With the crisp winter season slowly coming to a close. The grounds of Castelobruxo were calm and serene. The cover of the rainforest left a vibrant life of plants thriving. The scent of faint raindrops lingered in the air while the damp school grounds seemed to revive the soil beneath it.

The crashing of the nearby waterfall echoed around the vast school grounds. The faint scent of the fresh scent of fresh blossoming flowers that lingered. The wafting scent of the humid air lingered in the air calmly. The humming of the nearby wildlife vibrated through the humid air. The school grounds seemed slightly lively with the small amount of morning foot traffic. With the upcoming visit to Hogwarts slowly approaching, the corner once again seemed to hold a mixture of excitement for some and a sense of dread for others after the previous trip during the fall season.

As many students wandered about preparing for their departure that was soon approaching. A young girl sat underneath a vast orchid tree with its efflorescence of newly formed flowers. The young girl had her auburn curly locks pulled up in a high ponytail, with her signature bandanna wrapped around her forehead, with a few wild flowers tucked underneath gently, a few colorful seashells dangled from the ends of the bandanna swaying in the gentle breeze behind the girl, along with a few loose baby hairs curling in little ringlets resting gently on her soft high bone cheeks. The sunlight shining down through the cracks of the orchid illuminates the young girl's golden tan skin giving herself a slight glow. Her crystal-like blue eyes were focused on the old leather bound journal that rested openly in her lap.

The scent of old worn down paper lingered around the girl along with the fresh scent of ink emanating from the girl's quill. The scratching of the quill against the paper sent a calmly aura around her as she felt lost in thought. A soft hollow look in her crystal like eyes as a small frown rested on her soft oval shaped face. Her frail fingers gripped the quill gently as she thought for a second staring at the blank pages in front of her.

The soft buzzing of the school grounds insects vibrated around the young girl as she seemed to focus on the blank journal pages, a slight frown forming on her lips. Her mind was a jumble of thoughts. The feeling of loneliness seemed to slowly consume the young girl. This vast school seemed slightly lonely; she had no friends to speak to or even confide in.

With the gentle humid air brushing past Isadora’s face making the loose baby hair’s dance about in her eye sight as the young girl kept her attention firmly on her journal.

Her thoughts were jumbled as her hand seemed to tremble slightly, feeling the rush anxiety beating in her chest. The palm of her hands slowly started to sweat as she frowned trying to think of what to write. The old leather journal was a gift from her Muma to try and help ease Isadora into school life after the expulsion of her cousin. Without Alphonse Isadora felt rather lonely and even more miserable at this vast school. Though the nature was serene and everything about Castelobruxo was not overly awful it was a lonely sight for the young girl being alone in a place that was still unfamiliar to her.

A soft airy sigh escaped Isadora’s lips as she continued to focus on the empty pages frowning, tapping the tip of the quill on the top right hand corner as her mind seemed to spin. What to write? What should be written? Would writing her feelings actually truly help edge this anxiety and loneliness?

Sighing heavily once again Isadora glanced up at the orchid tree standing tall above her head as she thought to herself quietly watching the soft flowers slowly blossoming. Closing her crystal ocean blue eyes Isadora listened to the gentle breeze of the rainforest surroundings the sound of the waterfall seemed to echo from a distance the cries of the exotic birds sang melodies loud and clear while the chirping of the insects that resided near the school could be heard performing a symphony. A calm seemed to wash over Isadora as she listened to the sounds of nature to ease her troubling thoughts.

Opening her eyes Isadora glanced down at the journal in her lap as she slowly began to write.

Dear Diary,
Where do I begin? So many things seem to be troubling my mind these days. Though I wish I truly knew why. School has not been easy after the absence of Al. Classes have been well though. I keep to myself now a days it is much easier being cursed and all. Still adjusting to this curse has been troubling. Some days are easy while others it feels like my head is splitting the sounds of people’s voices sounding like nails on chalk boards. Or the whispers of those who can tell one’s strange with their gossip of hate. Truly wish I was back home with Muma and Maman. Though I can not necessarily say I hate school. But questioning their sanity as it is nearing the time to go back to Hogwarts for the Spring ball has my mind questioning everything. After all, it was recently during the Fall ball when tragedy struck. How could one forget the explosions were loud and deafening the smell of smoke and other things were awful. It was blurry honestly, Tito went to go help and find Tití while Al ran off along with Briar. The events are still a blur as things move rather quickly. But now life seems to be steadily going back to normal besides the fact that the trip to Hogwarts is eerily getting closer and closer. Part of me seems excited and thrilled. I can see my family for a bit and feel less alone in this world, but the other part is cautious. Hogwarts seems to be a bit mysterious where things are hidden and anything could happen at any moment. What truly is hidden at this school? I can not dwell on those thoughts. They won’t do me any good. I must focus on trying to be normal I suppose. Normal as one can be. As normal as a cursed beast can be. Maybe that is the true reason for my sorrows. The curse that shackles my mind and soul. The curse that can harm others it’s truly scary what it can do and yet. A part of me has come to terms with it. Maybe that is why I chose to avoid others and stay silent and in the background. After all, who could ever love a monster?

A soft orchid flower drifted down falling atop of the journal pages, drawing the young girl from her thoughts. Gazing upwards Isadora stared up at the orchid tree watching the branches sway as the scent of the freshly blossoming flowers lingered sweetly around her. Closing her eyes slightly she listened quietly to her surroundings, the footsteps of others echoing around the school campus while the rainforest sang it's mixed symphony. Sighing softly Isadora glanced down gently picking up the orchid flower placing it atop of her bandanna resting next to a few other flowers that seemed to decorate the bandanna.

Closing her journal softly Isadora stood up dusting off her uniform. Her crystal blue eyes gazing upwards as she hummed softly. Her mind seemed slightly clearer after writing down her jumble of thoughts. Life will get better. She knew that. Even for someone who seemed to be cursed by the monster that dwelled within her.

Gathering her things Isadora began to make her trek to her classes after all the time was getting closer to where the school will be leaving to head to Hogwarts for yet another adventure either it be a grand adventure or an adventure of sorrow was one that she never truly knew. But it was something she will learn as the time grew closer and nearer to the fate that awaits those around her.
