Innocent little pranks

The Great Hall was eerily silent at this time, its ceilings echoed nothing aside from the occasional furniture creaking.
Among the silence and the dark of the night, it would surely be difficult to see a small girl like Anna moving quickly with a handful of wizard crackers in hand, putting them carefully near every House table. She wasn't sure if this would work, but surely anyone who cooked the food and served it on the tables would be in too much of a hurry and too tired to notice a single bowl holding an innocent little cracker, right? She hoped so.
Most students were asleep, and the portraits were either snoring or too sleepy to care. Still, Anna could not take any risks: she was wearing socks to avoid noise, and dark clothes to blend in the dark. She'd be back in her common room before anyone knew it, and hoped the portraits weren't tattletales. She even decided not to bring her beloved little plushy, Aoibheann, with her, because she couldn't afford to drop him and getting identified through her plushy, or being otherwise slowed down by him. It made her feel a little guilty, but she'd apologize to him later and explain how everything went to all the other plushies so none of them would feel curious or left out.
Finally, Anna wiped her hands on her nightgown, giving the Ravenclaw table one last approving nod. "Well, it's not like I'm doing something that's actually bad.", Anna thought. She was done there, so she got ready to leave. No problem, right? "After all, it's just an innocent little prank."

I'm sorry for taking so long to begin the thread! I hope you like it.
Innocent little pranks
Mikey couldn't sleep. It didn't happen to often but when it did it was useless to try and fight it. He decided to try and head to the common room and walk around or maybe reed a book until sleep took him both both attempts ended in failure. Back at home he would walk to the park and clear his head but here there was a curfew and he didn't want to get in trouble. Actually he thought, he didn't want to get caught. He smirked threw his robe on and headed out of the common room. Being as carful as he could to not make noise he worked his way down the tower. As he was sneaking past the great hall he saw movement out of the corner of his eye.

He pushed himself against the wall so he could still peek around the corner in to the massive room. There was definitely some one or something moving inside but he didn't think it was any of his professors. he looked down at the state of his dress and sighed. Pajamas and his school robe is not the best look for confronting anyone he thought. The figure seemed to move from table to table and then it stopped abruptly. Mikey was torn on what to do. His curiosity was pulling him to find out who this person (If it was a person at all) was. He decided to walk in to the great hall standing on his tiptoes to seem taller and in his deepest voice quietly said "Your up late."
Innocent little pranks
Anna had cleaned her hands on her nightgown, and was ready to leave the Great Hall, go straight to her dormroom, and have a letter ready to send at morning to her mother, Bethany; the one who had suggested this mischief in the first place, claiming it'd be good for Anna to not be a goody-two-shoes and actually have fun for once. The hufflepuff took a long breath; the Great Hall, usually so noisy and crowded, was now empty, making it much more enjoyable to Anna's point of view. It was quiet too... Up until a voice suddenly spoke; the deepest voice an 11 years old could make.
"You're up late."
It was low, probably meant to sound intimidating. As intimidating as a kid could try to sound. Anna suddenly stiffened and froze, her muscles twitching in. She took a breath and turned around, her heartbeat accelerating, her mind working extra to find herself an excuse in case she had been caught by a teacher.
But then, in the dark, her eyes instead met the sight of a boy in pajamas and school robes standing at the entrance. A bit taller than she was, so maybe he's older than her...?
—...And aren't you doing the same?
She took a few seconds to answer, and slid away from the Ravenclaw desk, which was easier when her socks were not creating friction with the floor, or noise. The hufflepuff had her hands clasped behind her back, shifting her hips slightly to the left, looking at that figure with intent.
—Well? Are you going to be a tattletale and tell on me?
Anna didn't quite know what had come over her to act with such bravery when she should be panicking for risking losing house points. She may have just found a bit of courage within herself in this night.

Innocent little pranks
Mikey's attempt at looking like a professor or older student by standing on his tip toes and making his voice deeper seemed to fall flat. He thought he might have tricked them for a second but the ruse was up as soon as they turned around. Their eyes and Mikey realized that the dark figure he had been observing was a young girl. She looked to be another first year like him but not someone he had ever talked to before. He may have been able to recognize her at another time but the darkness made it too hard to see her features clearly.

"And aren't you doing the same?" She said to him kicking his brain in to gear and making him realize the gravity of the situation. They were both out past curfew and both at risk of getting in to trouble. He had grown to comfortable thinking he cold just go for a night walk around the school whenever he wanted. The girl slid away from the table silently. It was honestly impressive how quietly she was able to move across the floor. "Well? Are you going to be a tattletale and tell on me?" She asked

Tattletale? Mikey thought. He had never ratted anyone out in his life and intended to keep it that way. He did however decide that he could use this as leverage to find out what exactly was going on down here. "That depends" he replied. "Are you going to tell me what you are doing down here in the middle of the night?"

Anna paid attention at the boy talking to her. It was impossible to distinguish his features due to the darkness, so she couldn't tell anything about him aside from his height, which she had already noticed. "A pity I can't see him,", she thought, "that way I won't know how to target if he really does tattle on me..."
—That depends.
The hufflepuff let a sly grin play at her lips.
—Are you going to scold me if I tell you... That I was doing something mischievous?
But right after saying that, Anna realized that if she kept acting this playful, he could lose his patience and tell a teacher. But the same could happen if she told him she was putting mouth-gluing crackers on people's food.
Still, she chose to tell him the truth. With luck, maybe he could decide to help her...? She hoped so, but pretended to not be worried about his reaction.
—... I'm putting wizard crackers on tables of each house. One wizard cracker for each table.
The black haired girl crossed her arms, looking at him keenly. She didn't know him, so she couldn't know what would he choose to do... What a terrible situation to end up in.
—Is that reason enough for you to tell on me?

Mikey worked his eyes trying to see her better in the dark. He was pretty sure he saw the hint of a smile on her face through the darkness. "That depends" she said. "Are you going to scold me if I tell you... That I was doing something mischievous?" That gave Mikey an interesting thought. He wasn't quite sure if he had ever scolded someone before or even how one went about it. Sure he had been scolded plenty of times but being scolded and scolding seemed like two different skills. He decided he had better stick to what he knows in this situation and join the side of the scolded.

Before he was able to respond the girl informed him that she was putting wizard crackers on the tables of each house and asked "Is that reason enough for you to tell on me?" Mikey appreciated the honesty and had a feeling of building comradery. He did enjoy a good prank, especially being on the giving end of them. What's the worst that could happen from this besides a bit of fun?

"I'm Mikey and I wont tell." He said sticking out his hand for a shake. "What's your name? And what are wizard crackers?" he asked a bit ashamed from his muggle upbringing.

Anna held her breath while waiting him to answer. He seemed to give it a moment's thought, before saying his name and announcing he wouldn't tell on her. The black haired sighed in relief, knowing she'd be able to see the prank playing out this morning. If nobody noticed the wizard crackers there, that is, though she doubted anyone would.
When he sticked out his hand, she looked at it a few second before shaking it, and made an exquisite curtsy afterwards. It was the way Anna was taught to introduce herself to any person, and she's been doing that since she was seven. She thought it looked quite fancy, too... Although the boy who introduced himself as Mikey would likely be unable to see much of it, given it was very dark.
—My name is Anna Blackberry, daughter of Jacob Blackberry and Bethany Blackberry. I'm a hufflepuff, in the first year of Hogwarts.
Mikey seemed curious about wizard crackers, and although it was common knowledge for wizards, she could sympathize with not knowing what something like that was. Having been sheltered from a young age, Anna, too, didn't know what wizard crackers were, provided she had never gone to a joke store to see anything like that.
—... About those crackers... Well, they are like normal crackers, but these ones...
Despite knowing he couldn't see much besides her outline (and barely even that), she subconsciously pointed to the Gryffindor table, where she had put the first wizard crackers.
—...Are enchanted to glue the mouth of whoever eats them, for a short while.
She suppressed a little chuckle of pride. It was the first time she was doing a mischief like that in the school, and she couldn't help feeling excited; especially when she happened to meet a boy that might just be an amazing company for a situation like this.

"That sounds hilarious!" Mikey said louder than he intended. "Sorry." He whispered apologizing for his loud outburst. He really liked the idea of pranking the other students with something innocent like the wizard crackers. His cousin back home would prank people all the time but his pranks were always more mean and cruel. It had temporarily made Mikey not want to join in on these types of things but the idea of a prank that was silly and fun seemed right up Mikey's alley.

He broke from his musings and looked toward the girl again. Not wanting to end up in an awkward silence he took one step closer to the girl trying to make out more of her features in the dimly lit great hall. His trepidations about getting caught were slowly turning into excitement about pranking the students at breakfast. "Need any help with the crackers?" Mikey was not sure if she did or not, she could already be done as far as he knew but it was hard to pass up the opportunity. Whether she needed help or not he was excited to see the faces of the students who ate the crackers and what the reaction of the rest of the school would be.

When the boy walked closer to Anna, he could see, more closely, her blue eyes and the outline of her curly black hair. She, too, could see him better now, taking notice of his short brown hair and bright blue eyes. He seemed willing to help her with her little prank, but...
—I already finished putting the crackers on the tables, so you can't help me.
It felt a little painful for the hufflepuff to reject his help, especially when it was related to something so fun. But then, an idea popped up in her mind.
—But, maybe... Maybe we could plan another prank, and set it up together!
She inadvertently began to talk a little louder, an habit she inevitably began to do when she got excited.
—Since we're two, it could be more elaborate... We could do something funnier!
At last, she noticed her loud tone, no different from how Mikey had began talking louder just a few seconds ago. She immediately covered her mouth, as if that would revert her loudness.
—...Oops.
She began to whisper again, still excited for the idea of a prank partner. Bethany, Anna's mother, always talked about how her old friends in Hogwarts used to help her doing the greatest pranks, and how they never got caught. The idea of Anna, too, having friends like that was more than thrilling.
—...But, would you do a prank with me next? Since you couldn't do it this time?

Sorry for taking so long, this week has been crazy for me.
Innocent little pranks
Mikey grinned, a spark of excitement lighting up his tired eyes. He hadn't realized just how much he missed having someone to get into a little harmless trouble with. Back home, it had mostly been him and his cousin but like he thought earlier, his cousin’s pranks always leaned more toward mean than funny. This, though? This was the good kind of trouble.

"I'd definitely like do a prank with you," he whispered back, trying to keep his voice down but feeling the same bubbling excitement Anna had shown. He shoved his hands into the pockets of his robe, rocking back on his heels slightly, thinking. Mikey realized with a start that it must be getting close to morning and they should really get back to their common rooms.

He turned around on the spot and whispered once more "Meet me in the library before dinner tomorrow ok?" He didn't wait for a response before he began quietly jogging away back towards the Ravenclaw common room still determined to not get caught. As he turned the corner up the stairs to the Ravenclaw tower a small grin crossed his lips. He was excited to see where all this would lead and what the future would hold.
