Frail fingers weaved the stems of the colorful array flowers together gently careful not to accidentally rip the frail like stems. Isadora felt her nerves ease as she found herself immersed into the flower-like crown she was making. The sweet scent of the blooming flowers wafted around sending a sweet nectar smell around her like the sweet calming melody.

The lively garden ball began to become much more livelier with the students dancing and having a good time. A time of peace and harmony if that was possible it was happening.

Isadora continued to work on the flower crown in her frail fingers, her crystal blue eyes focused on the stems and leaves gently not to damage the petals if it was possible. The young girl was careful and gentle as she weaved the stems through and through. Gazing down at the small flower crown that she ended up creating the young girl smiled gently the flowers blended well together bringing a vibrant spring festive coloration to the crown.

As Isadora stared at her creation an excited voice seemed to echo around her startling the sensitive hearing girl. Isadora felt her shoulders tense as her body jumped. Glancing towards the sound of the corporate Isadora felt her heart race nervously as her fingers seemed to tense around the delicate flower crown accidentally crushing a few flowers to the girls dismay.

Isadora felt her heart ache as she looked down at her hands noticing the few crumpled flower petals frowning slightly the young girl set the flower crown down beside the rose bush. She felt bad for accidentally ruining the pretty flowers. The petals were crumbled and crushed and it was her fault the girl got startled and didn’t mean to crush them.

Isadora glanced towards the girl that seemed to be skipping towards her a bit too overly excited if one were to ask. Though Isadora had to admit events like the balls always had an air of excitement even when danger lurked in every corner. Isadora felt her body tense. Why was this girl skipping over and excited about a flower crown at that? Why would anyone be excited at Hogwarts in all honesty.

Isadora mentally prepared herself to converse with the girl that seemed to be skipping towards her. It made her nervous. Why would this girl even come towards Isadora in the first place? Though the girl supposed being a loner at a vast ball like this one was not something that would last forever? But she was truly nervous and scared interacting with others was not her strong suit hence why she wrote her thoughts and feelings down in her journal. The young girl didn’t have any friends, not that it was anyone’s fault but her own. She stayed to herself. She was scared mainly because of her curse because of the monster that she is. The monster that dwells dormant inside.

Isadora felt her chest tighten, gripping her chest with her left hand. Isadora looked down at the ground that she was still sitting upon, her eyes drifting to the flower crown that she had worked on. The crumpled petals looked broken like herself. Shivering slightly Isadora felt her breathing pick up slightly as if the sounds around her seemed to echo louder around her clawing at the inside of the girl's brain scratching around like nails on a chalkboard. Even the scents around her seem to slowly become deafening.

Isadora closed her eyes for a second to try and calm her nerves that were slowly racing around her. Her hand gripped tighter to her chest while her right hand gripped the edge of her dress. Her breathing slowly quickened as if it was beginning to be difficult to calm the nerves running rampant inside her.

Trying to slow her breathing, Isadora gently grabbed her flower crown once more, staring at the flower petals. A majority of them looked fine, lively and blooming while a few seemed to crumble when the girl got startled.

Slowly Isadora zoned out just staring at the flowers calming her breathing slowly but surely she felt a bit calmer her mind seemed clear everything was slowly coming together.

That was before a new person appeared out of nowhere and startled the young girl once more.

A yelp escaped Isadora’a lips as she dropped her flower crown in surprise. The young girl fidgeted nervously glancing upwards

In front of the girl stood a young boy who seemed to speak a bit too fast and excitedly for Isadora’s liking her ears were already ringing due to the loudness that seemed to echo around her. The young girl regretted not bringing something to cover her ears. What was worse she seemed to gather attention and it made her uncomfortable. The young girl wished that her cousin would come out of nowhere and whisk away to somewhere that wasn’t surrounded by loud children. Though she was a child herself so she should try and mingle she supposed.

Isadora tried to listen to the boy speak; he seemed cheerfully overly cheerful for someone who was at this dreadful school. Though she couldn’t tell if these students were foreign or from Hogwarts. Hogwarts students after all were a different breed with all the chaos and curses that lurk in the shadows.

Isadora shuddered slightly as she gently picked up the flower crown she had dropped, noticing how it was starting to look a bit limp and crumpled. Isadora frowned, sadly she didn’t want to hurt the flowers but even the girl didn’t understand her strength she supposed.

Isadora glanced upwards towards the boy that introduced himself as Adam was it? He sure was awfully cheerful. It confused the young girl but she was not going to question it nor did she really know what to do. Isadora did not wish to be rude but she also was uncomfortable from the attention she was getting.

Fidgeting slightly Isadora swallowed a lump in her throat feeling her hands grow clammy and sweaty as her heart raced quickly in her chest the ringing of her heartbeat echoed in her ears as she felt sweat drip down the side of her face. Glancing around nervously Isadora started examining the crowds for anyone she knew. Her crystal blue eyes scanned the garden ball area hoping to find her Tantie or even one of her cousins or her Tito anyone who could come and save her from this socializing nightmare that she was enduring.

If anyone was nearby she did not seem to catch a glimpse of them before glancing nervously back at the boy that seemed to be rather cheerful while the other girl slipping towards them seemed to be growing closer. Isadora felt like she was living a nightmare. A nervous whisper escaped her throat as she shuffled on the ground scooting backwards towards the rose bushes her crystal blue eyes seemed a bit wide in nervousness and fear.

What does one do in this situation again? She knew she should not be rude but her senses were overly heightened and her ears seemed to be ringing so bad she was growing nauseous. She really had no clue what to do besides cower in fear near the rose bush. Why was she like this? Isadora had no idea maybe it was the fear that consumed her? Or the monster that lays dormant inside her that comes to life during the full moon? Maybe it was a mixture of the unknown that terrified her? The fear of harming those around her? The nightmares that plagued the girl of the danger that she truly could be. The fear of harming those innocent because of the bloodthirsty monster that she truly was? The curse of Lycanthropy. The curse that was fated to Isadora. The curse that seemed to make the girl cower at her own self. The girl was truly scared of herself of what she could do, the danger that could arise from the monster that she was.

Feeling her heart race faster as her ears rang heavily Isadora felt like she was going to die right then and there around these strangers why exactly? She had no idea. Maybe it was because her senses were truly heightened and because of that it made things a tad worse for the girl. But alas Isadora was doomed to socialize she did not see anyone coming to her rescue anytime soon or at all.

Whoa, look at that sword!" The sound of quiet admiration from the middle distance distracted Cursa. He turned. The older boy in the wolf mask. Cursa examined the lanky figure. He did indeed seem to be carrying an actual sword! Cursa didn't have a sword. He didn't even know where to find a sword. But he knew one thing. He had to have a sword.

"Wicked." Yes. Cursa McCoire's entire life's goal suddenly crystalised in his mind's eye. He would be a wizard that carried an actual sword! He heard another howl. What was it with the wolf theme here at Hogwarts? Did kids just wander around dressed up as wolves? Howling like wolves?

"Oh biscuits," the voice said, closer.

"I wonder," Cursa said to himself. He no longer quite believed what Alex and Angus had to say about Colin...but seeing the boy in the wolf mask gave him pause. "Maybe they were right? Maybe Colin did strut naked around Hogwarts wearing just some wolfy bits? What if ---"

A rustling sound from the nearby shrubbery evolved into scuffing feet right behind Cursa until some kid pressed himself against Cursa's back.

"Wait. What?"

"Don't ask. Just stand there a minute--"

"Oh." It was Casey. "Wait. Why are you hiding and I'm not?"

"Thanks for the quick cover, Red." Casey nudged Cursa's shoulder. "No date as well, eh?"

Cursa sighed. "Nah." He nodded over towards where kids were making flower crowns. "That girl's kind of cute, though. The one with the blue eyes? There's something --- interesting about her. I--- I've just been watching." Cursa shrugged. His attention was caught by some shenanigans further away. "Looks like our Colin is having a grand time!" He laughed. "He's such a goof. But --- how did he manage to get a girl? I mean, you know Emily better than me. Colin is completely --- I don't know. He actually wrote me a letter." Cursa rolled his eyes. "I know he took what you said back at Beauxbatons seriously. He's trying a keep a lid on it, but, I honestly don't know how long he can keep it in! Our Alex and Angus told us all about him howling for his last girlfriend every day in the Great Hall. Honestly, the boy's a menace and needs to be neutered."

Cursa stood up from the bench he'd been occupying. He wanted to talk to the older wolfboy with the sword. "I swear, Cas, one of these days, I'm gonna get a sword like that! That's just soooo cool! Come on!" His eyes were drawn back to the flower crown girl. He nudged Casey's shoulder. "Let's go make a flower crown or two! At least from over there, we can keep a better eye on Colin's shenanigans!"

Walking over towards the table Cursa saw a bunch of kids at work making flower crowns. He'd never made one himself. So he sat down near the brown haired girl with the sparkling blue eyes. Lighter in colour than his own. "Hey," he greeted them with a smile. He caught one of the other kid's eyes. Fellow Horned Serpent. "Hey Dev! Mind if we join?" One of the other girls seemed really tense, though. Like she'd spring up and run away without notice.

Various yeeps and squeaks could be heard from across the garden. Cursa turned to Casey with a smirk. For once it wasn't Colin doing the dragging. He watched as the brown haired girl seemed to tense up at every little thing. He nudged Casey and nodded towards her. She was cute and all, but really kind of twitchy. "What's up with her do you think?" he whispered so that only Casey could hear.

"Honestly, reminds me of Colin. He gets like that around the f--- ahem. Um." Cursa didn't know what Casey knew about Colin. Probably he knew everything. Surely Emily would have mentioned! He shrugged and rolled his eyes. A little louder, he laughed: "You know. That time of the month!"

Cursa watched the pretty girl make her flower crown. He did the same, trying to weave the stems together so the flowers wouldn't all break off. Success was a little more difficult that he had imagined it to be.

He watched as Emily and Colin sat down on one of the benches at last. Well. Emily sat on the bench. Colin kind of crouched. "Check it Cas. Such a wolf that one. Honestly, I don't think the boy can properly sit in a chair. He's always crouching like a dog. You already know about the howling," Cursa went on. "Did you know," Cursa lowered his voice so the other kids at the table would have a hard time hearing; "Alex and Angus told us that he and Colin actually fought one." Cursa made two W shapes with the fingers of either hand. He mouthed the word: WEREWOLF. "I mean. What the fuck? An actual fight with an actual ---" he mouthed the word again WEREWOLF. "Got into loads of trouble, too, according to Alex and Angus," Cursa nodded.

Cursa looked over at the pretty brown haired girl. She really seemed agitated about something. Well, this was England and Hogwarts. Whole place was mad as a hatter. "Hey!" he called over softly. "Are you okay?" He looked up at the nearly full moon. The light of it really caught her hair.

Every season was beautiful in its own way, but Rose had to admit she had a special soft spot for spring. Spring was the season of new beginnings, and of life. The winter was beautiful, but after while it could feel so cold and dark. Rose almost felt like there had been a winter in her heart for over a year now. Especially because she had been holding on to so much anger towards her brother, but she finally let him apologize, and the house seemed (though still inexplicably empty, despite having five people living in it) a good deal more relaxed.

It was a strange feeling to heal. To thaw. To breathe, and to let go. It felt good some days, and some days it made her feel selfish. But she still remembered her sister, but she knew Faith would have wanted her to move on.

And, as surprised as she felt to admit it to herself, Rose really felt... good. She felt happy. Of course, grief and anxiety would overtake her some days, but more days, she would really enjoy her life. Rose didn't think she would ever stop missing her sister, but she was determined to honor her with her life. Faith would have wanted her to laugh, and to have fun, and to say yes when plans were made to go to the ball.

So, in light of her healing, of her allowing herself to have life, and her conversations with her good friend Mylo, Rose did.

They had said that they would meet each other in the Gardens, along with a couple of Mylo's other friends. The redhead walked slowly in the space, a much more serene space than the chatter she could hear pouring out of the Great Hall. She was wearing a dress that made her feel a little bit like a forest princess, with its layers of green and muted pink flowers, which were also in her hair. Her white boots gave her a couple of extra inches, while not being too hard to walk in, especially on the grounds.

The redhead took a look around. The grounds were decorated beautifully, and Rose eyed the tables full of delicious-looking food and drinks. She almost made her way over there to try one of the tantalizing tarts, but she knew all too well the tricks of these events. She had seen people, time and time again, be fooled by how good the food looked, only to find it full of some potion they could only hope was harmless.

So she brushed past the tables piled in glorious food and her eyes landed on Mylo. Mylo and Rose had gone to the last ball together, where they had found that Rose was a dastardly bad murderer. And not "bad" as in evil- "bad" as in she lacked murdering skills. She was supposed to be the hitman of the murder mystery game (with an expertly-hid nerf gun), but if her memory served her right, Rose never managed to actually... "kill" anyone. While she felt bad that the game wasn't too interesting for the participants, she wasn't too phased; killing people wasn't a skill she intended to use ever in her life, though she did find it interesting that she wasn't ever pegged as a suspect.

Anyway, she came up to the young kid, dressed in a costume very fitting for the event. "Mylo!" she said, trying to catch their attention. "I like your costume. Are the others here yet?" she asked.

"The grounds are a lot more chill than the castle," Rose said, though she was pointing out the obvious. "A bit more our speed, I think," she said, her eyes sparkling. Neither of them were exactly... the life of the party. "Do you think you'll end up dancing?" she asked, remembering the dance card in her hand and looking down at it.

Seek another for a dance.

Pretty straightforward, but Rose wasn't about to take orders from a card, nor was she about to just leave Mylo to find someone to dance with. She wondered when the other people he invited would be coming.

Colin's heart sank. He turned away again from Emily. It was so stupid! Not just having the ball the day before full moon, but not allowing kids to go home for Easter holiday a day early! No, of course not! He'd have to be stuck here in that old dump of a shack during full moon, rather than being able to run free at home!

Colin growled.

He didn't mean for Emily to hear it, not after he'd just invited her to come up to McCoire House some time! Ack! He'd been trying hard to stuff the negative emotions down the last couple days. The last person he wanted to lash out at was his girl. His Eyes of Sky! Slowly he turned to face the girl again. She just had this look about her. It was odd really. Some kids, usually Muggleborns, used words he didn't understand. Like when they talked about 'acceptance'. His upbringing had been clear. You respected other people. Even Muggles. They were people too. You loved even your enemies. Didn't mean you stood around and let them crap all over you. No, you bonked them hard if they attacked you, and when the fight was done, well, you did what you could for your injured enemy.

Emily...

Emily was ... more like that. He wasn't sure about 'acceptance'; but Colin was sure about one thing, and that was that Emily loved. Somehow. Even the most broken things. She didn't think he was a monster, after all. She was clear about that, and would brook no argument, least of all from Colin himself! Emily's eyes caught the light of the moon as she asked him if he were joking about the whole wolfsbane thing.

"But... How? When...?" Colin watched Emily's eyes widen. Was there an underlying fear? Probably not... Not his Emmi. She was no Gryffindorque, but she was every bit as brave! "Oh Colin... Oh... Oh my word, Colin!" Somehow telling Emily Shephard was the hardest thing he'd done in his whole life. It had been easy to tell Clair. And Red Charlie and Irina and the Snek Squad. And of course Quinn.

But Emily was different.

Her heart was different. Colin could feel that. He leaned in a little closer to Emily. He wanted to kiss her so badly! But Casey's words came back to him at the last moment. Easy lad! This is not the time! He wondered what was going through Emmi's mind. Colin's heart thumped. It probably didn't have anything to do with kissing! AAAUUUUGGHGHGH!

"And I'll say it again, Colin. You're no beast... You're a boy. A boy first, werewolf second. And no matter what, I'd never see you any differently. You're remarkable! One of my greatest friends! And I hope you know that... I truly do."

His Emmi had a way with words! There was a wisdom there. Not like AngelFyre's --- no, that one, his bestie, she was on another level. One that he was sure never to attain. But Emily's wisdom was different. It arose from the heart and spoke to the heart. It was odd in a way. Talking with Emily like this was strangely like talking with Liam. Colin had never thought a girl could even do this!

"To be with you and the moon would give me upmost pleasure."

Colin let out a deep sigh. He leaned back on his arms, his hands grasping the edge of the stone bench. "That's what I love about you Emmi. You've got a certain way with words. You're just --- like --- it just doesn't matter to you that I'm a mon---" Colin caught himself. She gave him the look. "I mean! It doesn't matter to you that I've got this --- curse. Honestly you're the brave one!"

Suddenly, Colin stood up on the stone bench, looking down at his Eyes of Sky. He smiled. "Emily! I --- I ---" His fists balled again. He fought the urge to just start gushing right there in the middle of the ball.

He crouched down, like a dog, facing Emily. "There are so many things I have to tell you. So many things I need to know about you! I ---" Colin needed to do something! AUGH! Drat that Casey and all his warnings!! Colin let out another breath. No, this wouldn't be the time. He leaned in close to Emmi. The tips of their noses were about a centimetre apart. He looked into the depths of her eyes. He knew what lay behind them. A depth of love that could easily match his own. If he didn't screw everything up! God, how he wanted to kiss Emily Shephard! He wanted to take her up and dance again! He wanted to run with her under the full moon!

Here, sitting before him, was the one girl who, Colin was certain, would let him just be --- Colin.

So Colin did what Colin does.

Colin smiled. A proper smile. Twas a little lopsided because of the scar on the left side of his face. But he was pretty sure that Emmi didn't care about that either. He showed Emily Shephard all four fangs. He closed his pond scum green eyes slowly. He leaned in. Slowly.

He gave Emily a nose doop.

"WOOOO!" Colin's smile widened! Suddenly Colin was filled with energy! Emmi Energy! "Come on Emmi!" Colin looked around. He caught sight of AngelFyre dancing with Simon, and some other kids as well. A ways away, he caught sight of Cursa staring at some girl. Colin chuckled. "Come on Emmi! Let's go make some flower crowns! I want to make one for you, Emmi! A flower crown would look so much more beautiful, if were on your head!"

With that, Colin leaped from the stone bench and grabbed Emily's hand, leading them over towards the flower crown table! He leapt up onto the bench and then settled into a crouch, next to some girl he'd never seen before. He smirked. This must be the one he'd seen Cursa looking at. Colin felt buoyed by Emmi's presence. "Lovely moon tonight, eh friends? Almost full!!" He whipped out his wand and cast a spell: "Wingardium leviosa!" With a swish and a flick, Colin had a bunch of flowers and vines balanced in the air. Hopefully none of them would explode! "Emmi! Look at all the flowers! Owooo!" He found a particularly nice purple one and stuck it in Emily's hair.

Somehow, balls created work. Whether it was designing Reyna's dress or correcting Mylo's make-up, balls seemed to signal a creative opportunity to help her friends. And if anyone had anything to say about it, Mylo looked pretty good in her opinion.

It was with a twirl in her pink gown with the layered sleeves and pointed collar that she was excited to meet them and Avis out at the gardens. She was very grateful for this choice of location; in the fall, the main ballroom had seemed way too overwhelming for Maisie. The gardens, in contrast, seemed like a place where they could talk and just be.

That is except for the dance cards, which had the very clear intention that they should dance. Maisie's dancing ability was limited to traditional ceilidh from school. No doubt the other Scottish students would know this too, but somehow she had a feeling it was not the intended style for a magical ball.

Soon enough though, she would see Mylo—her make-up was unmissable on their face—talking to another, older student. They had mentioned one of their friends would be joining the Ravenclaws, but Maisie really didn't know very much about about her other than she was a Gryffindor and a duellist too, if she was recalling correctly. And if she was, that surely was a great person to meet—her coach's coach!

Gently brushing down the front of her dress to ensure it was clean, she walked over to them. "Hi coach! Glad that eyeshadow didn't smudge yet." she greet them, "And you have to be Mylo's friend. I'm Maisie. And Avis should be around here somewhere." She glanced around for a moment, trying to see if she could locate her best friend. Somehow in trying to arrive here after getting all dressed up, they'd gotten separated. In the meantime, she extended a hand towards Rose, hoping to make a good impression. Besides, she probably knew exactly what you were supposed to do at balls beyond twirling around.

Devon giggled at Luce’s display … knighting her as a potato. It was very cheesy and funny, but she still quite enjoyed it. She made a scene of kneeling at her knighthood, laughing. It must have been quite the sight for the other students milling around. Yet, she never really cared about embarrassing herself. She was a calm girl to begin with, after all. “Why, thank you, Queen Lucy. I’d be honored to be your potato and to go on quests,” she laughed. At Luce’s curtsy, Devon giggled, before performing a formal curtsy of her own.

At the compliment for her flower choice, Devon giggled. “Thanks!” She beamed. “If you can’t tell, I love flowers,” she continued. She laughed that her guess had been wrong, knowing she was never good at guessing games. But who was she to spoil her new friend’s fun? She wanted to come to this ball to make friends, after all, and hopefully dance, too. “An ostrich?” She guessed, laughing again.

A light flush bloomed on Devon’s cheeks as she approached the girl making the flower crown, when she noticed that she startled the girl. That was certainly not her intention! She was naturally energetic and had no issue randomly approaching someone. In this instance, she had two reasons. The flower crown, and she noticed the girl was by herself. While she knew they should be dancing, being alone was lonely. At least, she thought it was. She knew nothing about this girl but hoped she hadn’t bothered her too much.

A boy came over before she could say anything, which further startled the girl. Devon smiled at the boy. “Hi!” She greeted him. “It’s nice to meet you, Adam. My name is Devon Wallen. I’m from Ilvermorny. Feel free to, I don’t mind.” She turned back to the girl. “Hi,” she greeted her at normal volume now. “Is everything alright? I’m sorry if I startled you. Is it okay with you if I make a flower crown, too?” She asked, a friendly smile gracing her cheeks. “Sorry, I saw that you were alone and I wanted to come introduce myself. If you’d rather not socialize, I’ll respect that, I promise. I’d hate to make you uncomfortable,” she placed her right hand to her heart. “Besides, I know I can get loud with more people around.” Giving the girl another calm and friendly smile, she stepped on the heels of her sandals to the closest flower pot. After a moment, she picked red and yellow tulips, lilac, and a few roses. She wanted to be friendly to this girl, but given the situation she got into in the main ball, she didn’t want this girl to start hating her, too.

Devon was curious if this girl would be willing to dance with her. She liked the girl’s dress, frankly admired her blue eyes, and figured that she looked interesting by herself. She made a mental note to ask at some point. If this girl were sensitive to too many people around her, she’d try her best to lead her to a less busy location. It wasn’t her intention to make anyone else feel awkward or uncomfortable around her.

Devon looked up as a boy she recognized as a fellow Horned Serpent came over. “Hi Cursa,” she smiled at him and the boy he was with. “Sure, you can join us,” she replied. She quickly ignored the whispers of Cursa with the other boy, looking over at the blue-eyed girl with a worried expression. She inched closer to her, her green eyes reflecting an invitation to go someplace quieter together. After all, she tried her best to help, especially if she could sense something was wrong.

The group of trio went from three to multiple students surrounding Isadora just to make flower crowns. The young Castelo girl fidgeted slightly, clinging to the edge of her dress as she sat close to the rose bush, feeling the leaves and thorns prickle at her soft skin. Her crystal blue eyes darted back and forth nervously as if she was a feral cat being dragged away from its littermates. Isadora gulped nervously as she fidgeted, glancing down at her slightly crumpled flower crown. It was lovely before she accidentally crushed it.

Nervously Isadora grabbed her crown gently placing it atop of her auburn curls as it rested on top of her blue bandanna. Matching the other flowers that were weaved in her hair. Taking in a deep breath Isadora tried to calm her nerves. It was rather nerve racking being around all these students. Especially since her senses were rather heightened at the moment due to the upcoming full moon.

Isadora felt her stomach twist into knots. The thought of being the monster that she was did not settle well for her honestly it made her rather uneasy and uncomfortable, but she could not allow that to dampen anything for the young girl she just had to get over it after all.

The more students seemed to crowd around to start making flower crowns with the young castelo girl. It was odd she never truly experienced this much attention though it made her nervous beyond comparison. Though socializing she needed to get better at. She just wished these students were not too loud and hyper.

Isadora felt her ears ring loudly reverberating inside her skull. It was as if nobody knew how to control their volume even outside in the vast gorgeous garden.

Shuffling slightly Isadora felt herself jump at the sound of a voice speaking towards her. Glancing to her side, Isadora tilted her head quietly, a bit clueless when this boy had gotten so close to her. Actually who was this boy and why was he close to her in the first place?

Isadora blinked slightly, her crystal blue eyes looked as if she was a deer in headlights. She truly looked like a doe that got lost in the busy streets of London or something. For a second Isadora stayed quite frozen as the boy seemed to speak. She was honestly confused when he even showed up, especially with another boy beside him. Was she so focused on panicking that she did not notice these boys randomly appearing beside her? If that was the case if they were enemies she would have been as good as dead.

Of course she was not sure what all was going on anyways it seemed to get crowded faster than she had imagined.

Hearing the boy's soft voice seemed rather strange. He was being kind? Not that being kind was odd to Isadora; it was just strange for this school. Though the boy did not seem like he was from London due to his accent, she was not one to judge or even jump to conclusions.

Shuffling slightly the young girl glanced downwards at the bottom of her dress fiddling with the edge of her light brown vintage dress. Her auburn baby curls framed her face as she glanced downwards. She was nervous being around so many students. Her ears were truly ringing, it was making the young girl nauseous.

Blinking, Isadora realized she had not responded towards the red haired boy that seemed to have spoken softly towards her. Nervously Isadora continued fidgeting with her dress nodding her head quietly.

“It’s loud ‘ats all.”

Isadora spoke softly, her accent seeming to hold a feathery tone as she seemed to shuffle slightly on the ground adjusting herself. It was rather odd to her why it seemed to be so lively, especially so close to a full moon.

Isadora felt movement beside her flinching slightly the young girl grabbed beside her noticing a boy with pale white hair. The rather loud boy seemed to speak, making Isadora flinch how could anyone truly enjoy the full moon. No it was just her.

The girl had to admit the full moon used to be one of her favorite things to gaze up and watch constantly; now it was just a dreadful reminder of her curse. The beast that awakens inside of her the monster that can tear people apart it was rather dreadful she knew that. Suppose that was why she stayed to herself and why she feared being close to others. It was a constant reminder of what she truly was a monster.

The blonde haired girl that had ended up skipping over seemed to be rather close as she smiled over at Isadora speaking quietly. The young girl tried to listen as she fidgeted slightly. Her mind was whirling at all the voices that seemed to be directed into her direction but she tried to not let it bother her as much.

Hearing the girl speak Isadora nodded shyly, her blue eyes still a bit wide and doe eyed as she fidgeted once more. She did not know what to really say besides nod quietly and fidget a bit more but she was slowly adjusting to all the students surrounding her.

Isadora stayed silent taking in the girls name. It would be rude to not introduce herself would it not? Isadora fidgeted some more, taking in a shaky breath as she held onto her satchel close to her.

“Isadora.”

Isadora spoke rather softly, almost as if she was a mouse scurrying away from a predator as she lowered her head nervously. She truly had no idea why she was interacting with anyone she was truly content on her own. But this was a big step for the timid girl, the only downside for Isadora was how loud this rambunctious group was but that was the adventure she supposed.

Isadora glanced towards Devon noticing her green eyes seemed concerned as if she was trying to mentally convey something to the auburn haired girl but she was not really sure what. After all Isadora was not a mind reader and the most socializing she had were the kids back home and her cousins.

Isadora tried to relax her shoulders that seemed tense as she continued to fiddle with the edge of her dress trying to listen to the calming music of the instruments that’s lulled a sweet melody through the garden seemed to lull her to peace and seemed to help with the ringing that was in the girls ears. Slowly Isadora was trying to calm herself down. After all panicking would not solve anything for her.

Mentioning @AngelFyre McCubbin and @Simon Kincaid
Emily held Colin for some time. In the grand scheme of things, Emily felt like she didn't have enough opportunities to hug Colin like this. He was always bouncing off the walls or even into the walls in some mad haste or another, leaving no room to actually sit and be with him properly. But now here he was, bearing his fluffy hair for all the cheek smooshes as Emily hugged him. Judging by the tension fizzling in his shoulders, he needed this. Emily smiled. She'd hold him forever if it meant he'd feel better in the end.

At the same time she knew he was thinking deeply about something. Something important. It was one of the few times Colin was actually quiet. Then he growled and Emily hugged him harder. "Breathe it out, buddy".

Easier said than done no doubt. Colin was a werewolf, a revelation that still marinated in Emily's head like a thick sauce. The average human had to be careful when it came to stress. But what about a werewolf? How much more stress was Colin forced to endure on top of his human needs? If their positions were switched, Emily would've combusted on the spot - assuming Colin hadn't done it already.

"Courage is also measured by a person's endurance, McCoire," she flung back with a smile. "And it sounds to me you carry everyone's weight and the kitchen sink, let alone your own! You're always thinking about us and not just you. So don't sell yourself short".

She let go and plopped back on the bench. She watched as Colin shifted closer to her, a sigh leaving his lips. "That's what I love about you Emmi. You've got a certain way with words."

Emily shrugged and smiled. "I'm just being honest". Colin continued.

"You're just --- like --- it just doesn't matter to you that I'm a mon---"

Colin was right to catch himself there. Emily's brow creased as she gave him "the look". You know the one. What the ding-dang did I just say??

She smirked when Colin corrected himself. "I mean! It doesn't matter to you that I've got this --- curse".

A 'curse'. A good enough save. "Is that really how you see it? Is that how you see yourself?" Emily still didn't like the undertones of self-depreciation Colin had in his words. Then again, she couldn't assume anything when she nothing about being a werewolf herself for the simple reason that she wasn't one. Emily hummed softly now that she thought on it. "I suppose lycanthropy is still a tedious lifestyle, isn't it?"

Very much a useless question to ask even in rhetoric but it wasn't like Emily could connect with Colin through his lycanthropy any other way. She met his eyes when he crouched to her level. Behind his eyes was full of anticipation and hope. Emily could feel it. There was so much more they both wanted to talk about. Colin wanted to get to know Emily. Emily wanted to know more about him. Both sides of him.

"Whatever you want to say, when you need to... I'll always be here to listen, my friend".

She stiffened when Colin leaned closer. She squeezed her eyes shut at the close proximity. Was he going to--?!

Boop.

A nose doop. She opened her eyes again to see Colin grin proudly. She could see all his fangs stretched out in his smile. She laughed embarrassingly. Had Colin actually-- You know... Then Emily might not have been able to function afterwards. Even after a little sniffer contact, Emily could tell her cheeks were flooding with colour.

No amount of Transfiguration homework could be as complicated as teen romance. Not that Emily felt that strongly about one boy or another. Colin included.

She reciprocated with another scritch behind his ear before quickly getting scared witless by Colin's howl.

"Come on Emmi! Let's go make some flower crowns! I want to make one for you, Emmi! A flower crown would look so much more beautiful, if were on your head!"

"O-Oh sure-- GAK!"

Emily's hand quickly reunited with Colin's as he leapt off the bench like it was a launch pad, bounding over to the flower-making table with a wriggling Emily as she tried to keep up with him. Again. Seriously! There needed to be a countdown or something if Colin was going to keep zooming about like that!

They flew past AngelFyre and Simon, who were looking exceptionally cutsie together.

"HiAngelFyreandSimon!"Emily managed to spill out quickly as Colin dragged her towards the activity table. Colin let her go, leaving Emily slightly disoriented before she regained her balance. Before she knew it, Colin had enchanted flowers to hover above the heads of everyone nearby. She beamed. "So pretty..."

Emily stood in awe when Colin bequeathed her with a flower which he planted behind her ear. A nice purple one. It might've been a type of pansy! Emily loved pansies!

"Oh look!" She pointed to a long string of green plant floating behind him. "I wonder if that's what I think it is..." She went over and with a hop, she plucked it out of the air. Upon feeling its stem, Emily squealed excitedly.

"It is! It's goose-grass!" She took it and pressed it against Colin's front. After a few seconds she let go and giggled, watching it stick to his shirt in a long diagonal line.

"Also known as sticky plant!" she grinned.

Fiddling with her dance card did nothing. But still, Sage allowed her fingers to twist around it ever to slightly, running it up and down her arm. No words to speak came to her mind, she couldn't help but feel out of place.

But the night wasn't about her.

She let an encouraging smile follow the one Brook had given her. Her friend's gaze went downward, and Sage looked up at the sky.

"Do you think it will rain?" she whispered. "Sky looks gray." Her voice seemed more airy than usual, less focused. "They've got some drinks... Would you like to grab some before we head into the actual ball? There's a gazebo over there if we'd like to sit."

Standing there without much to do had never been Sage's favorite hobby. She took the first steps towards the table of food and drinks. The glasses were beautiful, intricate details covering the transparent cup. Sage picked up one of the cups and took a small sip.

She looked around, stopping to pause and look at Brookline. She still looked like she was in pain, sending a wave of hurt throughout Sage. "Hey, Brook, are you okay? Dragging you out here was not my plan... I just wanted to make sure you had a sip of the fun out here. But are you okay? Or at least... has it been getting easier?"

The Garden of Eden Spring Ball 2025
I sigh as I walk towards the garden of Eden. I started searching for Lucy and Devon. Finally I find them. They're by the flowers talking to two other boys. I walk over to them.

"Hi Devon, hi Lucy. Sorry it took me a while to get here. Mikey said he'll be here soon." I smile at the two boys, "Im Bree. What are your guys names?"

I bite my lip as I study my surroundings. I noticed Devon eyeing a girl by us. She looked worried. I consider if I should ask if something is wrong. I start to ask but then a thought comes across my mind. What if it would be rude or make her angry? After all I just met her and I don't want to be rude or nosy. I decide to ask.

I walk towards Devon and ask her quietly, "Is everything okay? You look worried or something. Im not trying to be nosy or anything. I just want to make sure everything's okay."

As I wait for her answer I start wondering if I did the right thing. I hope she doesn't think Im being annoying or being super nosy. Maybe I am and I don't realize it?
