Slytherin vs. Hufflepuff 1st Game Finished

“THAT’S WHAT YOU GET FOR LIKING THOR, KOVACS.” That certain got his head turning to the stand to see his red headed compatriot slandering the good god of thunder's name. Reid shook his bat at Eris in a threatening manner, but his lopsided grin betrayed his warning to the girl. A resounding THWACK drew his attention and he saw Quinn's yellow and black robes descend from the sky like an asteroid. His green eyes widened and his stomach twisted into a sickening knot as he watched his co-captain hit the ground.

His eyes drifted to the other two Slytherin beaters and his face had turned a slight shade of red. His blood ran hot like fire at the sight of seeing his the brutality. It was his first game, he didn't know yet how violent it can be sometimes and he almost felt offended on Quinn's behalf. But that was the game and he was quick to remind himself of that when he dawned that it was his turn. "Reid. Go kick their butts." He gave a very stiff salute to Serena with a grin that masked his flaring temper.

"You got it Serena." With that, he mounted his Nimbus 1000 and made sure his beater uniform was on, then he was off. His mind was imaginative, it helped masked the sudden wave of nervousness. So with the mention of Thor earlier, it was no surprise that he saw himself in an epic battle against Erin Ryan with his bat in hand. It brought a wave of excitement in his chest, Thor against Jormungandr, the Midgard Serpent. It fit more than it should and it further solidified his childish fantasies as the wind whipped his in the face.

Like what Professor Price said in the stands, he was perhaps worthy to wield Mjolnir and he might just name his bat so. But being worthy would be determined soon enough as Reid entered the field to avenge Quinn with his eyes clearly trained on Erin Ryan. It was probably enough confirmation that he heard her plan; but he got into formation regardless.

Elena may have winced a bit when Quinn was knocked out of the sky, because that's gotta hurt, logical play or not. Koko, she would admit, was quite a good keeper, so that was excellent.

Oh damn, who needs adoring fans when you have an angry Santario, that was the most terrifyingly positive shouting she'd ever heard from the stands.

The first few minutes of Carson’s first game had gone well. Until they’d started going completely downhill, that is. He and Dawn Riley flanked Annie Morgan as the three zipped towards the goal in the Hawkshead Attacking Formation, opposing Slytherin’s Keeper, Koko Riddle.

Koko proved to be a rather adept Keeper, however, when she blocked Annie’s shot. Carson was too focused on watching the Quaffle to realize that Erin Ryan had knocked Quinn Healy off his broom, and Reid Kovacs soon replaced him in the game.

Carson felt his nerves rise at the sight of Quinn leaving the pitch in such as state, but he quickly shook them off as best he could and continued to focus on the game.

Edric watched, transfixed, as the players took their positions in the sky and the match officially began. Everyone immediately most lightning fast, both teams going for the plays they'd decided on beforehand. He watched with wide amber eyes as the Chasers fought over the Quaffle, and made an unhappy sound when the Hufflepuffs managed to steal it from the Slytherins.

Beside him on the bench sat a girl with dark hair, who had yelled at the Gryffindor Captain earlier. Edric was distracted by her obvious enthusiasm for the game for a second. “GOOD JOB KOKO!"

He hadn't expected a girl's voice to become that loud. Directly beside his ear. He cringed back, rising his eyes back towards the game, but he had already missed their Keeper deflecting the score attempt by the badger team. The Veela girl was in top form again, evading a Bludger a second later and, damn their team was good, the Beaters attacking the big Hufflepuff Beater out of nowhere. Two balls hit the boy right after another, and Edric watched in horror as he fell from his broom.

Yep, he was still really glad that he was only a reserve player.

"Go, Dan!" he yelled, acutely aware that if their Captain and Seeker got knocked out of the game for some reason he would have to be the one to become a moving target.

Annie felt her adrenaline kick in as the whistle sounded. She was determined to make the first goal of the game as she raced towards the Slytherin's keeper, waffle in hand and teammates by her side. Her excitement blinded her and she attempted a weak score that was easily blocked by Koko Ridfle, the Slytherin's keeper.

She saw her smirk and was about to curse out a retort but had enough dignity to simply frown. "Why does she have to be hood at her position, I mean I her the point but really.." Annie mumbled to herself before catching a bludger shoot right towards the keeper. And again, she luckily avoided it. "How convienent, she is good at everything, and she'll only get better I assume.." Her sarcastic head voice came popped up again and her frown deepened.

"Whatever.." Annie raced off towards where a Slytherin had claim on the quaffle and was racing towards their keeper looking to her sides for Carson or Dawn. At this point she heard a loud, sickening crunch and turned to see not one but two bludgers collide with him. She saw him plummet to the ground, not sure he was conscious or broke something. "You did great Quinn!" Annie sent a glare towards the two smug Slytherin beaters.

She shook her head, clearing her thoughts. Cheering began to erupt from the stands as the Hufflepuff seeker, Julie raced by her, looking as if her vision was locked on something. "Go Julie!" Annie cheered. "Okay focus Annie, the plan remember.." She raced off and found Dawn and Carson again as they flew almost as one towards their target at the other end of the pitch. Ready or not, here we come." Annie grinned to herself and tightened her grip on her broom, her heart beating wildly in her chest.

Bridget mounted her broom, soaring up into the air. Sure, it was a little rocky, but the Shooting Star was definitely better than her school broom. Slytherin soon proved to be off to a good start. For starters, Koko was killing it as Keeper, not only easily swatting the Hufflepuff's attempts at scoring but also dodging an incoming bludger. That same bludger was hit by fellow beater Erin Ryan, who sent it soaring towards... wow.

The bludger impacted with a sickening crunch onto the tallest person she'd ever seen. The opposing team's beater must have been about seven feet, and considering she wasn't even five feet he was gigantic. Out of the corner of her eye, the other murderous metal sphere came into view. Sure, she'd never played baseball before, but instinct took over and she swung.

The next thing she knew, the tall boy had landed with a thud, completely unconscious. Bridget stared for a moment, not entirely sure what to think. For one, her confidence soared. Her first Quidditch match, and so far she was actually doing well! But on the other hand, she wasn't too keen to knock people off their brooms. Nevertheless, she wasn't about to let her team down. Besides, any enthusiasm she lacked Erin certainly had--the other beater was rather scary. It was a good thing she was on Bridget's side.

Readying her bat once more, Bridget looked around for what to do next.

Crap. That Slytherin beater was brutal, that's for sure. Saskia didn't think it would have been easy for Quinn to go down, but she was proven very wrong. The girl casted a glance towards his way, a look of worry etched on her face as he watched him fall down the ground. That definitely looked like it hurt. But as quickly as that concern appeared, the girl's expression hardened and she quickly turned to face the field. As distressed as she should have been, she knew there wasn't time to despair. It was her job as team captain to remained focus at all times, especially in situations such as this. If anything, this only fueled her anger. She needed to do better than this, and she would trust that her team was doing their best as well.

Saskia repressed the urge to roll her eyes as she heard a faraway chant from the benches. She couldn't afford any distractions, but that managed to piss her off. It might not have been a serious insult, but the words still pushed some of her buttons and she felt her face redden. A small frown made its way on the girl's face as she readied her bat. The last thing she needed was to act like an embarrassment in front of everyone else. She had to do this. She gave a quick nod towards Reid, who stepped in to take Quinn's place after the latter's fall before taking position once more.

Dangit. She almost grabbed the Quaffle but one of the Puffs snatched it away infront of her. A girl with the name Julie Shaw. Lucky shot.

Everything moved really quick as Nico never let her eyes off the Quaffle which was out of her reach now. Their Keeper, the lovely girl Koko, stood her ground infront of the iron rings. She wouldn't back down that easily. And with that, she made sure that would be one point less for Huffelpuff. Impressive.

Nico smiled brightly and quickly flew past her: 'Nice one, Koko!'.

Soon, many cheers were heard from the bench and the crowd aswell. This was going to be a pretty exciting match. Even the usually cold Santario didn't shy away from letting us hear her voice. As the wind blew in her hair, Nico flew back into formation. This had only just begun.

It did... hurt to see Quinn being hit that badly. Nico didn't wish anyone to have to endure such a Bludger pain. It looked awful. Sorry, Quinn. Please be okey.

Dan saw the epic plays his team was doing.
He felt a little bit bad for Quinn. He barely got to play at all. But, a Beater that strong would be a severe detriment to his team. Quin would've wiped out his whole team if they hadn't done something about it. Mega props to Erin and Bridget. And definitely props to Koko. Blocked a goal, AND dodged nasty bludgers. Koko was a damn fine Keeper.

Dan couldn't find that wretched ball, and now he'd lost sight of the other Seeker too. Dan couldn't focus on that, he HAD to find the bloody Snitch and fast.

Crack-a-wack goes the Bludger
A heavy tension built up into every single square inch of the Seeker's skin, her bouncing posture getting even more pronounced as the minutes ticked by her at the farthest echo of a snail's pace. She wanted to be airborne, she wanted to prove herself, she wanted to see the smiling faces of all the people important to her, she wanted to have fun. She looked like a perpetual pendulum, though the consistent motion was vertical in nature, tick tick tick. She needed to move. She assumed that if Quinn could feel her next to him he might think she was made of a bunch of wriggling mice twitching all over. The movement of someone caught her eye, an exceptionally pretty set of girls on the Slytherin team snapping her attention and causing her fidgeting to still for a second, a grin crawling up her lips as she remembered Astrea's pretty otherworldly presence which seemed to overshadow those she saw here. Her cheeks warmed as she focused in on her Captain, and mounted her broom alongside her in preparation for the whistle.

Shrill and loud the whistle blew, and Julie kicked so hard off the ground one could assume she really had been a coil wound far too tight and lit with electricity. Once airborne her poise was impeccable, the clear cool air washing away the awkwardness of her body as she sprawled lithely over the handle of her broom. This was her element, and ironically the most dangerous way she could have found it. Her blue eyes sparkled in the light as they darted around the pitch, hands flexing on the handle as she trained in her focus to seek that little beautiful glimmering thing. She'd done really well in practice when going after the Snitch, and she wanted to prove that Saskia's trust in her was well placed despite her being just a first year muggleborn. A loud pair of cracks snapped her attention as she roamed around the pitch, and Julie couldn't help the distraction as she watched with horror as Quinn went down hard. Her jaw dropped, and for the first time in the longest time Julie felt anger shoot up from her belly and peel down her spine like clawed fingers. That had been deliberate, and the way the Beater responded, intentionally harmful to Quinn. Her usually happy expression pulled down in an almost comically out of place frown of outrage.

Her focus snapped up as the Hufflepuff Chasers made a go for the goal, being blocked by one of the pretty Slytherins she'd noticed earlier. Her blood was boiling now, a fierceness in her glinting eyes flashed as she searched for the snitch with the renewed vigor of someone who wanted to show them just who they were messing with by taking out her giant friend. In her focus she caught it, flitting just past the Keeper that had blocked the goal and zooming through her periphery, and Julie gave no outward indication that she had done it, she'd found the snitch! Instead, a plan rattled in her head as she kept her eyes trained on the snitch and bolted straight for the Hufflepuff Captain Saskia, one hand coming up from her broom to make a fan at the back of her head like a Dilophosaurus displaying its rage at an intruder. Hit my friend will you.

Blood boilin' in my veins.
