Stage 40b: Octowho?
Stage 40b: Octowho?
You are not equipped to be dealing with this!
You rush through the halls, you help bring the injured student to Octavius' office, not that you remember his name. The halls are for the most part deserted, the few that are meandering about at this hour are either health nuts out for their morning work out or students seeking an early breakfast. Neither of which would be in the most direct path to the medical wing.
And the choice to go to the Hospital Wing was obvious, you are going to get help from the only person that has any idea what they are doing - @Bessie Barnes, the school nurse. You did not know the middle-aged lady very well, she was just the frumpy old witch that took over for @Dusana Sabo. You thankfully had little need for the nurse, nut you were about to make up for lost time now!
However, when you arrive in the Hospital wing, the space seems to permeate sterility with the faintest smell of burnt cloth. Nobody was there. No 'ailing' students, for good reason or otherwise. No interns scurrying about, and no nurse Barnes. The door was unlocked, the room simply empty.

After several long, dull minutes, a house elf pokes his head into the ward and asks what is the matter. (Light god-modding allowed.)Of relevant note: You have no idea who Octavius is or that he was ever a Professor never mind a nurse at Hogwarts. Bessie is the last person you know of as a Professor.
There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.
Stage 40b: Octowho?
Mellani managed to drag the student to the hospital wing, her arm aching with the strain of pulling a kid from the duel club to the hospital wing. The first thing she noticed was that there was no nurse. Not only that, there were no other students either. The hospital wing was eerily empty. Guess they would just have to wait then.
Mellani was an intern herself, but she needed supervision, and right now, she was in no state to heal this student. Where had Nurse Bessie gone? A while later, a house elf poked his head into the ward and asked what the matter was.
Mellani was quick to reply, "This student's wand backfired and they burnt themself... Could you maybe please help them...?"

Stage 40b: Octowho?

Joseph shook the thought out of his head, turning back to the injured duelist with stubborn determination. Someone needed help. He was not going to get lost in his paranoia and scramble off screaming like a headless chicken. No, his priority was the student in need.
Afterwards...? Doubt flickered across Joseph's face again, as he made a silent vow. He was going to figure out what shenanigans that pesky doll was up to.
Without another thought, the first year joined the older student in hoisting the poor fellow up to the Hospital Wing.
Rubbing at his arms aching from the strain, Joseph eyes widened a fraction to notice that the Hospital Wing seemed unusually empty - no nurse, no interns - nothing, just the eerie silence to accompany them.
Without warning, a head peeked out into the ward. It was a house elf, their eyes glinting with something between curiosity and boredom - Joseph couldn't decide which.
The elf's voice, soft but clear, broke the silence. "What's the matter?"
