A Potion Predicament
@Stelle MimsPotions was a standard thing for the common witch… this was supposed to come naturally, and for her classmates it seemed like it did… for Agnès however-
'Bezoar…. Bezoar…. What heck’s a bezoar?' she looks around the room at her classmates… but they were doing exactly as they were told, already plopping their bezoars in. She felt her heart rate spike… she looked at one of the other ingredients… hoping that perhaps she’d gotten her guess right… maybe a pinch of this wouldn’t hurt…?
She glanced behind her, hoping the professor was nowhere near her before she hovered over the cauldron…. Her stomach felt like it dropped to her toes.
'is it supposed to be that color.. or that angry..?' her nerves felt as though they were on fire… why now?why here? She could taste the ink on the quill… the parchment that’d be sent to her parents, telling them how much she’d failed them….. how she’d be the only person in her family to fail school… she pulls the cauldron slightly closer… shielding her result away from whoever would draw near… envying the smiles of the students who’d done it right the first time.. meanwhile she was on her way to a wand-snap… or so she thought…
A Potion Predicament
Stelle mixed the ingredients for her potion with the calmness of a monk. Potions wasn't one of her favorite subjects, but at least it was practical, which made it more tolerable than others (like History of Magic). She watched as her mixture took on the right color and let out a small sigh, pleased to have finished without incident; she wasn't in the mood to be covered in stench. Around her, the class was proceeding normally: some cauldrons were bubbling menacingly, other classmates were gossiping among themselves, and the professor was moving from table to table with a stern expression, as if he could spot any mistakes just by looking at them. Stelle didn't need to look far to know who was struggling and who was more experienced or actually enjoying the subject.₊⁺⋆ Date: March 31th, 2025| Number of words: 487| Dialogue: #aa5713 ⋆⁺₊
It was at that moment that she noticed a Slytherin girl who seemed to be facing a werewolf. She didn't recognize her, only by sight, but even from that distance, she could tell something wasn't right. Her cauldron wasn't the color it should have been, and she herself seemed on the verge of panic. Clutching her table as if that would stabilize the disaster threatening to spill out of her cauldron, she hesitated for a moment. She didn't want the stranger's disaster to end up on her. But then she dropped her wooden spoon, feeling as if her mother were tugging at her ear while scolding her, and approached with silent steps.
—Hey—.she whispered as she leaned slightly toward the flustered girl, trying not to startle her.—That's not a bezoar you have there—.
She discreetly pointed out the incorrect ingredient the girl had picked, noticing the tension in her face. For a moment, she thought perhaps the other girl would tell her to back off, that she had everything under control. But she clearly didn't, and she felt that helping her might cheer them both up. [color=#aa5713—If you throw it in, your cauldron will bubble up and, with a little bad luck, explode and stink up your hair—.[/color] she added with a slight smile, trying to make light of the situation. —Here, take it.—.
With a swift motion, she slid a bezoar toward her desk, making sure no one else noticed. Then she straightened, smoothing her hair back with a delicate motion.
—It's not that complicated once you get the hang of it—. she said softly, almost like a secret she didn't want to share. —You just have to look around and pay attention—.
She waited a second to see if she would react, still not moving at all. She didn't want to make her feel worse than she already seemed to, but she also wasn't going to stand by while the other girl went into meltdown over a simple Potions lesson. She took a deep breath and gave her a soft smile, hoping that would help; it always worked with others.

A Potion Predicament
Katy was sitting on one of the green plush, comfortable sofas in the Slytherin common room. She was thinking of what kind of potion she wanted to invent for her potions homework. Quill in hand, she took down some notes on a fresh new sheet of parchment. She wanted something that would give her more power but with safety in mind. She simply called it Power.
Katy thought this would be an interesting potion recipe to try. She ran off to the potions classroom to try it out with hopes of not blowing up the room.

First, fill the cauldron with water. Then heat the water to a boil. Add the Unicorn Hair and Dragon Heartstring and Mandrake Root. Mix them slowly for 3 mintues. The color should be a light purple. Next, sprinkle the Lionfish spines. The fragrance similar to freshly picked gooseberries should be in the air. Add some cold water to the mixture. After that, add the whole thimble full of Billywig Sting Slime. The color should now be a deep pink. Finally, stir in the Essence of Dittany. It should taste as sweet as sugar quills.
Power:
-1 cauldron
-flame to heat up the ingredients
-water
-a single strand of Unicorn Hair: to amplify the other ingredients
-ground Dragon Heartstring
-a fully mature Mandrake Root: to boost effects, and enhancing vitality and magical fortitude
- a thimble of Billywig Sting Slime: to add a spark of energy and quickness to a potion
-powdered Lionfish Spines: to enhance focus and determination
-concentrated Essence of Dittany: to amplify the effects
