Gryffindor v Ravenclaw
Jorah locked on to his target, Raine, one of Gryffindor's chasers. If he could take her out, his chasers would have an easier time scoring. Jorah searched the air for a bludger, but before he could get into position Olphie's voice rang out, "Score! 10 Points to Ravenclaw!" Whoa!, Jorah was shocked, the game was moving much faster than he thought it would. He intercepted the nearest bludger and gave it a loud SMACK! with his bat. The bludger soared towards Raine with enough force to knock her clear off of her broom. Miss! "Dang!", Jorah let out in frustration. There was no time to complain though because Gryffindor's hulking Captain Kyle was sending that same bludger directly back towards Jorah. Luckily he saw it coming and dove out of the way to safety.
Having narrowly dodged his own beating, a thought popped into his mind, Ruthie! He stole a moment from the game to find where she was, Good she's ok, he thought. As a beater, it was Jorah's job to protect his teammates from the bludgers. Though his main concern should have been for their seeker, in his heart he was more worried about his friend.
"Emilia Stern, Ravenclaw Captain, hits DeRock with a Bludger!", What!, Jorah snapped from Ruthie to see Kyle now on the ground with stretchers inbound to take him off of the field. Jorah hoped he was ok, but was glad Kyle wasn't a threat anymore. "Happy Birthday to the ground!", Jorah yelled, a reference he knew his muggle friends back home would appreciate. Emma was one hell of a beater, and Jorah was happy she was on their side.
Alright, focus! Jorah flew into position for his next play.

High up in the air, with his broom as his only companion, Neculai was content. With only one thing on his mind finding that Golden Snitch. So he tried to find that one shiny reflection of gold in the light blue sky. Everything had blurred out around him, not noticing how the others on his team were doing, just focusing on the task at hand. He almost hadn't noticed the Bludger that came straight for him.
Reflexes that he hadn't even realized he possessed, took a hold of him and quickly he veered his broom out of the Bludger's devastating path. The air sweeping in his face and a small tear dripping down his face. A bit in shock, Neculai traced the Bludger back to its origin. "By Merlin's beard!" Immediately thinking why they would target him. Had he said something wrong to them? Can't be this was the first time he had seen both of the Beaters. His thoughts suddenly were interrupted as he saw the Gryffindor Captain plummeting down the ground. His pale lips formed a wordless awtch as he imagined the fall the boy made. Thinking of what he should be doing, his blood red eyes scanned his surroundings once again for that glimmering gold.

Raine gasped and dipped her broom low to avoid the incoming bludger. Looking at the direction that the heavy ball came from, she glared at the boy who had smacked it toward her. If we were a beater, she would have found herself a bludger and sent one back toward the brat herself. Thankfully, her captain had her back and she nodded a thanks to Kyle as he smacked the same bludger back toward Jorah. Unfortunately, it missed him.
"Damn it. Lucky bird," she muttered to herself as she moved to help Gris and Millie to get the Quaffle. Again, fortune wasn't in her favor. Their formation had failed and they couldn't get a grasp on the red ball. The Ravenclaw trick grabbed the ball from Gris and Raine turned to chase after Lavinia, but neither she nor the other Chasers were fast enough and Raine scoffed once she saw that the ball managed to slip pass Hugh. The girl smacked her broom in frustration but focused her eyes back on the game, taking care to look out for any more bludgers coming her way. Another SMACK sounded throughout the field and Raine would look in its direction, only to see her captain get smacked hard in the head with the hard and speedy ball.
"KYLE!" Raine watched as Kyle fell fast toward the ground until he landed with a THUD down below. Wincing, as she could imagine that his body would be in a lot of pain when he woke up, Raine turned her gaze toward the Beater who had sent the ball toward the taller boy. Narrowing her eyes at Emma, she secretly hoped that Ravenclaw would lose in order to wipe the smirks off of the dumb group of birds' faces. For now, she knew that she had to make sure no one else suffered the same fate as their captain. Should anyone fall, she would catch them...or try to.

The only words that came to lamiks head as he watches the game were Oh no. From what the reserve seeker could tell, things were going very, very badly. First of all- the enemy team had already scored some points. That didn't mean much, of course. The game was far too young to be decided, and the boy had faith that his teams keeper would prevent much more from getting past them. Besides- it wasn't like they had caught the snitch- the little golden ball that was, in Lamiks opinion, simply the most important part of the game. Really, it was a shame that only the seeker could catch the shimmering orb.
What really made the situation so dire was Kyle- or rather the lack of any broom beneath Kyle. Lamiks eyes widened as the boy fell through the air, and he closed them as soon as he hit the ground. Though the Gryffindor was well aware that thanks to the healing capabilities of the medical staff Kyle would almost certainly be ok, he couldn't help but worry at the pain that his captain would be in.

The game was not starting out right. The quaffle was ripped right from the Chasers hands, Kyle was knocked out of the game immediately, and Professor Bercegeay was commentating. Not that the Professor commentating was something Millie would outright say she hated, but the nicknames were progressively getting worst.
She took in a deep breath, her nerves turning moreover to anger rather than fear. Ignoring the urge to show the Ravenclaw Captain a disgusting sign, Millie turned back to her teammates, trying to think of any good possibility that could come from this. Maybe the remaining Beater could somehow destroy the entire Ravenclaw team with one bludger, and while the Ravenclaw team was distracted trying not to die, the Chasers could score a billion points. And the snitch could be found.
If they were to get to that point, somehow, it would be a miracle and a half. But miracles were always on the verge of happening.

Wooo! A score! Already! That might have been less impressive if Adam had any sense of how fast matches like this were supposed to go, but it felt like it had happened right off the bat. If things kept up like this, the game could be over before Adam even stood up.
He had to take a minute to look over the field and sort out the events of the first few minutes from Professor Bercer....Bercey....B.'s confusing commentary. Ravenclaw had scored, indeed, and in that time their Beaters had managed to knock Gryffindor's captain down off of his broom too. Neculai was up above the action on the hunt for the Snitch, Dymph was guarding the hoops, and the Chasers were zooming around the pitch. Not much time to celebrate up in the air.
He would just have to do all of the celebrating for them. "Goooo Ravenclaw!" the boy shouted from his seat, grinning. "Looking great! Yeah!" He didn't know how much they could hear from up there, but hopefully the notion would lend some universally-charged support. Or something like that. At the very least, it made him feel good to cheer on his team as they flew through their first match.

Man she was on a roll, one score in hand and many more to go for the season. She knew how much was at stake for this game. If she did not play according to plan then her team could lose the first game of the season and losing was not in her vocabulary. Once she scored besides the fact that the crowd was going wild she had not noticed yet but the commentator was none other then her favorite teacher. The professor who had a great passion in winning quidditch. Even if she called you a different name every single time she meet me at least she taught me her killer quidditch moves.

Kyle gave her a nod as they took their positions and instantly Arlis's confidence was boosted slightly. The game started and she grinned watching their Chasers go charging in immediately. They didn't get the quaffle however and the other team did. Before there was any time to react ravenclaw had scored. She pulled a face, but she knew that they could come back from it. It was only one goal and it was still early in the match.
She happened to glance at Kyle right as he looked over too and he gestured to her. They teamed up to launch a budger at one of the Ravenclaws. Arlis felt a rush of exhilaration as they sent it off with power, but it sadly missed. Better luck next time… She looked around trying to figure out what to do. Kyle was taking another shot at hitting someone… but wait. "No!" She yelled instinctively as Kyle plummeted to the ground. Her heart raced and her eyes were wide. What were they going to do without him? Shocked, she tried to drag her attention back to the rest of the game. Kyle…

Euphrasia Millie attempts to blatch Emma Hill. Damage to be dealt, 200+ auto knock from broom.
7+9=16 vs 14+11=25
Emma Hill has dodged the Blatching attempt! Euphrasia Millie will suffer a penalty.
Griseldis Edelhardt is also goes for a blatch, this time against Jorah Moussa. Damage to be dealt: 700+ auto knock from broom.
6+16=22 vs 5+1=6
Griseldis Edelhardt's blatch is successful! Jorah is knocked from his broom! Griseldis Edelhardt will suffer a penalty.
Raine Sage is on standby to save anyone who falls.
Good.... God. The Chasers were out for blood this time around. The majority of the Gryffindor Chasers just seemed to want to clear the board of Ravenclaw beaters. Euphrasia Millie flew at Emma Hill with all the speed she could manage, but Emma dodged almost effortlessly.Ruthie Greer is on standby to save anyone who falls.
Cecily Quinn is attempting to Blatch Eris Fawley. Damage to be dealt: 600+auto knock off broom.
11+20=31 vs 7+12=19.
Cecily Quinn's blatching is successful! Eris Fawley is knocked from her broom! Cecily Quinn will suffer a penalty.
Lavinia Cloven attempts an entirely uncontested Quaffle Grab.
10+11=21.
Lavinia Cloven has taken the Quaffle! ....I mean... obviously....
A loud whistle pierced the air, followed by the referee's bellowing voice.
"FOUL!!! Euphrasia Millie! One Lap Penalty!"
But then, almost immediately after that, Griseldis Edelhardt did the same thing against Jorah Moussa. Except this time, it was a marked success. Jorah managed to hit a bludger, but just as he did, Gris smashed into him, knocking him clear from his broom.
Once again, the shrill sound of the whistle sounded, followed by the referee.
"FOUL!!! Griseldis Edelhardt! One Lap Penalty!!"
Poor Jorah dropped like a brick. This was gonna hurt when he landed. His short life flashed before his eyes as he fell.
Right onto Ruthie Greer's broom. She had seen him get smacked immediately, and flew down after him, angling herself perfectly.
I just REALLY hope Jorah was wearing a cup....Otherwise he would be in considerable pain.
But, as it happened, Gryffindor was not the only ones with a blatch in mind. Cecily Quinn had Eris Fawley in her sights, and flew at her with incredible speed.
Her eyes exclusively on the Snitch, poor Eris didn't have a chance. Cecily T-Boned right into her, knocking her well off her broom.
And yet again, the whistle and the ref.
"FOUL!!! Cecily Quinn! One Lap Penalty!!"
Unbelievable. In the space of 12 seconds, he'd had to call 3 fouls in a row.
Lavinia Cloven made a grab for the Quaffle, and had absolutely no trouble taking it whatsoever. Good for Ravenclaw, but kinda boring, honestly...
She raced to the Gryffindor goal posts, staring down Hugh Lowe, who was getting worked over like a hunting dog at this point.
Hugh was ready this time. He wasn't going to be outsmarted this time. He knew Ravenclaw was clever, and that feint nonsense showcased that last time. But, this time he knew the tells for a feint. And when Lavina gave the signs off, he flew into position to intercept. And she threw it pretty weak... This would be an easy save.Lavinia Cloven is attempting to score against Hugh Lowe.
10+14=24 vs 7+11=18.
Lavinia Cloven Scores!!
Except, Lavina knew that Hugh knew the tells for the feint. She had been watching intently when he had been outdone last time, and predicted that he would steel himself to intercept a feint this time. She feinted, and threw the ball to the left, but did so quite slowly. The moment Hugh moved to grab the Quaffle, Lavina darted forward, quite a bit faster than both the Quaffle AND Hugh, and spun herself at the perfect angle, smashing her foot into the Quaffle, and sending it careening to the right, directly through the hoop. Ravenclaw had scored once again.
"SCORE!!!! Ten points to Ravenclaw!!"
The crowd roared. Some in excitement and support, but a few, particularly ones in Red and Gold scarves, in anger and fury. The Ravenclaw Chasers were on fire today, for sure.
What followed was simultaneously one of the most heroic and inspiring, and one of the most brutal things witnessed on the Hogwarts Quidditch Pitch. Ravenclaw's Beaters wanted that Lion Seeker's head something fierce. Both of them launched bludgers in a Double Bludger Backbeat attack on Eris Fawley. But, right in time, Arlis Penrose flew in the way, attempting to bat the balls away. But, it seemed, Emma and Jorah's attack was too strong. Arlis was unable to redirect either bludger. But, intent on protecting her Seeker, Arlis took the bludgers herself. Emma's hit first, and hit hard. Arlis grit her teeth, and held onto the broom. She saw Jorah hit one too. She wasn't going to be knocked off in one shot like that. Not while Eris was her charge.Emma Hill attempts a Bludger Backbeat maneuver against Eris Fawley. However, Arlis Penrose stands in her way as Defender. Damage to be dealt: 1300/2=650.
14+18+5=38(....') vs 7+5=12.
Arlis fails to redirect the bludger, and is nailed hard with it. She is not knocked from her broom, however.
Jorah Moussa also tries a Bludger Backbeat against Eris Fawley. But, Arlis still stands in the way despite serious injuries like an anime badass. Damage to be dealt: 800/2= 400.
10+8+5=23 vs 7+5=12.
Arlis again fails to redirect the bludger and is hit instead. Arlis is knocked from her broom.
She tried, but was not able to deflect Jorah's bludger either. This time, Arlis was not able to hold on, and was knocked off her broom.
Just as Jorah was reveling in his victory, Griseldis Edelhardt slammed into him from behind. Perhaps out of raging vengeance. Jorah was sent tumbling from his broom. Luckily, Ruthie Greer was there to catch him.
Dymphna was having quite a boring time. But, at least she got a show.Dymphna Teague did absolutely nothing, as neither bludger nor Chaser came to challenge her.
Though he would search, Neculai would still not be able to find that damned ball. Amid all the chaos that was happening, this was not surprising.Neculai Lazar attempts to find the Snitch.
6+2+1=9. (Snitch DC is 21)
Neculai fails to locate the Snitch.
Eris was completely focused on the Snitch. As such, she did not even notice Cecily Quinn flying right at her left side. Cecily slammed into Eris, and knocked her clear from her broom.Eris Fawley attempts to grab the Snitch.
11+2=13. (Snitch Catch DC is 18)
Eris Fawley fails to catch the Snitch.
She reached out as hard as she could; The snitch was so close!
Right as as she was about to grab it though, it darted to the left, out of Eris' reach.
Eris fell, at the same rate as her spirits did. The Gryffindors in the stands started to freak. With all this happening, it would not be surprising if there was a Lion Riot.
Raine Sage saw two people falling, and raced to save one. Whether it was due to her heroism, or mistaking her for another, was anyones guess. But, she flew down faster than she had ever flown before, and caught Arlis Penrose on her broom. A daring save for a Gryffindor heroine.Raine Sage was on Save duty. As there are two Gryffindors falling, and no target was specified, the one saved will be determined via Dice Roll.
1 for Arlis,
Two for Eris.
Roll is...
1! Arlis is rescued by Raine!
Round Results:
Hugh Lowe: Full HP. Probably embarrassed.
Eris Fawley: 0 HP. Knocked from Broom. Hit ground, out of the match.
Kyle DeRook: 0 HP. Knocked from Broom. hit ground, out of the match.
Arlis Penrose: Knocked from Broom. Saved by Raine Sage. Still in match. Has earned "Anime Badass Protagonist" Title.
Raine Sage: Full Health. Saved Arlis Penrose. Is stuck with Arlis Penrose on her broom for duration of the match.
Griseldis Edelhardt: Full health. One lap penalty.
Euphrasia Millie: Full Health. One lap penalty.
Neculai Lazar: Full Health. Likely somewhat relieved that the Seeker was taken down.
Dymphna Teague: Full Health. Possibly bored to tears.
Jorah Moussa: Knocked off broom. Saved by Ruthie Greer. Still in match. Unless wearing an athletic cup, will be in incredible pain, and will be speaking in a much higher voice for the duration of the match.
Emma Hill: Full Health. Actually kinda scary.
Lavinia Cloven: Full Health. Quite proud of herself.
Cecily Quinn: Full Health. One lap penalty.
Ruthie Greer: Full health. Saved Jorah Moussa. Stuck with Jorah Moussa on her broom until match ends, or Jorah returns to his broom. Possibly caused severe pain to Jorah.

Gryffindor v Ravenclaw
Though this was not a professional Quidditch game (nothing would compare to the days that Olphie thrilled fans as a member of the Holyhead Harpies), Olphie was still having fun. As the players flew back and forth, Olphie emitted loud "ooh"s and "aah"s just to ensure that those watching were still giving the game the attention it deserved. She needed to. Eurasia Milky was unsuccessful in her attempt to blatch Irma Mountain, and nothing else seemed to be happening. Olphie was growing restless; certainly, the crowd was as well, given that they did not have the nuanced appreciation of the game that Olphie possessed. Nonetheless, Olphie bellowed her approval at the referee's declaration that Miley take a lap. Served her right, not succeeding in pure entertainment like that!
If her theatrics weren't enough, the game eventually made itself as interesting as a Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, or the live feeds of that fabulous TV show that everyone totally watches, Big Brother. Greaseldis Braveheart also attempted to blatch, but unlike Euphraseia, she had enough grit and determination to make contact with Moose-uh. Olphie cackled loudly as she joked, "Guess his last name isn't Mousse after all; more like Lose-ah!"
It wasn't her kindest remark, but fans of the Holyhead Harpies' shining star would remember that Olphie was fond of aggressive maneuvers the (rare) times she played. Interviews with the team, post matches, would often be swamped with Olphie making violent threats against the opposing team, even though the match was over. Her eyes twinkled as she watched the boy fall from his broom, only to let out an audible moan when he was saved by his teammate: "Lucky fellow; looks like Rooty Greener saved him! As you've heard, folks, that'll be a penalty lap for Everclear...if only it could have been the victory lap that collision deserved..."
Meanwhile, Cecilia Queen had the same thought in mind. As she whooped with approval and tried to drown out the penalty for the Ravenclaw, Olphie cheered in a totally not plagiarized bellow, "Unbelievable! In the space of 12 seconds, the ref had had to call three fouls in a row! Is this a Hogwarts Quidditch match or the big leagues?"
Those silly Gryffindors had not considered the skill of Olphie's protégé, Lavender Clamchowder; she had an easy time getting the Quaffle. Dismayed at the sight before her, Olphie continued to yell violent threats, as if she was back in those post-match interviews: "Get your head together, lions! Think back to your time in the jungle and attack those birds. Eat. Them. Alive! That's what your ferocious roar and sharp teeth are for, aren't they?"
They would not heed her warning, and once again, Lilac and Hug the Load were face-to-face in what would hopefully be a match to the death. Luckily, Olphie kept her deepest hopes and desires internal, for she certainly would have been fired for encouraging murder at a school event. At the very minimum, at least, she hoped that the Ravenclaw chaser would murder those sideburns with some hedge clippers. Instead, the girl completed a skilled feint, tricking Hue into missing the Quaffle...again.
"SCORE!!!!! Ten points to Ravenclaw! The Ravens are certainly asserting their dominance! Has Barnaby Ryker, the best Quidditch player of our time - after myself, of course - been coaching them in his spare time?"
Email Hillocky attempted a Bludger Backbeat, one of Olphie's favorite moves (though any beater's move was her favorite, as it reminded her of the glory days), and though it seemed to be aimed for Airhead Falcon, Arlisp Pencap was in the way. Fortunately for Erik, though probably unfortunately for Arlington, the Bludger made contact with Primrose and hit solidly, though the girl managed to stay on her broom. "That's got to -" Olphie planned to comment further on the action when her eyes focused almost immediately on Mollusk, as he also attempted a Bludger Backbeat on Falsely. Freshly hit, and definitely unfortunately for Arctic, she was in the way again. Crack! Not only was the girl hit, but she fell from her broom! It definitely was unusable until a professional inspected it. "- hurt!" Olphie shrieked, shocked at the actions that just ensued. This was the Quidditch match of her dreams; it certainly would end in a bloodbath if the two houses kept this up.
While all this was happening, Faucet seemed to have gotten the Snitch within her grasps, though she failed in her attempts. Olphie would have loudly moaned her disappointment, then yelped as Sicily rammed into the Seeker's left side, but she was too distracted by the other hubbub. Two lions were falling, unable to fly like the animal they had taken as a mascot, and it seemed that the Gryffindors were doomed.
Unless. By a stroke of luck, it seemed that Reign Saved would live true to her name and save her opponents, but her broom was not family sized - only one would fit! Though Olphie had originally perceived the Gryffindor chaser as useless and sluggish, more apt to let her other teammates lead the team while she simply rested on the team's laurels, it seemed her initial judgments had been wrong. Olphie watched in the stunned silence of disbelief, as she never was wrong, while she watched Senpai choose who she cared about more - Ayelid. Meanwhile, Fawning was falling, down, down, down...
"Better luck next time!" Olphie shrieked in delight, laughing almost maniacally. "I'll send you an autographed picture to motivate you to get well, dear!"
The game had taken quite a dramatic turn. Olphie was having fun indeed. It was almost as if she was back on the pitch again, given how much she was loving every moment.
