Old Whistle New Watch
Ava rushed to her first class of the first year. She was late, Ava was certain her mother would be very angry with her if she heard Ava was late to her very first class however on Ava's defence the castle was way too big(and distracting) for anyone to make it anywhere on time. When she entered the class, she muttered an apology to the transfiguration teacher and made her way to the only empty seat left in the front row. The front row was the worst in Ava's opinion because the front seats were very close to the teacher, looks like her dream of talking to befriending other people on class time was crushed.
Ava knew complaining about the seat placement was pointless so she sat down and saw a... whistle on her table. Actually there were two whistles but the person sitting next to her was trying to do something with it. Ava didn't understand what was happening until she looked at the board and saw the writing:Today's assigment: turn the whistle to a watch Under the assigment the spell they were supposed to use was written. After Ava figured out what was going on, she decided to try working on it. She wished luck to her seatmate however Ava didn't believe luck was necessary for this assigment, turning a whistle into a watch sounded like it would be very easy.
After a few minutes
After failing on her sixth try, Ava figured out that it wasn't easy at all. She was frustrated as she didn't understand why she kept on failing over and over again. Ava looked over to her seatmate who still wasn't done and seemed to be struggling as much as Ava was. Ava looked around to see if the others were having better luck. There were some people that succeeded in transforming the whistle, great now her failure looked even worse. Ava considered standing up and leaving the class or not taking it ever again. However she knew that wasn't possible, Ava was many things but not a quitter. She was going to complete this lesson no matter what.
Seventh try was a fail, again. Ava remembered her father telling her to focus on the spell she was casting and not to think negatively. That advice was nice on paper but it was very difficult not to think about negative stuff when she kept on failing to cast the same first year, first level spell. Then before attempting to do the spell again, Ava remembered her promise to her father to succesfully finish this. She also remembered her father gently telling her he had faith in her.
She took a deep breath and focused, she wasn't going to dissapoint her father today. Ava focused her attention on the whistle and blocked out every single movement. She imagined a pocket watch in the place of the whistle, pointed her wand towards the whistle, said the words and closed her eyes. Ava felt a wave of relief when she opened her eyes back and saw a pocket watch in the place her whistle was standing. Ava said:"I did it."
She continued on smiling as she grabbed her stuff and went to her next class.

A feeling of triumph stayed with Charles Azure throughout his journey to his next class because he had successfully converted his whistle into a pocket watch. Today proved to be another day of exceptional magical performance for him as he always took pride in his abilities. The Hogwarts corridors echoed with students' conversations and laughter which made him feel excited about the upcoming day.
A broad smile appeared on his face when he saw Ava step out from the Transfiguration classroom while making a turn. The student caught his eye during class because she occupied the front row with a mix of determination and confusion. He walked towards her with enthusiasm to share her senses of accomplishment.
“Hey, Ava! I saw you in class. It seems you managed to transform your whistle!” he exclaimed, a friendly grin on his face. "Looks like it took you a while. Thank the Lord I did not have to go through the toil you went through."
Again his sense of arrogance kicked in, but well deserved after studying the spell for hours and hours before Hogwarts started. At that moment he came into his utter realisation.
"Oh sorry, I am Charles Azure." He raised his hand for a handshake to express his greetings.

Old Whistle New Watch
Transfiguration was the most difficult class she'd been a part of this year, so Lucy realised when they were told to take out their wands and try to transfigurate a whistle into a watch.
"It doesn't make sense though! Like... why a whistle into a watch? What does a whistle and a watch have in common?!" Complained the girl, rolling her eyes, which was, as it appeared, her new normal reaction to literally everything. Early puberty was a bummer, indeed. Sadly, those in her surroundings (especially those poor kids who sat with her) thus had to listen to her complaining. In this class, it was the left front corner, whose visitors had the honour of her presence, for she was sitting in the second row.
"There's literally nothing in common, except for the fact that they start with the same letter. But how am I supposed to change the shape, the material and the colour all at once?" Asked the girl a rhetorical question under her breath.
Despite not being fine with such a difficult task, she wrapped her hand around her wand, took a breath and imagined the target shape she wished the watch would get. THen, she pronounced the spell and... nothing. How surprising.
She tried once again but the effect was still the same. After five times, she gave up, throwing her wand angrily on the table. She leaned her back against the backrest of her chair and slid her butt forward slightly, so that she was half lying. She crossed her arms on her chest and her face expression shouted that she started sulking.
"Ugh!" Then though, she looked around, and saw Ava in front of her - a girl who also had trouble changing the thing. "Hey, you... hang in there! You got farther than me." Did she encourage the girl to keep going.
She wasn't able to perform the spell right in the end thus, she had to take her half-transfigurated "whis-atch" as work for the evening. She packed up her things and stood up to leave the classroom.
"Hey, how did it go for ya? Have ya managed to change the whistle?" She greeted the girl from row one as well as Charles, with a thick Welsh accent. "And what are your names? I believe we haven't spoken yet. I'm Lucy, but most call me Luce."
