Physical Description: James Ross Spencer II ("Jimmy")is a remarkable, strikingly handsome boy with short, wavy blue-black hair, and deep blue-green eyes, the color of the sea. His face is chiseled with elegant aristocratic high cheekbones. His blue-black eyebrows are bushy and give him an animated but sophisticated expression as he talks. James was born with beautiful pearly white straight teeth, and his smile is affectious and charming to all those he meets. James has poor eye-sight, and wears an array of fashionable progressive eyewear with anti-glare and scratch resistance as he spends a great deal of time reading. His favorite pair of glasses is a black acetate pair from Prada.

James stands approximately 4'8" and is rather fit and muscular as well as very limber because he has studied classical ballet, hatha and kundalini yoga, and enjoys swimming. As a pure-blood from a wealthy aristocratic family, James is smart and fashionable and knowledgable on fashion. He understands his seasonal skin tone, cool winter, and looks best in dark indigo blue, jet black, burgundy, aubergine, and forest green. When James was sorted into Ravenclaw he told a new student: "Oh excellent, not only is Ravenclaw my favorite house, but the house colors are perfect for my complexion and aesthetic."

When James is away from his family homes he enjoys being more expressive and rebellious in his attire. He is currently attracted to retro 1980s Goth and New Romantics looks, are punking up the standard Hogwarts attire with spiked belts, and wearing a little Egyptian eye liner.

People notice that James has perfect flawless alabaster skin like porcelain. James secret is he eats organic plant-based vegan, hydrates, and use natural skin products. Other boys of his age might find him fussy that he pampers, but he knows the importance of charm, and physical appearance to persuade others and to win friends of power and influence.

James has one bad habit when he is nervous and that is biting his nails. He has been working on this but it still a bad habit for him.

Mental Description: James Ross ("Jimmy") is a genius. Born into brilliant long line of pure-blood wizards, James like his parents showed an early aptitude for the arts and especially music and keyboard performance. At age 4, James wandered over to the family's Bösendorfer concert grand piano in their music conservatory and sat down and played a Mozart minuet to absolute perfection. His parents seeing his music talent, hired the best private wizard music professors to teach him classical piano and harpsichord, violin, music theory and ear training and basic music composition.

At age 7 James gave a debut recital in his home estate for the community, astounding guests with his renditions of virtuoso piano repertoire by: Domenico Scarlatti, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Felix Mendelssohn and Erik Satie. At age 9 James was one of the youngest keyboard artists to be asked to perform as guest artist with members of the London Philharmonic. He played Mozart's Piano Concerto no. 23, in A Major, K. 488 and received wild applause.

At age 9, James developed an interest in musical theatre, and began deeper studies into method and classical acting, dialects, and vocal performance. He was cast as the lead in Oliver and has appeared as Toby in Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.

His performance as Toby, led to an obsession with all things Gothic Victorian. James is an avid reader and by age 11, has read over 5000 novels. He is a book worm and was fortunate to have huge libraries of classics in gorgeous embossed leather bound editions at both his homes in Northhamptonshire, and Stirling in the Highlands of Scotland.

James excels in vocabulary proficiency, and has a working knowledge of French and Italian. Jame also has interest in antiques, and history, and enjoys shopping sprees with his mother, interior design, and trips of London and New York Fashion week.

James is perfectly sorted into Ravenclaw because he an introvert and needs much quiet time alone or he can be prone to anxiousness/nervousness. He is very loving and friendly but a bit shy at first. But once he feels comfortable with you, he can become an enthusiastic chatterbox.

James has never met a muggle. His parents were elite pure-blood and sheltered him from the world outside. This has caused James to question "muggles?" So he has been taught that "muggles" are indeed inferior. James would never want to hurt anyone's feelings but he is weary of "why would a muggle born every be allowed to study at Hogwarts?" James though tends to base his opinions on hard work and logic. So if a "muggle" proves his/her self at Hogwarts I'm sure James could be won over.

James has always showed highly intuitive/psychic type powers, and though they are not developed, James is fascinated by the thought of developing psychic gifts at Hogwarts. He wants to study tarot and tea leaves divination, astrology and numerology.

Numerology is very important to James mentally as he was born on Friday the 13th and the number 13 has always been lucky for him. Also the DEATH card of the tarot is Number 13. And most people are unaware of its true meaning of "Rebirth, Transformation, and Great Growth". James intuitively knows that he is embarking on the most important adventure of his life.

James has always felt different and recently has noticed his attraction to other guys. He is a gay male and wants to meet others like him. He hopes Hogwarts will be a safe space for the LGBT. James mentally can be a romantic and creates elaborate stories and fantasies in his mind, but events of his dreams actually manifest and he needs to learn why? He hopes there is a professor that can help him hone these budding gifts. James is most attracted to muscular blonde boys, and has been scouting out Hogwarts for the handsomest guys. But he feels at home with mostly girl friends to open up to. He has briefly met some of the Ravenclaw first year girls, and they all seem fascinating and very cool. He is anxious to make new friends.

James despises with a passion organized religion and especially the hypocrisy of the Christian Church. He was fortunate enough to escape but self-righteousness, homophobia, sexism and racism and things that effect him mentally and emotionally. He wants to learn from people of all backgrounds.

James leans towards mental interest in ancient pagan and Wiccan wisdom and studies of the Victorian mystery schools like the Golden Dawn. This is a whole new world for him, and he plans in his spare time at Hogwarts to research the history of such schools in the U.K.

As for classes: He most anxious to study charms, history of magic, and later divination. Potions is also important to him as he is interested in herbology and the healing power of certain plants. He also is looking forward to learning to fly on a broom stick and being able to soar over the beautiful Scottish countryside.

Though James is very active physically with dance, swimming and yoga, he has absolutely no interest at all in Quidditch and sports in general. Of course he will show up at Quidditch matches to root his House on, but probably secretly sipping a thermos of Lavender Earl Grey, munching on some hot pumpkin pasties or berry scones and bringing a good novel to read.

Favorite Hobbies and Interests: James' favorite time of year is Autumn and Halloween (Samhain). He has always loved the rich warm colors of fall, and is definitely the pumpkin-spice type of kid. James will always pick a pumpkin pasty over jelly beans and other sweets. He is very picky on his desserts having a refined palate due to the fine culinary chefs at his homes. His favorite desserts include: tiramisù, boysenberry cobbler à la mode with French Vanilla bean ice cream sprinkled with nutmeg, gâteau poire Hélène, cherries jubilee, and pumpkin pie with maple candy pecans.

James is a practicing plant-based vegan and enjoys creating healthier cuisine then the normal rich dishes with meat, dairy, eggs and butter. This makes him seem fussy to many of his peers that engage in typical English Breakfast, fish and chips and pork pies.

James despises cold weather and is more sensitive then other kids to winter draft, so he always enjoys curling up in the winter by a roaring fire with hot cherry cider, favorite tea blends or a mocha.

Speaking of tea, James is a tea specialist and can tell you the exact temperature and brewing times of teas. So don't be surprised if James wants to make sure Ravenclaw is well stocked with a pantry of assorted high quality teas such as Taylor's Yorkshire Gold, Fortnum teas, and exotic teas like jasmine dragon pearl. His favorite go to tea ares: Yorkshire Gold, Taylor's Scottish Breakfast, Apricot Ceylon, London Victorian Fog (from Harney & Sons) or a good romantic Rose Congou.

James is fussy about aesthetics and is looking forward to decorating his "dorm" space at Ravenclaw. He will probably see if he can get permission to bring his Gothic Victorian poster bed from home, and is only use to sleeping on 800 thread count Egyptian Cotton sheets and elegant down pillows and conforters. He would also want to bring some of his favorite antiques, and original paintings. He favors the moodiness of John Attkinson Grimshaw or the sensual rich tones of Gustav Klimt.

James knows he has been sheltered and has superior intellect, creativity, virtuosity and ambition. He hopes to meet other boys in Ravenclaw that share his interests and maybe even find his first boyfriend. James always thought the most beautiful guys were Scandinavian, Nordic. What is hysterically funny to James is he likes the blondes from cold climates but despises cold winter weather himself. So he imagines himself laying on a tropical beach in the British Bahamas with a handsome blonde all bronzed up. Ironically, James does have family in the British Bahamas and likes to visit there in the cold winter months of the U.K. He is excited about Hogwarts balls and dances. He is also looking forward when he is older into exploring Hogsmeade.

James has at home a pet blue-black raven that his his pekauwah, and best friend. His raven is named Sebastian. James was ashamed that he broke down and cried for several hours on the Hogwart's Express that he had to say goodbye to Sebastian. But even though Hogwart's might not let him have Sebastian. Sebastian is the smartest bird alive and will find away to visit him from time to time in Ravenclaw tower.

James though is interesting not really a pet person. He is not into caring for cats or dogs, and has only really had an affinity for Ravens and Owls. So the possibility of having his own owl is exciting. He saw a beautiful blue black owl with violet eyes when he was in Diagon Alley and so wanted him. The Owl seems to immediately look at James too. So James hope to make that owl his pet. James would call him Roderick.

James was so excited to go to Ollivander's to get his wand. And the wand felt so right. He was happy to learn that his wand is made of walnut wood, as walnut is a beautiful strong wood with a dark elegant stain, and his wand also had some unique roses carved at the top of the wand. Roses are James' favorite flower and his estate in England has a lush rose garden where James like to retreat for tea and reading. His wand also has dragon heart strings. And Dragon heart felt so right .. and James heart is very deep, and feel things so deeply and passionately. James is anxious to learn spells and charms, and has already read and highlighted passages in his books.

James is anal about organization and likes to color coat with glow in the dark hi-lighters and organize notes. James is the opposite of procrastination he likes to know the whole class course before class even begins.

James does have a little mischievous playful side and looks forward to finding some devilish boys that wouldn't mind pulling a few harmless pranks on the gullible.

James has already formed (probably incorrectly as he hasn't met everyone yet) believes about each house:

Ravenclaws: Of course the superior house of the wise intellectuals, the free-thinkers, the creative geniuses, the musical virtuosos, and the superior wit. He likes fellow quiet introverts, and the eccentrics, the psychics and the trend setters. He read in a "Hogwart's History" that he shares a birthday with noted Ravenclaw, Luna Lovegood. Aquarius ! 13th of February.

Slytherin: Slytherin would have been James second choice as most Slytherins tend to be elegant ambitious pure-bloods like many Ravenclaws. But he hates snakes, and would not be happy living in the cold damp dungeons and so near the "workers" of the kitchens and the Hufflepuffs. Also Slytherins can be dark, evil and prone to "drama" and James has no time for people's victimhood, makyo, or abuses.

Hufflepuffs James likes the Puffs, as they are friendly, usually earthy and good at horticulture, cooking and teamwork. But he finds most Puffs are "the work force" the "hired help" and lack the vision, the leadership ability and the power of the pure-blood Ravenclaws and Slytherins. So though he is happy to make friends with Puffs, there is part of him that feels he is "better" more sophisticated, and cultured then them. He is waiting for a Puffster to prove him wrong.

Gryffindor Gryffs tend to be so the opposite of James that he just doesn't relate. He knows Gryffs are loyal, brave and willing to fight. James' thought "Why would I ever want to fight? ... let me hire the Gryffs in an emergency. I'm not stupid enough to put my life in danger with some dangerous animal, or dangerous wizard. And for that reason he is not really looking forward to "magical creatures" class. Now don't get James wrong, he is strong and can fight, but his thought is let the Gryffs die.. first. But he realizes there have been many great Gryffs including Albus Dumbledore, and he realizes he has a lot to learn.

James was sheltered by his Ravenclaw wizard folks and in his life thus far has only meant mostly Ravenclaw and Slytherin alumni.

James has been having many hopefully prophetic dreams about Hogwarts.

James had dream of impressing all his professors in his classes, and receiving all Os in his O.W.L.S in the future.

James had a dream about meeting a beautiful adonis blonde Ravenclaw boy a year or 2 older and falling in love and dancing at the Harvest Halloween Ball under a roof of beautiful jack-o-lanterns at a masquerade ball. He woke in a flutter as he was kissing this boy in the courtyard under the stars and the smell of roses, star jasmine and honeysuckle in the air. Yes James is a helpless romantic.

Pulling a funny prank with fellow Ravenclaw boys on an uptight sloppy Gryff who is disrespectful and never does his homework. Just spiking a kid's food with "U-No-Poo" from Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes that makes the kid not be able to go to the bathroom. AKA full of sh**. LOL

First "Accidental" Magic: When James was 9, he was preparing to practice François Couperin Ordres on the family 2 manual French harpsichord in the upstairs third story conservatory. Setting his favorite tea cup of rose Congou tea, and a plate of hot baked lemon scones with lemon curd and Devonshire cream on an end table by his favorite recliner, he was preparing to open a window. It was summer and the room was getting stuffy. The latch on the Tudor beveled window was stuck. He pushed hard and latch broke and James nearly tumbled 3 stores down which could have killed him or at least broke many bones. James miraculously levitated briefly over the peach tea rose bed below before landing peacefully on the lawn unscathed without even a scratch. Obviously this was the "accidental" magic that alerted Hogwarts that in a few years he would be a candidate for Hogwarts.

James had also heard stories about Beauxbatons in France and was eager to get accepted there as well. But frankly James knew that Hogwart's was only and the BEST school to train him, and Hogwart's is only about 90 minutes away from his Mother's material estate at Stirling. So that means holidays are an easy commute though James prefers the family private mystical Victorian manor called Spencer-Rose Manor on the Isle of Skye. James always like the quiet of being near the water. James will look forward to looking out his Ravenclaw Tower dorm window down towards the Black Lake. Being near water has always had a calming effect and he prefers his manor estates to the hustle and bustle and "drama" of London.

James senses are heightened and too much sensory stimuli can be anxiety provoking. James doesn't like crowds and instantly panicky and claustrophobic, so the thoughts of crowds at quidditch matches is actually anxiety producing for him.

James has always been fortunate to have private boxes for the opera, ballet and West End musicals and plays. He has always preferred deep true intimacy with the chosen few over frivolous crowds and insincere small talk.

James is highly selective who he lets into his inner circle. But he is also lonely and hopes to meet life long "extended family".

Aspirations: After Hogwarts he would like to be professor and would like to be a professor of music, the arts, charms, and divination. James has the ability to aspire others and he secretly wants to be a teacher over a more dangerous job as an Auror, and the thought of a desk job at the Ministry of Magic sounds frightfully boring and uncreative.

He thought about becoming a famous wizard recording artist but though he likes performing he rather live an introverted life. So the thought of fans prying into his private business is not for him.

James would be interested in writing text books, and magic research work.

While at Hogwarts: Aspirations:

To join the Hogwart's choir as a soloist, and wow the school with his piano, harpsichord and violin virtuosity.

To aid the Hogwart's librarian and break into the forbidden reading section and read and grow as a powerful wizard.

To make life long friends.

To become teacher's pet of all his professors.

To meet a handsome blonde prince student and have his first romance.

To explore Hogsmead and have a first date at Madam Puddifoot's over an elegant and romantic tea.

To have the best looking dorm in the school with impeccable interior design.

To become the best divination, charms and transfiguration student in the school.

To join the dueling club and become a wizard to reckon with. (And secretly show his superiority to Gryffindors)

To really party it up at the Halloween Masquerade Ball and have the best costume in the school. And of course to pig out on anything pumpkin spice! And to decorate his dorm with enchanted jack-o-lanterns.

To see if he can get approval to have his raven Sebastian at school, and to adopt the black owl named Roderick.

To talk to the House ghosts, as he has always been very comfortable around ghosts and the paranormal and regularly talks to his manor ghosts and Spencer Rose Manor. He is eager to meet and talk with the beautiful enchanting Grey Lady, and the Ghost of Rowena Ravenclaw herself. Also since James loves a little gore he wants to make friends with Nearly Headless Nick who already singled him out after the sorting ceremony to congratulate him.
