Afternoon Slot
Alyssea was still feeling incredibly sore from being beat around the bush just yesterday at racing, so she was grateful they put her down to moderate an afternoon duel. The sleep-in she managed to get was so good. Now, she was hoping this duel would wrap up quickly so she could lie in bed again before classes started again for the week. Physical recovery and all that.
She stepped towards her spot on the piste and cleared her throat. "Welcome back for Stage III of this year's Duelling Championship, our last and final stage before the Championship Cup and graduation!" The reminder of graduation brought about some mixed reactions. Alyssea couldn't really believe it, either. "Coincidentally, this is also the last match of this stage, so it's going to get heated up in here."
She turned to one side where all the blue-robed duellists stood. "From the Ravenclaw team, we have Jessamine Hemlock, Mylo Atkins, and Yougle Crenshaw."
Then, she turned to the other side where all the red-robed duellists stood. "And from the Gryffindor team, we have Ula Takahashi, Edwin Westbridge, and Meiyu Xiang. Round of applause for all of our duellists!"
Alyssea clapped as everyone stepped forward. She gave them a minute to compose themselves, plan out their strategy, and everything else that needed to be debriefed before the chaos. No doubt, the anxiety would catch some people out.
"Now, Gryffindor's in the lead for this year's Championship Cup, so this match could very well make or break their win. Good luck, everyone! Wands at the ready!"

Interacting with @Yougle Crenshaw | @Jessamine Hemlock Date - 04/05/25 WC 133/50 Color Legend - Mylo | Thoughts The last duel of the year, Mylo truly hoped that this one would go better than the others they had had but he also knew that losing would just help them learn more and give them some needed practice.
Finding themselves slightly less nervous each time he went up to duel Mylo realised that he wasn't just starting to see this as practice and a way to get better anymore, he was also starting to enjoy it more than he thought they would.
Turning towards their teammates before the match actually started. "Good luck guys, we've got this." Holding up their wand he focussed himself, knowing that every slight lapse could mean that a spell wouldn't go off the way they wanted it to or that they'd miss a spell flying their way.

Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor: Match 7
Following the success of their first duel, the final round would only present itself as a burden, given the reign Gryffindor house has going for them, for once. Yet this time, as Meiyu slowly approached the piste, her expression stoic appearing uninterested, the faces on the opposing side were all unfamiliar. The nerves from her first match weren't present this round, the high from the win lingering despite the next round being months later. Still, the thought of succeeding once more had only boosted her ego.
With her wand at the ready and a mutter of, "Let's kill them.", audible to her familiar reigning teammates, she was ready to aid the wretched house of Gryffindor to another victory. Even if it meant doing so under the eyes of the pretty girl moderating their match.

Despite a victory in his first duel, it hadn't been completely smooth sailing, having faced a brief stint where his spells had gone seemingly anywhere but at his intended target and so some nerves lingered within the Gryffindor as he approached the piste. Though, his expression did not mirror these nerves, his face impassive as he stepped into line with his teammates.
Edwin took in a deep breath, clearing his mind of any thoughts but the immediate task at hand . After a moments pause, he fixed his gaze ahead onto the opponents, raising his wand - ready.

Ula was tired.
Not physically—she'd had plenty of rest since their last duel with the Air Nomads (and she sincerely hoped at least one of them was still in therapy). But emotionally? Spiritually? Drained. The final match of the season loomed, and the end-of-year homework pile wasn't doing her any favors. She stepped onto the piste with the same enthusiasm she brought to a group project she didn't ask to be in but would absolutely carry—out of spite, if nothing else.
She twirled her wand between her fingers as she began scanning the new Ravenclaw lineup. Unfamiliar. Or maybe not. She might have seen one of them cry during Herbology. Hard to tell. All Ravenclaws blurred together after a while—like a stack of overdue essays.
Cracking her neck with a satisfying pop, Ula adjusted her grip on her wand and exhaled slowly through her nose.

Afternoon Slot
Alyssea let off a burst of red sparks as she said, "Start!"
Without a moment to breathe, bright lights of spells fired across the piste. To be honest, they weren't very interesting opening spells, as one would expect at this level of the sport, but they were still very flashy. If only that green fire hit.
Unfortunately for Ravenclaw, it only kept going downhill from there.
"WOAH!" Alyssea gasped. In just a few seconds, they lost a player to the ground and another had been blindfolded. She winced. Yikes. That was going to be tough to come back from. Meanwhile, Gryffindor came out of the scuffle mostly unscathed; the only casualty being a girl suddenly doing the boogie woogie (you know, the quick side-to-side steps and the occasional spin).
Alyssea gave a subtle nod and quiet clap. "What an opening from both teams. Ravenclaw is certainly in a tight spot with the way they're going..."
Oh, did she forget to mention the one Ravenclaw duellist that had yet to move since the beginning of the duel? Well, the youngest of the team — Yougle — had completely frozen. From what? Stage fright could be the answer, or a sudden change of mind. Whatever it was, for the sake of their team, they had to get back to the present or else Ravenclaw might not recover from the first round.

Ravenclaw vs. Gryffindor: Match 7
Interacting with @Yougle Crenshaw | @Jessamine Hemlock Date - 04/05/25 WC 80/50 Color Legend - Mylo | Thoughts Well this wasn't good. Jessamine had ended up blindfolded, which was a horrible experience but one she could hopefully remove quickly. Mylo themselves had been hit with a really powerful flipendo, which even knocked them to the ground. And Yougle had seemingly frozen in place, not having been able to get a spell out of her wand.
Taking a deep breath Mylo knew that this wasn't going to be an easy battle and started to prepare themselves for the worst.

First year Ravenclaws finding themselves rooted to the spot for some unknown reason was almost becoming a trend, it had, after all, happened numerous times in Edwin's last duel. Though, he didn't spare much more than a passing thought to that matter, ensuring that he kept his focus solely on the task at hand - the duel.
After he had flicked his wand, successfully blindfolding one of the Ravenclaws, he retightened his grasp on his wand, his gaze flicking between the three Ravenclaws.
