With anticipation coursing through her, Novalie swayed back and forth while sitting on the sill of one of the large windows overlooking the courtyard. Her legs were hanging down, kicking aimlessly into the air. A cool breeze danced around her nose, ushering in the distant smell of rain, but her mind was solely focused on one thought alone: Being bitten by a Dhampir. This thought had first drifted into her mind as a passing whim, but once it had taken root, it spiraled into something far more consuming. From that moment on, it became her goal. The Ravenclaw had of course started to ask around, prodding friends and acquaintances in an attempt to sniff out any potential Dhampirs within the castle’s walls. For a brief second, she had even suspected Eric, as cool as he was - because after all, Dhampirs had to be at least as mysterious as him, right? But alas, her search yielded nothing but dead ends. How difficult could it possibly be to find a Dhampir at Hogwarts? Novalie had already encountered a few other magical beings! But the redhead persisted, and after about a month of increased numbers of raised eyebrows directed her way, she was finally in luck. One name stood out in all of the chatter - apparantly a girl who, according to some sources, might just be what Novalie was looking for. Hikari Takahashi. The Metamorph didn’t have any classes with her, so she had to do a little background digging where she had found out that the Dhampir was a Hufflepuff with blonde hair and a beauty mark under her left eye, which were the main details Novalie was holding onto now as she waited in the courtyard. Above, the sky was already heavy with dark clouds, the sound of thunder rumbling softly in the distance and the scent of rain thickened even more, though the heavens had yet to break. Wasn’t it the perfect day for a Dhampir to roam? If they were sensitive to sunlight and all, then this had to be their prime hour or something. However, as the minutes stretched, Novalie’s patience began to wear thin. Her rocking grew more dramatic until she finally huffed, leapt down and looked around the courtyard again. If she couldn’t find Hikari here, she would just have to wait at the entrance to the Hufflepuff common room later. One way or another, Novalie was going to cross paths with her! To keep herself somewhat entertained, she threw herself into a series of bridge kickovers, not minding the looks of the few students passing by. She felt the first few raindrops falling onto her skin as she flipped, and just as she landed lightly on her feet, her eyes locked onto a figure walking in the distance. Blonde hair. Beauty mark below the left eye. Could it be-?! Excitement flared in Novalie’s chest, and before anything, she rushed forward to cut the girl off in her path. Without hesitation, she had skidded to a stop right in front of her. "Are you Hikari?", the Ravenclaw asked, her smile wide, "You're a Dhampir, right? Can you do me a favor?" Not considering that her actions might be a bit overwhelming, Novalie tilted her head and sweeped the red locks to one side to fully show her neck. She pointed at it with an expectant grin, as if she were offering a treat rather than an utterly bizarre request. "Bite me!"
