone making the familiar circular movement of the smokescreen charm. She also regonized the blonde hair of Dymph, but had already vowed to herself that it was time to stop going easy on friends.
If this landed... Eris sighed. Sorry Dymph. Winning the game came before anything else. And besides, everything was in good friend! Grinning, Eris made the annoyingly weird movement with her wand, shouting the incantation that would hopefully help her team.
Expelliarmus!"

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball

It was a little hard to pick up on what the boy Kaegen was saying. She had to struggle to tune everything else out, and focus on him- which may or may not have been a mistake. She squinted in a desperate attempt to read his lips. "I see. Fair enough. Schrödinger is doing quite well, thank you for asking." She then turned towards where the spectators were located. "See? He is over there...sssomewhere-" Schrödinger appeared to be spending some time with a boy- or girl, the person (Piérre Marchonné) was too far away to tell. She didn't recognize the person.
Seeing her little blob of a cat spending time with someone else made her slightly jealous. Did he think that she was a joke? Did she not care for him enough? "Oh. He's with sssome kid it looks like. I don't know that kid." She clenched her jaw slightly, and turned her attention back to Kaegen. "Maybe you can come play with him later." As soon as she had made her offer, she felt herself get hit with something. A ball? No. "Awe man." She let out an exasperated sigh. It was a spell. And judging by the weirdly graceful Foxtrot she had started doing; she had been hit with a Tarantallegra. No worries this was fixable. "Talk later, yesss? Maybe?"
And with that, she shot Kaegen a two finger salute; while watching some of the Ravenclaw side get engulfed in smoke due to a previously cast Fumos. She danced her way through some of her team mates. They were one short (Kyle DeRook Press F to pay respects) she noticed. She did some more observing, and took note of some of the Ravenclaw kids that had started to move. One of them was probably the kid who had hit her, and if she had to guess, it was probably the boy (Neculai Lazar)- considering the girl (Lavinia Cloven) looked rather scared, and appeared to have no clue what was going on. She shot the boy a dirty look. So she pointed her wand at herself, to cast a quick counter-spell. "Finite Incantatem." You better pray that this counter-spell fails.

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball
Cecily cursed as he ball flew wide, not to mention the fact that they were now down two players. Although, she noticed, Gryffindor was also down one. That plunge into the Great Lake that the boy took did not look like a fun time-- Cecily might try harder to avoid the balls just so that she could avoid the lake. She had been in there a couple times before anyway; it was cold and wet, and it still would be cold and wet this time. Nothing new, she wouldn't be heartbroken if she didn't get a swim today.
But the game continued to move forward, and time to stop playing nice. The Ravenclaws needed to get their acts together, and get some of those lions out of the game! To be fair, it was going to be a little difficult, as a cloud of smoke drifted to the side of the eagles and obstructed their view. Cecily darted out of the way just in time, although four or five of her fellow Ravens weren't quite as lucky. Oh well-- Cecily would just have to try twice as hard until the smoke dissipated and her team was at full force again.
Sprinting towards the ball that had just flown over Phaedra's head [Ball 2], Cecily snatched it from the ground and turned to pick a target. Scanning the faces-- not that it mattered, they were all the enemy at this point-- her eyes alighted on the same boy she had just missed. Revenge wasn't perhaps the right word for this situation, but it was what came to the girl's mind anyway. She was going to get this boy out of the game if it was the last thing she did.ACTION: throw [Ball 2] at Alan Vanes.

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball
It looked like Phaedra didn't need any protecting, after all -- the ball that Adam had tried to shield her from fell short of its target, leaving him standing there looking rather like a fool. Oh, well. It was the thought that counted, wasn't it? He wanted to stay and chat with her a minute, but didn't want to make her lose focus in the middle of such an intense game. So, with a quick hello and a wave goodbye, he hurried away down Ravenclaw's side of the field to make his next move.
It really was an intense game, growing even more so by the minute. Now that people were starting to get out, even more magic was being revealed. One of the Gryffindor boys, nailed right in the chest, was swallowed by the ground he was standing on as it broke apart underneath him and dropped him right into the lake. Another boy on Adam's team went down too, and so did poor Ruthie from Quidditch. Adam hoped that the water wasn't too cold, but refreshing rather, after all of the running around up above the surface. No matter the temperature, though, he really didn't want to end up down there. Now that he knew the consequences, it was maybe time to up his game.
Now was as good a time as any; the full force of last round's spells was slamming in, and nearly half of his team disappeared in clouds of smoke. He could see well enough through the haze, but he doubted that the rest of the students could. It looked like he was their sharpshooter this round by default. He narrowed his eyes and swept the near side of the field for an unclaimed ball, which seemed like the safer bet over spells. Magic upon magic tended to complicate things, and this was just a game, after all.
A sudden movement in the corner of his eye caught his attention, and Adam turned quickly to see a ball roll out of the field of smoke. It had come from right around where he'd last seen Ruthie: the murder weapon. Adam didn't know the other girl all that well, of course, but she seemed plenty nice at practice, and you could still avenge a stranger. Dashing to pick up the ball, he scooped it less-than-gracefully off the ground mid-stride and cast his gaze across the boundary line to pick out a target.
There was considerably less smoke over on Gryffindor's side of things, but still a good amount of chaos. Ravenclaw had gotten a few good spells off that would take the lions a minute or two to disentangle themselves from. One of their players was still up and running, however, and apparently feeling good enough to send a taunt flying across the field with his ball. Max. Adam didn't know what he'd said or who he was aiming at, but the sound of his voice had been enough to identify him.
Adam smiled as he turned towards enemy lines, pulling his arm back and aiming as best as he could. It was so easy to get lost in this game -- he hadn't felt so energetic in so long! He wished the professors would do more like this. Maybe if Ravenclaw secured a win, Professor Ryker would be willing to let them defend their title another day. He had to remind himself to focus once more, lowering his arm so that he could rebuild the momentum he'd lost while daydreaming. With Max in mind, Adam fired the ball across the field and crossed his fingers for luck.

Adrian watched as the ball soared across the field hitting the Ravenclaw girl right in the chest. Yes! She hit her! But there wasn’t much time to celebrate as she got hit by the dancing feet charm cast by the first year Raven. Her widened as her feet began to dance like no tomorrow. She cursed her inability to dodge such a simple spell, and vowed to do better. No use crying over spilt milk[/i ].
She scanned the field, she saw balls being thrown and spells being cast. Then she saw her fellow Gryffindor first year, Maggie throwing a ball at the Raven that had tried to hit her but missed. Making up her mind, she whipped out her wand and pointed at the boy. “Steleus.”

Kaegen nodded at the weird girl-creature briefly. Yes, they might talk later. If nothing else because he wanted to play with her cat some more. But for now? For now he just stood, still as stone, as he saw one of the Gryffindors throw a ball at him. That was fine, he was expecting to eventually get hit. But from whom? From the death witches? Fangs began to slice through gums, eyes began to darken in swirling clouds of amorphous black. But no, no he was not going to lose it here, not now.
He knew that Gryffindor, he knew him because of his acquaintance with Eris Fawley. In fact, it was more than just acquaintance. They were friends, they had been together for a rather long period of time. That boy was one of the few people that Kaegen would have labelled human. And now look, now look at what that boy had proved to be. The little ravenclaw's hands clenched tight, as the surroundings almost seemed to darken. It may have been a trick of the light, a passing cloud maybe, but it seemed to uncannily emanate from the lad.
Kaegen was going to remember this, he was going to remember that boy, that face. A playful challenge from monsters would not go unanswered. Kaegen had stopped hunting these beasts months ago, but now it seemed as though he just might have to retake the role of hunter. He would call the boy who had thrown the ball mark. For he had just been marked by Kaegen Deathmote, Fens-born Sca- well, no. Not that anymore.

Neculai saw how his spell had hit his target right in the middle of her body causing her to gracefully dance a foxtrot. The young Ravenclaw had been in shock. I did this?, he thought to himself. I DID THAT!, Neculai exclaimed to himself forgetting all about his shy nature in the proces. He felt his confidence rising as he was literally beaming with pride. He hadn't felt this feeling of sence and belonging before. Obviously he had felt connected with his house and what it represented. He was after all a smart cookie as others would say, but he hadn't felt he really belonged with his housemembers. Today had proven he did.
Alright, Neculai, time to get back in the game. When he wanted to run around and see how he could help his team a fumos erupted out of nowhere! His eye caught ball nr. 3. Neculai felt obliged to take it upon him to get the ball. When he tried to sprint towards it before anyone could snatch it away from him he slipped. He felt hard to the ground as he had just tripped over his own robes. Classic, me..., he thought to himself. Regaining his bearings he got up and tried another time to sprint. This time making sure his robes wouldn't be his downfall. When he finally reached his target he took the ball in his hands. Neculai took a moment to scan the battlefield with his bloodred eyes. He didn't seem anyone he truely wanted to hit. There! He saw a Gryffindor prefect that was in the same year as him draw her wand at him. He took aim and as he threw the ball with all his might he yelled at her: DON'T GIVE ME DETENTION, PLEASE!

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball
Janus had just the time to see his ball hit the snarling Gryffindor in the chest before a flock of multicolour bubbles wrapped around him. He almost didn't notice them at first with all the excitement he felt at his first hit; the distorted shapes dancing around him couldn't hide the figure of his victim falling through a hole in the pitch and the splashing sound that followed. So that was the way they were going to leave the game; he guessed he couldn't expect anything at Hogwarts to be done ordinarily. Turning his head to look at his surroundings he finally became annoyed at the presence of the bubbles, trying to swat at them and pop them without success. All he could see were distorted people with rainbow linings, and his movements were slightly impeded by that.
As he finally resigned to the bubbles' presence he heard two more shouts and splashes, but this time they were coming from his own side of the pitch. They were outnumbered now, and that meant they needed to take some Gryffindors down. However determined he was to go for the ball-like shape he'd seen through the bubbles though, the smoke reached him first. When the two Lions had blindly cast "Fumos" he hadn't thought much of it as it had looked like it had missed its targets; now though the smoke came crawling back towards the Ravens from their corners of the pitch, and Janus couldn't see anything beyond that wall of grey. Widening his eyes, he started walking around with his arms outstretched looking for a light, an exit out of the smoke.

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball
@Janus Lumley was lost in the smoke, and the bubbles clinging to him would surely not help him in this situation. Sadly, while he saw nothing but grey, others did not have the same problem seeing the dark black shadow of @Janus Lumley aimlessly walking in the smoke especially now that it was slowly lifting. @Adrian Calhoun was one such person, spotting the Ravenclaw boy in the fog, she fired a well practiced hex at the boy. But her aim was less than true and @Janus Lumley would see the streaks of light pass by his face as the sneezing hex shot past him in the fog.
@Maggie Parker was another one taking advantage of poor @Janus Lumleys misfortune. Revenge seemed to be what was on her mind as she threw a ball[Ball 4] at the shadow in the fog. @Janus Lumley was not as lucky as earlier, he had no time to dodge as the ball suddenly appeared through the fog and hit him square in the forehead. The glass underneath his feet would give out a sound as if @Janus Lumley was standing on thin ice, then it was quiet, but before the Ravenclaw boy would be able to take another breath the glass under his feet shattered into a thousand pieces. And the boy was doused in the tempered water of the lake before being pulled up by Professor Pendrast. When the fog would eventually dissipate, no sign of @Janus Lumley would be seen, the glass was as thick as ever and all that was there was a single dodgeball[Ball 4].
@Cecily Quinn seemed to have made up her mind, there was only one boy for her. That might be cause for celebration at most times, but this time it meant poor @Alan Vanes was a walking target. Luckily for him though, the dark menacing feeling that seemed to envelop the field took its toll on @Cecily Quinn and the ball she threw did not land anywhere near the boy she was eyeing. @Alan Vanes might very well even have never noticed he was aimed for at all and the ball[Ball 2] landed on the Gryffindor side with a lazy thud.
@Alan Vanes had plans of his own. He would rush towards a ball[Ball 6] and having no competition to picking it up he got hold of it easily. In the little time he had he would pick out a target, his gaze fell on the black shadow of an unsuspecting @Dymphna Teague that was trying to fight her way through the smoke that was enveloping her.
@Dymphna Teague would soon give up her futile attempt at escaping the fog, and would instead casts fumos herself. And she had no problem doing so, sadly the winds did not want to play along as the smoke would become visibly thicker around herself. She was not the only one the smoke would reach. @Maggie Parker and @Victoria McGregor on the Gryffindor side would see a grey smokescreen ooze out of the smoke that was already covering some of the Ravenclaw field, and it only took a second before all they would see was grey. The smoke would also claim another victim from the Ravenclaw side, covering the non-suspecting @Arc Perscivious with its smoke.
@Alan Vanes would throw his ball at @Dymphna Teague, but the Ravenclaw girl had some luck on her side and steps away in time for the ball to miss its intended target. The ball[Ball 6] lands on the Ravenclaw side.
@Eris Fawley would catch sight of a streak of @Dymphna Teague’s blond hair as the Ravenclaw was enveloped in the smoke. Following the dark shadow of her friend @Eris Fawley was ready to clip some wings. She aimed her spell and shot a disarming charm towards her poor friend?. But her aim was off, rather far off, all because of a rather peculiar aura emanating from the back of the Ravenclaw field. The spell would go high, not anywhere near its intended target.
@Katrina Walker was now learning why one should never lose their wand. She would be running into the crowd, hunting after her elusive piece of magic wood. It was so close, she almost got a hold of it, before a Gryffindor foot kicked it further into the crowd of Gryffindors doing their best to bring home the victory.
@Euphrasia Millie would crawl on all four through the playing field. Maybe she would meet her fellow crawler @Katrina Walker. But unlike @Katrina Walker, @Euphrasia Millie was able to pick up her wand before it got lost in the crowd.
@Xailah Alptraum was dancing a rather flawless foxtrot, sadly no one seemed to be paying much attention, and the Gryffindor girl cast Finite on herself before enthralling anyone with the skillful movements of her dance.
In the chaos of the fumos spells, two students had locked onto each others shadows in the thicket of the fog. One with a wand, and one ball[Ball 3] in hand. @Griseldis Edelhardt shouted out the incantation and the spell and flung it towards its intended target. At the same time @Neculai Lazar flung his ball[Ball 3] at the shadow of the Gryffindor girl. A split second after the ball[Ball 3] had left the boys hand, a ball seemed to be back in its grasp. No, not one ball, balls started to appear all over his hand, and arm, and up toward his face. Clutching to him and impairing his vision.
@Griseldis Edelhardt would see her spell tear through the fog, going straight for the dark shadow of the Ravenclaw she was targeting. But something else would start to appear in her vision. It was hard to make out what it was until it was too late. The smoke giving way to the red leather of a ball, a ball[Ball 3] heading straight for her. The ball hit @Griseldis Edelhardt in her chest. A crack could be heard under her right foot, then one under the left, then another, and another. Then the shattering sound of breaking ice could be heard as the glass gave way. @Griseldis Edelhardt would feel herself falling before she was enveloped in the water of the lake. Professor Pendrast was quickly there to pull her up into the boat.
@Kaegen Deathmote appeared to be more interested in conversation than playing. Why play when one could make friends? Unfortunately for @Kaegen Deathmote though, @Max Avery did not come here to make friends. Like any gentleman would, @Max Avery made a declaration, shouting out his intention to his intended target. One does not stab someone in the back, and one does not simply throw a ball without getting the attention of one’s intended target first. @Max Avery would proceed to lob his ball towards @Kaegen Deathmote. It was close, very close. The ball[Ball 5] would barely hit @Kaegen Deathmote as it landed beside the Ravenclaw boy. Sadly for Kaegen, barely hitting was still hitting. The glass would give way under the boy’s feet with the sound of shattered glass as @Kaegen Deathmote fell into the lake below. It would feel like a weight was lifted from the field, the atmosphere suddenly getting lighter. The hole was already mended, all that remained behind being a Ball[Ball 5] that was lying where the Ravenclaw boy had stood moments before. @Kaegen Deathmote would be fished up from the lake by Professor Pendrast as well before being taken to shore.
@Adam Harringtom had found his murder weapon, but it was not an investigation he needed it for. No, it was to continue the slaughter. He would scope out the Gryffindor side, looking for the strong lions. Maybe he wanted something properly spectacular to mount on his wall. His gaze soon fell on @Max Avery. And with a graceful movement @Adam Harringtom threw the ball[ball 1] at his target. But a lion is not easy prey. And @Max Avery had not grown fat from his last kill, and the Gryffindor lion managed to skillfully dodge the ball[Ball 1] that instead hit the glass floor on the Gryffindor side with a thud.

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball
Katrina spied her wand beside one of the dodge-balls. She skillfully swiped the dodgeball and threw it. She threw the dodge-ball [ball 1] as hard as she possibly could at the other side at Adam Harringtom, a Ravenclaw she only knew the name of.
The Gryffindor didn't bother looking if it struck home. As she looked for her wand she realized it was missing yet again. She was tired and didn't know what to do next. There was so much going on and she watched as a few people where hit by the dodge-ball and out of the game. She searched for her wand and spotted it at the other side again.
She ran after her wand wondering what her next move would be. She could cast another "Fumos", or maybe an "Expelliarmus" at the other side. The girl sidestepped a spell at the last second and tried to catch her breath. She stood ready to win this game at any cost.
Action: throw Ball 1 at Adam Harringtom
