Dear Evanore Fairclay,
I'm sorry if my handwriting gets a bit sloppy, I am so excited to get to write to you! It's one thing for sure to have a Quill Pal here at school but you're in a..like.. well completely other world just about! It really is fascinating!
I tried to read up on Illvermorny before sending this letter to you.. the school sounds wonderful! I'm not sure how the curriculum is. I've done fairly well at Hogwarts my first year, so far anyway! Flying sort of sets me on edge if I'm being honest.. that whole up in the air way above the ground and how quickly that could change... gosh I don't know.. What sort of subjects do you like there? I really love our Astronomy class! Although, I'm quite fond of magical creatures in general so that's pretty awesome. Potions is a bit.. well frustrating for me. I'm hoping by my second year I'll have it down! Thankfully I have a friend here who has helped me a lot, he's a year ahead of me.. and rather cute.. ahem anywho!
What about you! Do you like it there? How are the dorms, we get set up by year which is nice. Granted.. I don't have a lot of friends here beyond my year so rooming with them is great. We have had a couple slumber party type things, which I've never had.. my parents are pure-blood and were always super strict with me leaving the house or being around others. I'm learning a ton about Muggles and non-magic stuff through some of my pals. I just got to watch my first movie, pretty cool! Hocus Pocus, do you know it? A lot of the others said it was pretty popular... Sorry I feel like I'm just rambling now.
I'll try to write again soon! Looking forward to your reply! I have to end this here unfortunately, Charms class is starting to fill up and my partner just took a seat next to me. Hope this finds you well!!

It is so nice to hear from you, and I can’t even begin to explain how excited I am to get to know you, as well as some about the british school of witchcraft and wizardry.
I imagine that our time of writing to each other will be all wonderful and fun.
(And don’t worry, your handwriting is all good)
It’s very fun to hear that you’ve been reading up on Ilvermorny as much as you’d been able to. Unfortunately I can’t really say that I have read up too much on Hogwarts in return. I think I was just so excited to learn about it through talking to you. Most of all though, I just want to get to know you. School is school, right?
It’s good that you’ve been finding your footing and doing well your first year, I have been pretty good off myself to be honest. Of course, I’m not talking about my first year, but all my three complete years have been lovely. The first one was definitely the most difficult, but I quickly got into the roll of classes and such. Speaking of classes, my favorites are absolutely Charms and Defense Against the Dark Arts. Basic, perhaps, but simple and nice. I enjoy the simple abilities of lighting up a room, or making something float. And Defense is just a fascinating subject all together.
I also really like magical creatures! Well, really all animals in general. They’re just so interesting, and learing to care for them is very much a fun experience. Are you like, allowed to bring pets into Hogwarts?
I really enjoy the school very much, though, there are definitely times when I wish I was across the seas at Hogwarts, because I’ve heard it’s amazing there. Though, of course, only words from others who heard it from others, so who knows? You probably have an idea, of course. Are things all wondeful and good all the time? You must have some ‘not so great’ situations over there as well right? Things go up and down a lot I guess, but they’re mostly all well and nice, and I am very happy to get to go to Ilvermorny.
I know quite a lot about muggles as well, and the movie you mentioned, well I have definitely heard of it. Can’t say I’ve watched it for myself though. Do you have a favorite movie that you’ve watched, or one you’de really like to watch? Personally, I’m mostly into books, I’d rather sit down with a good book than spend time watching movies.
It was incredibly interesting hearing about your life at Hogwarts, and I am more than excited to hear more in future letters.
