Astrid had explored around. In all honesty, she was almost always looking for some place to run around and play in. She was still the very definition of a kid. Impatient, curious, excited... The grounds at Hogwarts were a great place to get that lively energy out. That, and running up the moving stairs, which had annoyed the paintings and other classmates before she finally decided that they had become too crowded and that others didn't appreciate her insistent muttering, telling the stairs to come quicker.

But that had been yesterday. Today, she had woken up and raced out of the dorm room, quickly changing into a t-shirt and legging-like jeans. When she went outside, she admired the sunrise a little while before wandering around the campus. She sat at the Great Lake for a few minutes before walking over to the edge of the Forest. Hearing someone racing around, Astrid walked forward to find who- or what- was making that noise.

The voice that called out sounded familiar, but she wasn't sure where she had heard it. Well, she would find out soon enough.

"I don't have bad intentions! At least, I don't think I do. So, hello!" Astrid laughed, then stepped out, finding Iris.

"Oh hey! Iris, right? I'm not particularly good with names, so just checking, but hello!" Astrid smiled, waving.

Iris hopped from the boulder onto the ground, finding Astrid almost immediately. "Ya, it's Iris. you are Astrid right?" She smiled, something about early morning energized her.

"I love it here. Just everything is nice, even the chilling breeze." Iris paused enjoying the surroundings.

"I am really excited about this whole exchange program thing. I mean, the choice of students invited was a little iffy. Well, not all of us- just some are a little... mean. Besides that, I just can't wait." Iris knew she was rattling on, but she couldn't keep in her excitement. Out of all of the students she had met so far since coming here, Astrid was the nicest person she had met.

Iris hopped from food to foot, "I didn't think anyone would be awake so early. I am a morning person, but today I just have so much pent up energy!" Iris stopped hopping waiting for Astrid to respond. She realized how immature she was acting and chastised herself inwardly.

Iris climbed back onto the boulder and indicated for Astrid to join her. The sun was just above the trees and reflected beautifully off the lake. She sighed with contentment, if only she could see this every day.

Astrid nodded, as Astrid was indeed her name.

"Yeah, it is quite nice. I should probably wake up early more often. The sky is so beautiful.." Astrid glanced up, smiling at the bursts of color that flooded the sky. It seemed Iris also had an interest with forests. That made sense. Why, Astrid was a little unsure, but Iris seemed the type to truly enjoy nature. Astrid, well, she enjoyed the setting it gave, but she preferred the excitement within the settings. The battles, the running away from enemies. She would probably be one to have her head stuffed in books... If she ever felt like reading.

"The first group, right? They seemed to have their pack set in stone. A little unfortunate. New arrivals add new surprises. I'm sure these few months will be quite exciting." Astrid smiled, knowing full well that her words portrayed she wasn't nearly as excited as Iris. She smiled at Iris's excitement, trying to make sure the cool breeze wouldn't close her eyes, ensuring sleep for another hour or so. Astrid smiled sly, before taking a long, deep breath...

"You certainly do! I'm sorry if I'm being rude, but it seems your excitement is contagious. Or maybe it's the sky's energy. The colors just dripping their excitement of a new day. Who would know? Certainly not I." Astrid smiled broadly, twirling around.

She followed Iris onto the boulder, propping herself up with her arms, so that she could look to the sky. The lake made the scene perfect, she realized, and noticed that Iris seemed to think the same thing... (based off of her looking at the lake, then back at the scenery)
