Matano Warcloud
husband · 12.30.2004 · 6’2” · pure-blood
faceclaim ◆ Luke Pasqualino
Born in Sun Wolf Village. A mix of Spanish, Italian, and Native American ancestry. The youngest of five siblings, as well as a fraternal triplet, Matano has always had the title of "runt" thrown at him by his four competing older brothers. Both of his parents served as ambassadors to the Wind River Indian Reservation, often taking Matano with them, giving him a special, cultured upbringing among the No-Majs of the reservation. He received both a magical and No-Maj education at the Village and the rez, and recalls fondly enjoying basketball and skateboarding with the No-Maj schoolmates he grew up with.
He and Jayden were no complete strangers, having seen and interacted with each other briefly on many occasions since they were children. It wasn't until Jayden became an Animagus and joined Matano's pack, thrust into the same social spheres together, that feelings started to blossom between the two. Neither one realized it then, that the other was crushing on them, during the summer of awkward tension that slowly built up their friendship. Both of them were shy and cautious in their approach towards a seriously committed relationship, playing hot and cold to test each other out, unfolding layers bit by bit. Despite his attempts to appear aloof and indifferent, Matano found himself unable to go a single day without "bothering" Jayden, confiding something vulnerable in her and letting her bring out the carefree child in him.
Like Jayden, he is proficient in nonverbal and wandless magic. His Animagus form is a sooty black-brown Gray Wolf with dark yellow eyes.

wand
“Nine and a half inches, hazel wood and Thunderbird tail feather. Slightly bendy, very well balanced, perfect for wizards with hidden talents.” A humble beginners' wand that got Jayden through most her years at Ilvermorny, but nothing extraordinarily special or bonding that enticed her to keep it for long, once she became proficient in wandless spellcasting. She then handed it down to her little brother, Forrest, in preparation for his first year at Ilvermorny.
