Nervous and Excited
Stair after stair after stair, Victoria climbed and climbed, hoping that she would reach the room for Transfiguration any day now. She had walked this walk through the corridors and up the stairs the day before, trying to find the path to all her classrooms, but somehow it seemed further today. The stairs seemed taller, the halls seemed longer. Honestly and utterly exhausted, the eleven year old hoped that she would get used to this trek very quickly. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Victoria made it to the mahogany doors of her new classroom. Transfiguration was an interesting topic to the girl, and one she may even be thoroughly excited about, had it not been such a distance away from her dorms.
Making her way into the brightly lit room, Victoria found herself taking a seat at a desk that was aligned with other desks to make a semicircle. With no one else in the room, she had picked a spot that was front and center. As she sat there, she began to wonder what the class would be like and who she would meet this year. While the class seemed exciting, she also worried about her grades, as she had heard a rumor that Professor Lian was particularly brutal when it came to giving grades.Reducio@Maya Hunter

Maya was never a big fan of school or schoolwork or homework or well really anything that wasn’t an art class so as she was making her way to transfiguration class she was walking slowly and taking her time trying to figure out what they would be doing in class, she thought she would try and be on time since it was her first class and she should probably show up for it and who knows maybe it would be more fun that muggle schools and lessons but who knows it could just be as boring
She finally found the class and she peered her head around the corner there weren’t many students in the class that Maya could see, she could only see one girl and the teacher wasn’t there yet so she must be early
She sighed and walked inside she decided to sit next to the girl and not on her own table, she was the first one here so she was probably good at this class or wizard study classes so sitting next to her would probably benefit Maya at least that’s what she thought
Maya sat down beside the girl and took out her water, a pencil and her sketch book in case she got bored and wanted to draw but she didn’t say anything to the girl she just sat patiently

As Victoria sat there waiting for class to start, she began looking around the classroom. The room seemed to be somewhat bare, in her opinion, but in a very minimalist way. The more she studied it, the more she realized she liked it. What she hadn’t even realized when she sat down was that there was a number, 6, on her desk, staring her blank in the face. With her birthday being on the 17th, she quite preferred that number, and considered moving, however, just as she was about to stand up, a blonde girl her age entered the room.
Happy to see another face in the class as she was starting to question whether she was in the right place at the right time or not, Victoria stayed put. Eventually the girl sat down right next to her. With a room full of empty desks, the red head thought that it was rather strange that the girl had chosen to sit next to the only other person that was there, however she didn’t mind.
Having nothing else to do at the moment, she watched the girl from the corner of her eye. A sketchbook was taken out, which piqued Victoria’s interest. Perhaps this girl was artistic. Maybe she just wanted to be artistic.
Sitting quietly for a little while longer, Victoria finally decided that the silence was getting awkward. Besides, wouldn’t time go by faster if there was conversation? “I heard she’s a tough grader,” she finally commented, her eyes and chin lifting slightly to indicate that she was talking about the Transfiguration Professor.ReducioInteracting with @Maya Hunter

Maya and the girl sat in silence for a little while until the girl suddenly spoke “I heard she’s a tough grader,” Maya looked up from drawing and turned to face the girl, Maya soon realised she was talking about the transfiguration teacher "I'm definitely failing this class then" she joked with a smile, Maya was terrible at her 'muggle' studies and she was never very good at studying or revising so she probably wasn't going to do well in this class anyway but now she knows the teacher marks harshly there is no chance she will do well
The girl next to her had firey red hair and she was wearing her Hogwarts robes so Maya knew she was a Gryffindor, Maya rarely wore her Hufflepuff robes she usually just wears her own clothes like jeans, a graphic tee, a jacket and sometimes accessories
"I'm Maya" she said introducing herself to the Gryffindor girl next to her it would probably be easier if they knew each others names, bored waiting for the class to start Maya started to look around the classroom it was only Maya and the girl in the class and the class was a little empty but it had many tables and painting hanging up on the walls, each table had ink and the tranfiguration book on the tables, Maya noticed she was sitting on table number 6 she wondered how high up the number goes becase the bigger the number the longer she would have to wait for everyone to come into the class

Victoria giggled at the girls comment as she said she was going to fail the course. It wasn't truly funny, Victoria was just nervous about it herself. "Yeah, you and me both," she replied, pulling out her notebook. If she had any chance of passing this class, she was going to have to take the most detailed notes of all time.
"I'm Victoria," she said finally, introducing herself back to the blonde girl that was sitting next to her. As they sat there, a few more classmates began to trickle in, scattering themselves around the room. Two of the kids seemed to already be best friends and sat directly next to each other, gossiping as school children often do. One boy that came in a bit later used his wand to move a bottle around on a girl's desk, trying to impress her. She will be really impressed when he gets detention for that. These were Victoria's immediate thoughts as she watched the boy. Using magic for any reason without teacher approval was, of course, against school policy.
As all of the sudden chaos was beginning, the red head turned her attention back to her new acquaintance, noticing that she had begun to draw something. "What is that?" she asked the girl, tilting her head to the side as she watched curiously. She had always been interested in drawing, though she was never any good at it. Sorry it’s took me so long to reply I’ve been busy with school
The girl giggled at Maya’s joke which wasn’t entirely a joke since Maya wasn’t very confident in her abilities to actually understand and pass this class and the girl agreed with her sort of joke and she pulled out a notebook
Then the girl introduced herself as Victoria and Maya heard the scuffle of shoes and the door opening and closing so that must mean more students were coming into the class, great that means class would start soon and she would have to listen to the teacher ramble on about gibberish
Maya was ignoring all the other students who were just messing around and showing off their magic, she was in her own little world just daydreaming when the Gryffindor girl, Victoria, who was sitting beside her asked what she was drawing
Maya turned her head slightly to face the girl and then she looked back at her drawing just staring at it for a moment and then she looked back at Victoria “I’m not sure just yet, I just draw what I feel and we’ll see what it turns out like” Maya softly smiled at the girl and continued drawing
She would probably have to at least pretend to listen to the teacher once class began so she didn’t have much longer with her sketch book but that doesn’t mean that Maya won’t still doodle in the corners of her notebook
