Pinging you now! That's so cool that you are learning 6 languages! For fun I am also learning Welsh, Russian, Irish, and German. Though I do Spanish for school credit. (The main languages I'm learning at the moment are Welsh and Spanish since they're the most interesting at the moment).

Thanks! Av lore has been pretty sad lately, but it will hopefully be a little better over the spring break since Av and Dylan are going to be visiting their grandfather!

I wrote another poem! ^^ (It also might be reminiscent of a certain something for a certain someone...!)

Darkest Night

My eyes are open. I’m awake. I’m sure of it.
But I still cannot see past this abyssal tunnel,
surrounded by the black as it rotates around me.

Frozen in time but no cold to grace my shell,
suspended in the air with no ground to touch,
unable to swim forward or fall backwards.

My cage with no bars sends me in circles,
the tethers of my mistakes tightening their
grip with every second that passes by.

Swallowed deeper into the pit where the sun
doesn’t shine, where stars are never born.
Only where the wicked is kept to fester.

The whispers of temptation loud enough
to screech into my ears, taunting until
they etch their words into my skull.

There’s no denying what I’ve become.
A vessel of bad decisions and addiction,
never to rise above the surface. Forsaken.

Kept in the dark, I must be.
Kept from freedom, I must be.
Darkest night this will forever be.
