Relaxing? Think again
// sorry for the confusion
The boy was jumpy at first, uncomfortable as she drew nearer to him, taking the necktie from his hands and tying it around under his wrinkled collar. He said nothing but listened as she explained herself. A character such as hers confused him on several levels. Before arriving at Hogwarts, the boy had made sure to do what little research his brain could handle. Not exactly one for the books, he learned the insides and out of what each house was about. Of course, most of the information was stereotyping and other nonsense. This girl was interesting. So nice and friendly but also incredibly wise and great with advice. Once the yellow and black striped were neatly hanging from his collared shirt, he took a step back from her, furthering his personal bubble to breath easier around her.
With a hand extended to him, the Hufflepuff flashed a rather cheesy grin and slapped her hand like a sideways high five. The clap echoed over the lake with an exaggerated pause, clearly not what she was fishing for when suddenly his hand reversed and slapped the back of the palm with hers.
"Guess I could use a pal in the court of the blues, friends it is. But, I don't exactly know your name. Usually that's what you say upon talking to someone... clearly, this is a different situation."
The boy ran a finger along the edge of his collar and motioned his head to the side with a shrug, muttering to himself grumbly before speaking.
"I mean I didn't exactly make it easier to introduce yourself... Either way, You can call me Price. Sounds a lot cooler than Isaiah so why not?"

Relaxing? Think again
The slap sent shock running down her spine and a sting to her hand. She winced just a tiny bit as she wasn't exactly expecting the gesture before a goofy smile spread along her face, glad that she finally got him to calm down and show just a tiny bit of his true self. She watched him carefully with a little twinkle in her eyes before she rubbed her hands together to rid herself of the stinging pain.
Hearing him introduce himself, she felt pride stir in her chest at the mere fact that she brightened up his day if only just a little bit.
"Alright, Price it is! I'm Elvira Winters, but if you'd like you can call me whatever nickname you come up with, eh?" She couldn't help it, she loved nicknames! She had so many that she absolutely loved, another one couldn't hurt, now could it? "If you're not the creative type, you can call me El, Elfy, Vi, or just Winters."
She crossed her arms over her chest once more and let herself relax around him, her gaze softening along with her expression. She couldn't help but think back to the sloshing water in his shoes and felt a giggle bubble up her throat before she even had a chance to hide it. Quickly covering her mouth, she coughed in an attempt to cover up her laughter. Turning around to grab her robes that still lay on the ground, she spoke out with her signature mischevious smirk.
"We can walk and talk, Mr. Huffie. Don't want to stand in your muddy socks anymore, do you?"
