Peace and Pondering
Francis hummed lightly to himself as he crossed the grounds, gripping his book close to his chest. Normally, he would have thought to go visit and explore the library for the first time, but he'd found the castle too lively. It was much quieter here, outside near the lake. Cool and quiet and perfect
The ginger settled under a tree, sighing in relief to be semi alone and to not have loud voices piercing his ears any longer. He leaned back and closed his eyes for a breathe of a second before looking up at the falling sun. It reminded him of home and the color of their living room fires and his sister's hair. Francis sighed, ignoring the soft rise of homesickness in his throat, and instead opened his textbook. It was one he'd randomly grabbed, and he paused for a moment before closing it again and look at the title. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Francis smiled at that and tipped his head, admiring the shifting cover before opening it again and commencing to read the first few sentences. He'd always loved animals, exceptionally dearly. Birds especially, but now that a whole new world had opened to him he was most excited about the aspect of animals. He'd already heard talk of dragons and it made him more eager to follow through with this scary new life.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

Rhea had taken her notebook out to the lake, knowing that that was where she got the most of her creative work done. She'd been working nonstop on learning all the correct Transfiguration material and had decided to take a break by doing something she loved - composing. So, she grabbed her things and made her way down to the lake, where she sat down with her back against a tree trunk, her knees bent up to her chest, her notebook resting in the space between her thighs and her stomach.
She closed her eyes for a moment to envision a melody, letting it mull over in her head before she wrote it down. She was torn out of her concentration when she heard footsteps descending down to the lake, coming to a stop near her. She turned her head and saw a redheaded boy holding a book settling down by a tree. He started to read it, getting completely immersed in it. Rhea decided to get up and go to him, to introduce herself.
Rhea walked up to the redhead and smiled, taking a seat next to him. She crossed her legs under her body and had to crane her head up to look at him. Dang my short height, she thought.
She faced him and stuck out her hand for him to shake. "Hey. My name's Rhea. What book are you reading?"

the trouble is, if you don't risk anything -- you risk more.

Peace and Pondering
Eri had been watching the two students from afar. She didn't want to go over there and talk since she was very bad at talking to people. Trying to avoid being noticed she picked her book up and read. Watching the two people talk she slowly was sucked into her book she was reading and then she was unaware of her surroundings and forgot where she was.
She looked over the rim of her book and observed the two people talking. She was really glad to be free from the castle full of people. She put down the book she just finished and grabbed a book on advanced charms that she got from the library earlier that day.
She was slowly sucked into her book and naturally she could hide in plain site, but since she was unaware of her surroundings she was now able to been seen by anyone who was outside on the grounds at that time. She happily flipped the pages of her book and enjoyed every second of the book. She often wondered why people did not like to read. Reading always gave Eri a safe place to escape from reality where she always struggled to talk to people.
