Mixing the Houses
Plot of the Roleplay:
So, of course, the students within Hogwarts are going to make friends with those in other houses, or maybe they just want an empty seat away from others, where it is not crowded. Not many students sit here, in fear of being picked on or they just felt self conscious. This table holds all of the houses, combined, for all meals or meetings within the Great Hall.
Eva Grey was a first year Slytherin, not really fitting in with the others in her house. The Slytherins seemed to have already made friends with one another, and seated together in groups of three to four, sitting beside or in front of eachother, gossiping.
The red head pushed her bangs out of her face, before walking to a seemingly empty table. She set a few of her books down, before seating herself down. Almost instantaneously, food showed up on the table, as if her sitting down had activated something. She stared, wide eyed, frozen for a few seconds. She regained composure rather quickly, before moving her books away a bit, not wanting to get food on them.
Reaching forward, she started putting some food on her plate, as she was a bit hungry that morning. She grabbed some ham, as well as some tarts and pumpkin juice. She took small bites out of the honey-roasted ham, as she took one of her books out, and began reading it, whispering it out loud to herself, trying to work on the homework she was suposed to finish the previous night. The topic was of charms, so she was struggling a tad bit, not exactly being able to remember the lesson from the day before. She blamed her procrastination for putting her in such a situation, not wanting to take the blame all to herself.
She gave up after five minutes, putting her homework into her book, using it as a bookmark for now, as she continued to eat, just a bit faster now that she was not preoccupied by her homework. She just focused on her food and eating it.

Dorothy timidly stepped into the great hall. A beaming smile glowed on her lips because she was delighted to see the people around her; Dorothy loved people. The only trouble was, she wasn't sure how to jump in and make friends when there were so many students. A red blush began to creep over her freckled cheeks as she stood at the entrance, unsure of where she was to sit.
As she scanned the crowd, her eyes locked onto a redheaded Slytherin sitting by herself. Aha! She thought, and made a beeline for the girl. Dorothy always tried to find the people sitting alone or the people looking weary or sad. She had always had a sense of responsibility for anyone who didn't feel comfortable or at home. Sometimes people just wanted to be alone, but Dorothy's extroverted self still did not quite grasp that concept.
She plopped herself next to the girl and grinned a dopey grin at her. Dorothy's glasses slipped over her freckled nose a tad, and she pushed them back up.
"Hello, there," She said softly, the blush still settled on her face. "Do you mind if I join you? Are you working on homework? Wow, your eyes are absolutely lovely!" She spewed out chaotically. The excitement of making a new friend made her wildly chatty and enthused.

Maya wandered into the Great Hall, she hadn’t really made any new friends with people in her house or any house for that matter so she wasn’t sure where to sit and eat, Maya slowly walked in the Great Hall her eyes scanning across each table hoping to see a familiar face she had possibly seem around or even just an empty seat she could squeeze into but most people had big groups of friends and we’re all laughing and talking together
Maya then spotted a table with just two other girls on it she decided to go and sit with them after all two people are easier to talk to then more than that, she made her way over and noticed one girl a red headed Slytherin was sitting down she already had food on her plate and had books beside her and the second girl a darker haired girl with glasses who was also a Slytherin was stood up next to the red headed girl
Maya just sat down opposite the two girls she hadn’t seen anyone else around and she just assumed that nobody else was sitting there “Is it okay if I join you two there aren’t many other seats and everyone already has big groups of friends” she asked just incase they didn’t want anybody else to join their table

The red head looked up, hearing another's voice. She tensed up, and instantly put her books away, huffing. But, as soon as she went to say something to the other Slytherin, a Hufflepuff walked up to the table, asking for permission to sit. She looked at the Hufflepuff,and just nodded.
"Sure. There are tons of seats, anyways. One, or two, people are not gonna mess with anything. Nobody sits here, anyways."
She fixed her hair, running her fingers through the ends, befire going back to eating. But, just then, a question popped up in her head. She quickly tried to chew, then swallow down the food.
"Wait, did you just compliment my eyes?" she eyed the other Slytherin, confused. "They are just a simple green. I would understand the compliment if they were blue or chestnut brown, but they are just an emerald green."
Now that the compliment was processed, she refused to look at either of the two, slightly flushed. A red tint formed on her cheeks, not used to any form of kindness. She pushed her food away, not very much hungry anymore. She hid her face in her arm, wanting to hide the blush, which was forming on her cheeks, before they spotted it.

The redheaded girl put her books away and nodded in agreement to Maya joining them at the table, Maya grabbed some food and put it on her plate
The redhead Slytherin ran her fingers through her hair fixing it and she started eating her food but then she seemed to realise something and asked the other Slytherin girl a question apparently before Maya had arrived the girl had complimented the other girls eyes
The redhead seemed to be made shy by this comment as she blushed and pushed her food away and hiding her face in her arm probably trying to hide the blush creeping onto her cheeks but it was a little too late Maya had already spotted her blushing but she wasn’t going to say anything that would make her blush anymore
Maya wondered if the two girls knew each other previously to this day and seating arrangement maybe the two girls were friends but then again if they were why would the girl blush from a compliment
“So are you two in the first year too?” Maya asked trying to change the subject since the Slytherin seemed embarrassed
She looked at the two Slytherin girls and wiped her hands on one of the cloths on the table, Maya then held out her hand to the girls “I’m Maya” she smiled sweetly trying to be friendly
