"lost in hogwarts"
-
where the chaos squad gets lost in the sprawling castle of hogwarts and run into some students on the way. set immediately after their arrival, the five illvermorny students are looking for some grub- but have no clue where they're headed.
"Jesus Christ I'm hungry." Owen groaned, a pained expression painted onto his features as the five kids wandered around the expansive stone castle. Since Don had mentioned his own hunger earlier, Owen couldn't stop thinking about food.

His stomach growled loudly as they walked, and Owen and his friends were getting a number of strange looks from passing students. He didn't blame them- for one, they were strangers to these guys, and secondly, they were talking really loudly, like they usually did. The current topic: food. And banter, but that was always expected.

"And I will stand by my position- lunchables were completely ruined by the meat." Owen declared, walking a little faster to get ahead of his friends. He started walking backwards, a challenging smirk on his features. He crossed his arms, raising his brows and looking to his friends defiantly.

Their arrival had caused the group to become a bit drained- that combined with hunger had made the group more low-energy than usual, which, granted, was still pretty high-energy, but still. The first few minutes the group had been at Hogwarts were mildly eventful, though most of the event had been centered around their Headmaster, who'd made quite the entrance earlier.

Thus, he'd been trying to hype the group up a little, especially Don, who seemed a little down. The best way to do that, however, was food, and Owen had no clue where the cafeteria was.

"Lunchables ruined the existence and dignity of food solely by existing. Congratulations, Owen, you have successfully crushed my appetite by merely mentioning them. I couldn't thank you more!" That couldn't have been further from the truth, though, and he could feel his stomach growl like it was screaming at him.

Don stopped when they did, looking around the place he knew he'd been to before. Yeah, he knew this place, this is where he met up with Eris! Aw, Eris. He loved Eris, he really did. He didn't know where else he'd go now, though, so mentioning her probably wouldn't be of much help.

"Imagine dying of starvation in Hogwarts," he said, already beginning his hourly ramble of Things That Will Never Happen But You Can't Exactly Denounce It Because We Live In A Magical World. "God, I don't even know what would happen. They leave our rotting bodies here for the giant, weird, witch rats to eat? Or... what if they pick them up, and just start to slow cook us in a cauldron? You know, slow cooking melts fat, and it makes super tender meat. They'll fuckin' kill us and make us into the next Great Hall meal!" He almost shrieked, but the amount of students around managed to motivate him not to.

He was getting punchy, though, and started to pull at his clothes and shift his weight, bounce on his heels occasionally. Everyone in their gang loved food, loved to eat it, and often used it to make their mood a lot better. If they didn't have food, everyone would get angry, and if everyone got angry, they'd look for food, and then they'd find the one person in their group that would piss them off the most and then eat them. It would probably be Don, if worst came to worse.

"Maybe if I scream loud enough, someone will think we're getting murdered and come and almost help us, and then we'll tell them we have to eat, and they'll be so glad we aren't dead that they'll take us to their cafeteria that's honestly probably like a huge banquet or some shit you'd see in a movie, and we'll have the finest meal we'll ever lay our eyes on. The more I think about it, the harder it is to not scream." He chewed the side of his cheek, and then his nails, like it'd give him some kind of sustenance. He even started to fist at his stomach to get it to stop aching, like that ever worked. Jesus.

What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much, though.

↳ Roaming the endless corridors of Hogwarts had adapted to be one of Aphrodite's favorite things do these days. It seemed like there were infinite possiblilites once you went down one, whether you found a hidden room you never knew existed, or stumble upon a black cat that gives you the heebie jeebies. Either way, it was an adventure everytime, and lately, she needed an excuse to get out of the candle filled and sceneted aroma common room that is Hufflepuff.

Aphrodite stared at the walls as she passed, taking note of its cracked, worn down exterior. Bloody hell, the castle had to be over a million years old. Okay, maybe not that old, but jeez. Turning sharply on her heel, she cut the corner to a new corridor, spotting a group of students at the end of the hall. Though, they hadn't been wearing their robes, which seemed a bit off to her.

Her heart lept out of her chest after getting a proper look at them, though. It was the Ilvermorny students, the same group of students she saw during the arrival. As her eyes widened, she turned around quickly and begun to walk the other way.

What has gotten into you? They don't even go here! Why do you care what they think of you?! Her thoughts screamed even more at her, causing her to turn and walk the same direction as the Ilvermorny kids. It was true, they didn't go here, and they didn't have the right to judge her. So with a more confident sort of stride, Aphrodite continued down the corridor, walking slowly to lightly eavesdrop on their conversation.

"And I will stand by my position- lunchables were completely ruined by the meat." One boy had said, causing Aphrodite's face to shrink into a face of disgust. Really? Lunchables? She questioned to herself, shaking her head is disapproval.

'Americans..' Aphrodite muttered, her hair swishing back and fourth as she passed them.

Ignoring the constant rumble of her stomach, Genevieve walked along the halls of the castle with her friends. The more they talked about food the more she realized how starving she was from the trip over. She was torn between wanting to find the cafeteria to eat and worrying what would await them once there. Did they only eat haggis.. lamb... blood pudding. 'Oh god..' Her stomach flip flopped making her feel nauseous at the thought of what any of that might taste let alone feel like while eating.

Lunchables. Now THERE was a food. Pizza lunchables, cheese of course, was something Evie desperately missed. She made a bit of a gag sound as Owen proclaimed them nasty due to the meat. He wasn't wrong. Not in the slightest. The ham and cheese ones were absolutely disgusting.

"Slimey ham.." Evie shuddered. Even if she was starving that was not something she would live through. Beggars could be choosers. Right? Watching Owen turn to face them, walking backwards, Vi smirked and rushed forward mock pushing him. She was starting to get a bit rowdier than usual, a little on the verge of hangry, if you will.

"Don't lie you just want to find some other type of snack." Vi stressed the last word in a playful manner. Teasing about the girls drooling over Owen was always something to bring up. Just look at the boy, speaking of snacks. It was obvious that he would be able to cruise the ladies here, no doubt.

Evie turned to Don and grinned waving her hands in front of his face. "What if it's all part of their plan. Lead us here to capture us...take us in.. starve us until we give them information of Illvermorny!" Sticking her tongue out the violet haired girl laughed and wrinkled her nose, shaking her head at her friend. Maybe some laughs would lighten the mood before they really got too out of hand.

Vi's eyes darted down the hall as she noticed movement behind the boys. Maybe it was a student they could ask about where to get some food. The girl seemed to be walking their way, lucky for them.

Raising a hand about to greet her, she noticed the girl simply striding by. Maybe not all the students at Hogwarts were welcoming about the Illvermorny students visiting. That's when she heard it. Gritting her teeth, Vi's stomach roared once more forcing down the venom bubbling on her tongue threatening to shoot a quick quip back at the girl. Hangrytown here we are.

"Hey." Evie called out after the girl, matching her stride and moving to stand in front of her. "We're looking for the Great Hall? Could you point us in the right direction since you seem in a rush?"

↳ Just as she had been about to pass them and get the awkward encounter over with, a girl slid in front of her, preventing her from walking on. She was pretty yes, though she looked angry, or at least a tad bit ticked off.

The girl asked about the Great Hall, a small tone of attitude clung to her words. In a rush? Yeah she was in a rush.. to get back to minding her own business. Sure, most Hufflepuffs weren't as cocky and mouthy as Aphrodite, but what could you do?

As she took a step back, creating distance between herself and the girl, Aphrodite pointed to the stairs and cocked her head. "Just follow the staircase, the directions will shift for you. It's on the Ground floor, the room with the long rows of tables? You won't miss it."

And with that, Aphrodite continued on her way, though she quickly turned around to say something else. As she ran a hand through her blonde hair, pushing it out of her eyes, she smiled at them. "That is, if you'd like me to show you the way if it's easier. You guys could find a spot down there big enough for your whole.. group to sit at. We would be a bit early, though we shouldn't have to wait to long for the next meal to start."

Aphrodite hid it well, but there was secretly a wide grin hiding behind her pretty facade. She didn't know why interacting with them made her so happy, though it still pleased her when talking to them.

If they would agree to making Aphrodite their.. tour guide.. She would ask them their names.

"Calm your tits, Don." Owen laughed, rolling his eyes at his friend's dramatics. "You don't have anything to worry about, anyways. You'd taste disgusting."

"You should try it, Don, please. Scream at the top of your lungs right now, see how it goes." Owen joked, sarcasm dripping from his tone. He was still walking backwards, something Gene was looking to take advantage of as she faked Owen out by pretending to push him.

Owen stumbled a bit from surprise, but soon regained his balance and was able to shoot Gene a playful glare. A grin danced across his face as he mock pushed her back, which, in reality, was only him stepping forward and pushing back on her shoulders a little.

"Don't lie you just want to find some other type of snack." Vi teased, making Owen blush a little and roll his eyes. She wasn't wrong, really, but he still found himself blushing. He could tell that he wouldn't be going with anyone from their friend group- it was obvious that Evie was going to end up going with Hunter, and that Del was going to end up going with Don. He obviously wasn't looking to go alone, so, yeah, he kind of was looking for a "snack".

Owen turned as Evie called out, wrangling in a random Hogwarts student, asking for directions. The girl who she'd caught was blonde, with blue eyes and pale skin. She seemed to be three or four years younger than Owen, and she had on black robes with yellow accents.

"Thanks," Owen responded after the girl offered to show them to the Great Hall. "We're definitely gonna get lost, though. You sure you don't mind showing us?"

"I'm Owe-" his introduction was cut short as his back suddenly collided with something. No, someone. He, luckily, was still standing, but the person he'd bumped into didn't seem so lucky.

He heard a yelp, then a small thump, and quickly turned to see his victim on the floor. It was a girl, around his age, maybe a year or so younger, but he couldn't get a good look at her.

"Holy shit!" he exclaimed, quickly crouching down to help the girl up. "I'm so sorry, that was totally my bad." his words came out in a jumbled rush as he helped her up.

He knew why he was nervous, because he'd just knocked her down, but he also felt a different kind of nervous. The kind of nervous he felt back in first grade when he'd had a crush on Abigail Jones, who would always share her lunch with him at recess. The fact that this girl was so pretty probably wasn't helping either, to be honest.

Walking to lunch was never no easy matter. After pushing past crowds of students and wondering if her stomach would persist, leaving class to go eat was at the top of priorities. Usually, this was the case for Emma, but to no surprise, today was different.

Speedwalking to her dormitory to drop off her belongings, she pushed against the wave the students that forced themselves in their direction. Needless to say, her stomach was on empty and she wanted to go eat. Usually skipping breakfast didn't help her case either, but that was never the problem, even though it was the reason her stomach growled during History of Magic. No, it was simply pure hunger. Sooner or later, thoughts of hunger began to swarm her mind and sooner or later. The brunette felt her stomach begin to churn, but it before she could clutch her stomach to relieve the sense, it disappeared and it pushed on.

Her backpack was already slowing her down, why take it off? Many of Hogwarts' students had noticed, but the school was a bit more crowded, even if there weren't many American students. Why does the common room have to be so far? She internally questioned herself, despite being in the school for her third year. Before she could answer her own question, however, she was knocked off her feet and her eyes wandered upwards.

"Right.. thanks. I don't suppose you have eyes in the back of your head?" Came a sarcastic question, and she pushed herself off the ground. It was really hard to think about food when she was on the brim of starting another pointless argument. Brushing her robes off, she stood and looked at the group of students. American. Of course.

Owen's apology didn't seem to impress this girl, who scowled at him as she got up. His cheeks began to heat yet again as she made a snarky comment. Sure, it was rude and all, but Owen couldn't help but think that she looked cute with a scowl on her face.

"Sorry again." Owen commented monotonously, a bit of sarcasm becoming apparent in his own voice as well. "Hey, how 'bout I make it up to you?" Owen asked, a smug grin growing on his face as an idea formed in his head. Owen was pretty dense, however, and he failed to realize how dumb the idea was before it was too late.

The train of thought was incredibly plain, and incredibly Owen. One: he accidentally bumps into a girl. Two: he realizes the girl is very pretty. Three: well, three was where it all began to go haywire.

"How about you go to the dance with me? Y'know, as an 'I'm sorry'." he offered, his smile widening by the second. His future-self would cringe, and probably punch him because he sounded like a douche. But, hey, Owen was dense. Really dense.

He remained hopeful, however, his judgement clouded by how absolutely smitten he'd become. It was childish, but Owen crossed his fingers behind his back.

↳ She watched as Owen bumped into an unexpecting girl, who fell to the ground with a crash. Although he apologized, she didn't seem to care, and still came off irritated. Her facial expression looked as if she wasn't shocked that it was Ilvermorny students, like obviously they we're the ones to screw up out of everyone.

As she watched him spot a cheeky grin, Aphrodite frowned. Honestly, what was up with all the relationships going on? It was likely they wouldn't even last a week most times. As she shook her head, Aphrodite tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and waited for the girls response to his.. proposal.. It was cringy, yes. Though also kind of sly, using that little incident to his advantage.

"You know.. whenever you two lovebirds are ready, we can go.." She said softly, trying to keep a move on. Sure, the way he popped the question right there was cute, though it didn't affect her much, therefore she just wanted to carry on to the Great Hall like they had planned. She kept sneaking glances of Don's eyes, though not focusing on them for more than a few seconds before looking away.

How annoying.. this girl seemed too far above their group. Honestly.. Brits. Fighting the massive eyeroll that would be her typical response, she gave a smile to the girl. "Yeah Owen's right that would be-"

Turning to look at the commotion, Owen had seemed to run over a poor Hogwarts girl. Who was holding her own. Nice. Evie snickered at Owen's expense for a moment. Somehow she felt like the girl may give him a run for his money in the sass department. Owen falling for a girl again, literally.

"Right.. thanks. I don't suppose you have eyes in the back of your head?"

Vi choked back a laugh and gave the girl a smile. Oh yeah, she liked her. This would be an interesting night... and time at Hogwarts if this went any further knowing how Owen could be. Not to mention the ball lingering in their immediate future.

"You know.. whenever you two lovebirds are ready, we can go.."

Glancing back to the other younger girl, Vi gave a nod. "If we don't go now they might just start sucking face." She gave an eyebrow raise towards Owen, a smirk planted across her lips. "Lead the way, oh tour guide."
