It was Easter day and Adam wanted to spread the cheer by giving students chocolate eggs as he passed them by. "Would you like a chocolate egg? I have plenty!" he'd chime with positivity and beamed a smile to whoever took the time to listen to him. After a while of handing out chocolate to students one by one, Adam grew tired of handing out the chocolates so he decided to take a break and head to the great hall. For now he was wandering down the halls of this place and exploring the many paintings, watching as a wizard and an old lady bickered about somthing trivial he laughed at their display and they both turned to him with a nasty glare. Adam stuck out his tongue and wandered off. He found a seat at his house table and picked up an apple. He took a bite out of it as he got up, not wanting to sit down for his meal and instead walk around whilst eating away at the apple.

While he was walking around he was thinking of home, how much he missed his family and his computer. There a whole new world in the virtual reality to play games, watch movies and read interesting stories that can be commonly found in books. Although he expects the wizarding world does not partake in muggle gadgets. As all of his reading material is in a tome of some kind, they were all very boring and he had trouble reading through them as he properly should be able. He unsheathed his wand and looked at it, cherry wood with horned serpent horn as the core. He spun it around in his hand, looking at the intricate design. It was a spiral sort of design and he kind of liked it. Ollivander said it was powerful but difficult to use. So he took up a stance and held up his hand against his chest. He practiced the motions in class he learned but didn't dare cast the spell here. Making a slashing motion he pointed his wand forward. Never at all imagining the spell to come out as he didn't want to accidentally cast it or any spell. Not that he could, just wanted to be careful for the sake of his fellow students and so he didn't get into detention.

Once he was done making a few slashing motions, a few of the students gave him strange looks or some knew exactly what he was doing and scoffed or they were too busy with their food to care. Anyways Adam put away his hand after a few moments and sighed to himself smiling happily. Content with his actions of practicing a spell he learned, he took a bite out of his apple and chewed on it with a grin on his face. He wondered what became of the cores after they were done. He was happy to plant the seeds somewhere on the castle grounds. Maybe he'd get into trouble with that. But maybe not.. It was an idea to investigate. @Luisa Duncan

“Someone said something about chocolate eggs around here?” Luisa asked. “Though honestly that was a bit ago and I did get sidetracked on the way.” she’d wanted to see if she could climb a bit of decoration around the great hall, she hadnt been able to, it was just a bit too slippery “OH hey! You got some good apples over here. All the apples at the Griffendor table are out of reach for me, do you have any peanut butter? Oh well, I can see about getting some later. Hey did i see you practicing magic earlier?” she paused, she was behaving poorly, what would her father say? ‘Duncans don't behave like that’ he’s say ‘it doesn't matter if the other families consider us “one of them” or not we’ll still have the good manners’. The boy’s hand movements were pretty good, but it was a little funny to see someone practicing in the great hall of all places.
“Sorry, I shouldn't talk as much as I do. Bad manners. I'm Luisa, and I apologize for giving you such a barrage of questions.” she hoped she hadn't messed things up with this boy, he seemed kind, anyone who would hand out candies to everyone in school had to be, and she needed a few new friends.

"Why yes! Would you like one?" Adam offered her a chocolate egg. "You got side tracked?" He'd ask. She mentioned apples and he looked over to where they had apples "Would you like me to get you one? it's no problem." He'd chuckle and nod and left her for a moment after she was done talking to go and grab her a bowl of peanut butter."Ah yes, I was. A spell I was practicing was the one with green sparks." he explained to her and tilted his head "Duncan eh?" He'd ask "Oh don't worry, I like it when people talk. It helps me get to know them better, I actually dislike it when people are silent. They become so mysterious and I don't like stepping around bushes to get know people." He'd laugh and smiled positively as he handed her the bowl of peanut butter. "Do you know any spells yet? I've only begun my studies but I'm not able to cast anything yet, maybe it's my own muggle born heritage holding me back but I think I'm getting the hang of things. I'm Adam Boucher, it's nice to meet you Luisa." He'd roll a shoulder and look around at all the students eating and wondered why everyone was sorted into different houses. It created much division among them. "I'm of house slytherin, I hope that isn't a problem for you. Do you know any stories about the houses?"

Luisa smiled as she sat down next to Adam, taking the apple and peanut butter “thanks. Yeah Duncan, its a funny last name, you really dont have to focus on it too much.” she paused taking in what he said “naw its unlikely the muggle born thing is doing anything really, plenty of powerful muggle born wizards out there. My family has been wizards forever but there are plenty of non wizardborn or pureblood folks who are more powerful, or just generally do better in the wizarding world.” she thought for a moment
“Meh, being from Slytherin doesn't really matter too much I think. I mean there's a higher than average number of dark wizards from here, but ambition does that to people sometimes i guess. Stories about the houses? What do you mean? The four founders, the chamber that Harry Potter found, think that one had to do with Salazar… i'm not positive though.” she shrugged. She thought she might remember something her father had taught her in her childhood, but the stories about the houses had seemed a bit irrelevant at the time, all that mattered was being in a group of similar people once you got to school. And for her being where her family had always been.

Adam blew a raspberry and shook his head at her "You're not the one named after a butcher." He'd laugh at her in good spirit. What she said was quite interesting to him. Powerful muggle born wizards and witches, it was quite a thought to think of. Adam wanted to be like them, powerful yet respected among his peers. "My family have never been wizards to my knowledge. I think i'm the first one." he'd beam a smile at her as she didn't have a problem with him being a slytherin. This was great! "Well I hope I don't turn out to be one of those dark wizards, they sound real mean like." He'd nod in confirmation to her as the talk about houses came up. "Yup! I mean the founders, I wonder why they made the animals what they are. I don't see Gryffindor being a lion, I think a hippogriff or a griffin would be a better symbol for the house. But that's just my opinion, it isn't too serious." He'd sigh through his nose. "I've heard of Harry Potter but I don't know much about him, some said he was 'the boy who lived' or whatever that means." Adam wasn't too interested in the stories outside of the houses at the moment. But there was a name that caught his attention Salazar. "Who's Salazar? Is he the founder of Slytherin? Sounds like it'd be fitting if he was. Both have a snake like sound to them.." he'd scratch at his chin curiously thinking it over for a moment "Ah well, this is exciting though, a wizarding school. I never knew magic existed until recently, it's really got me thinking of possibilities for my future. I want to be a healer with magic, tend to wounds, run my own hospital. All that, it's so far away though. I haven't learned any healing spells yet but I imagine they're not in my year." He'd take a breath, hoof that was a lot of talking. "Sorry to ramble on like that, when I get excited I just let it all out at once. "

She thought for a sec “yeah Salazar’s your founder, i think you guys have a snake because of some basilisk he locked up under the school. I'm pretty sure Harry Potter killed that one. Salazar was also a parselmouth, so more snake stuff there. Im not positive thats true, coulda been a completely different reason for choosing that, but awful big coincidence. I have no idea about the others, i mean lions are generally agreed to be brave i suppose.”
Luisa chuckled as Adam talked about being a healer “oh that sounds cool! Im no good with healing, i always wanted to play quidditch or duel for a living, though most likely ill end up a curse breaker, its tradition you know, Duncans are Griffendors and Duncans are curse breakers. Only bit of tradition we hang on to. Apparently our refusal to follow tradition is why everyone else says we are ‘wizardborn’” she leans over and whispers to Adam “we still say we are pureblood, but we have a liberal view of what makes a pureblood,” she finishes up her apple before picking up the chocolate egg “what kinda chocolate is this? Oh never mind, its all good. Anyway, whys it you want to be a healer? It seems such a specialized career”

"Hmmm.." he listened to her in silence as she spoke and his brows raised when she revealed Harry potter Killed a Basilisk. "Wow." He'd say with being impressed by the mention alone. "What's a parselmouth? I can't find that in any of my books. But yeah you're right, Lions are quite brave. They're hunters and seek big prey if I remember correctly." he'd say and nod to her "Quidditch sounds like fun! Dueling is a club I want to get into as well, but I don't think there's any room for me there. Too many people. I'd like to practice dueling, maybe you and I could have a friendly duel for fun someday? I'd like that." He'd wonder what a cursebreaker was but the name probably speaks for itself so he didn't ask this time. "Only if you want to be a cursebreaker, or break the tradition do something more with your life - be the first in your family to open a herbology shop or something. But a cursebreaker sounds like a fun job anyways so I can see the appeal.. Whatever a cursebreaker is, probably to do with breaking curses." he'd chuckle. He'd lend his ear to her and listened. He'd whisper back to her. " I have a view on purebloods and muggle born. Merits are worth more than blood." he'd smile at her after he said this as he leaned back. and spoke up. "It's milk chocolate! Only the sweetest for my peers. Oh I want to be a healer because they're interesting and well needed everywhere you go. After duels or quidditch games, you're gonna want a healer.. I believe in helping people as it's a merit to help others in a meaningful way. Most of all, I want to be relied on for something I believe in. I'd like to do some good with this new life I've been given, a life of magic."

Luisa shrugged “I think parselmouth has something to do with controlling snakes. Not positive. Quidditch is amazing!” she brightened up as she spoke about it “Best game in the world, you have got to come to the next hogwarts game. All of the houses will be playing against each other, i haven't been to a game here, but all the games outside of school i have been to have always had so much energy in the crowd, with everyone so loud and excited! Oh dueling can be the same, people do get excited and have duelers that they like and don't like but nothing like quidditch.
She thought for a moment about Adam’s idea of a herbology shop. Seemed rather… boring, nothing wrong with a quiet life, but that was hardly the kinda thing she would want to have herself, “I hardly have a green thumb” she said “my mom tried teaching me, but i could never get the watering schedules correct, and everything would die off on me in the first week.” she took a big bit out of the chocolate “i suppose thats a good reason as any for becoming a healer. Quidditch players and curse breakers need someone to fix up whatever problems they got their bodies into.”

"Interesting, I wonder how they control snakes." he'd chuckle as she brightened up and spoke more about quidditch. "I've heard about quidditch from some of the other students. There's so many positions to play as. I'll definitely go to the next game with you and cheer on everyone playing." he promised and took a bite out of his own chocolate egg. "We should have a friendly duel if you want, for the sake of fun. I don't know any spells that could hurt, rather just use non harmful spells and make points for each one successfully hit." He'd say the rules of his version of dueling. A safe way to duel without risk of injury. She didn't seem to like his idea about a herbology shop and he sighed with a nod "I thought you might not like that one, ah well. It was just an idea! I don't know the first thing about herbology except watering plants by a schedule like you mentioned." He'd smile and swallow his chocolate as he spoke with a mouthful of it. "Thanks, what is it you want to do with your career?" he'd ask curiously as she didn't quite mention what she wanted to be. He was curious so it got the better of him.

She nodded “I have no idea how they do it. My family have never been parselmouths, if you wanna know more i suggest asking a professor or go find a parselmouth. Quidditch is complicated if your just learning about it now” it had taken her several months to learn the rules as a kid, she wasn't sure she really had all down even now, but she was trying her best “Going together sounds like a blast only… I think the sections are by house, I don't know if we are allowed to go to other houses’ sections. And as for the dueling, that sounds like fun!” she smiled, she had always wanted to duel, it really was too bad she didn't know any spells yet to do it properly, though the sparks spells might do the trick for learning to aim. “We can go down to the dueling room and see about hitting some dummies to start with if you like.”
“Hmm, i mean i suppose i would like to try to be a cursebreaker, i think you asked before what that is, uhm… they usually go get treasure and gold for banks and stuff. Sounds boring but it usually ends with fighting something or disturbing Alfric the twelfth’s tomb or whatever.”
