Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball

Annnd she missed. Alright no biggie. Someone else hit Arc anyway. I can't believe you missed that. This was irritating. The kid was literally standing there, doing nothing, and somehow he managed to avoid getting hit with the first spell. Two kids on her team; a boy and a girl, decided that they were going to cast Fumos. Probably not the best choice, considering that the spell could potentially effect both teams- and lets face it, neither team would be prepared for smoke in their eyes. But to be fair, the boy casting the spell probably wasn't prepared to have his vision obscured by a blindfold so...maybe this was fair.
And if the spells were fired, it would provide a perfect opportunity to cheat- or rather make the odds sway in favor of the Gryffindors. But would Xailah ever cheat? The oh so harmless, oh so perfect Xailah? Ha. That's one secret I'll never tell...You know you love me. XOXO,-The Cheater Just kidding, she wasn't going to cheat just yet. No, instead she walked over to where Kaegen was, but remained on her side of the field. "I don't think I like this game very much." She said, half shouting at him. She gave the boy a strange little side glance. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed something move. Ooh. A ball. She snapped her whole body in the direction of the movement. It slowly rolled toward her, so she picked it up, and tossed it between her hands for a moment. She looked at Kaegen, then down at the ball. Then back at Kaegen. She then raised her arm and...threw it at some Ravenclaw girl that was in her year. She looked like trouble. Xailah then turned to the sickly looking boy; ready to run if he decided that he wanted to try and hit her. "Well." A neatly plucked eyebrow shot up. "Are you going to play? Or is this your tactic for ssstaying in the game?"

Did she hit her? Eris peeled her eyes, so intently focused upon Ruthie and the ball that Eris had sent careening towards her that she hardly noticed Cecily in the corner of her eye. Oh, who was she kidding? She didn't notice Cecily at all. As the blindfold settled into place over her face, completely taking Eris aback, Eris did not even get to see if her dodgeball hit Ruthie. Eris yelped, falling backwards onto her butt, so surprised by the blindfold that she forget about the game raging around her for a moment.
Mortification and amusement both residing inside her chest, Eris's face heated against the fabric of the blindfold now ontop her face. Putting her hands on the ground, realizing at some point that she'd toppled over out of shock, Eris blindly tried to climb to her feet. This motion made her look like quite the bumbling idiot, as Eris staggered to her feet, swaying from side to side for a moment. Then, slowly it dawned on her that she was in the middle of a dodgeball game. A dodgeball game she had no intention of losing.
"Oh Shi-" The rest of her sentence was blissfully cut off by the sounds of fellow students screaming out spells. When had the game turned from dodgeball to... dodgespell? Eris then screamed and promptly started to attempt to run around in a circle. The loss of vision meant that she most likely was slamming into people, and even if she wasn't hitting people, she still looked like the biggest idiot to grace the grounds of Hogwarts. It took her about 30 seconds of running and screaming to then attempt to take off the blindfold.
"Oh."

"YES!", Griseldis squealed with excitement when she watched her Green Spark Charm successfully hit her target (Adam Harringtom), she was sure that it would make him see stars for a while and hoped that someone else who had the ball will try to throw at him. Then she heard a familiar loud voice shouting "FUMOS" made her turned to the direction of that shout, she was surprised to see their Quidditch Captian Kyle had been hit by the Sneezing Hex and the Blindfold Spell was now in a very vulnerable state. A few Ravenclaws must had seen it and they would take adventage to get rid of Kyle.
"Oh no!", out of her own strong desire to help, Griseldis dashed towards Kyle's direction, but she was careful enough to know not to get too near Kyle due to him trying to use the Smokescreen Spell cause it might hit her as well. She saw the 3rd year Gryffindor (Alan Vanes) came back, was relieved that he was ok. A Gryffindor girl with short brown hair @Adrian Calhoun was nearby and she seemed to catch the ball which was good. Maybe they can team up? She quickly went to tap her hand on her fellow teammate, looking at her with a smile, "Hi, I'm Gris! Let's go help our Captian shall we?" She could only hope that the 1st year Gryffindor would be willing to help and follow her to help their captian.
Trying to reach her teammates as fast as she could, she noticed a Ravenclaw boy with glasses (Janus Lumley) attemped to throw a ball at Kyle, but luckily, the third year Gryffindor (Alan Vanes) decided to cast a spell she hadn't learn yet at the ball's direction. She could only pray that it would work somehow. While he tried to cast the spell, Griseldis saw that he intentionally drop ball Nr. 2 onto the ground, a girl (Xailah Alptraum) was quick enough to grab it for herself and throw it at a Ravenclaw. She didn't really want the ball at the first place so she let her other teammate have it and deep down wished her luck.
She stopped and stood beside the third year Gryffindor (Alan Vanes) and did a quick wave at him, "Gris here, I'm here to help!", with that being said, she aimed her wand at the Ravenclaw boy who tried to throw the ball at their captian. She took a deep breath, focus doing the correct wand movement and incarnation. She shouted, "Bullarum Immortalem!!"

Cecily's jaw dropped as her spell flew true from the tip of her wand to hit the redheaded Gryffindor. She was terrible at spells-- to have one hit was the shock of her life! Grinning, Cecily took advantage of the fact that nobody had noticed her and surveyed the field. The next round of balls and spells were already being thrown, and the effects of her team's quick thinking was apparent: there were lions everywhere blindfolded or sneezing-- or both, in the case of one poor student.
Spotting a ball lying on the ground, Cecily dashed towards it, keeping an eye out for any projectiles coming her way. There was no way she'd be lucky enough to land two spells in a row, so this was the more productive choice by far. Snatching [Ball 6] off the ground, she surveyed the pitch for an unlucky target. Spotting a boy in her year that was busy trying to save a teammate, Cecily deemed him a perfect recipient of her attack. Winding her arm back, she channeled all of her Quidditch skills and sent the ball flying in the boy's direction.

With a great show of reflexes, Adrian turned and caught the ball [1] from the air. "Huh, was not expecting that." She scanned the field with the ball in hand, witnessing the unfortunate fate that fell upon their Quidditch captain Kyle, watching their poor quidditch captain got unlucky and now suffering from a sneezing hex and a blindfold spell, which caused him to be an easy target to hit. Her attention was stolen by the second year prefect, who introduced herself as Gris and agreed to her proposal of helping their captain, "Yeah, of course! Let's do it!"
Following Gris, Adrian watched as the same raven(Janus Rumley) that threw the ball at her, throw another ball at their vulnerable captain, in which a third year(Alan Vanes) tried to help by casting a spell in the direction of the ball while intentionally dropping his ball, which was then picked up by another third year girl(Xailah Alptraum) and thrown at the opposing team. Adrian watched Gris cast the bubble-producing charm at the raven, while they stood to protect their captain.
She prepared to throw her ball at the raven, until she saw from the corner of her eyes, a first year raven(Ruthie Greer) cast a spell at her. Wide eyed, Adrian quickly retaliated by throwing the ball full strength at the first year, hoping to get her out of the game, before moving to dodge the spell.

Oliver sighed as he slowly managed to get out of the way of Kyle's throw. He smiled as the blindfold wrapped around the kids face then grinned as he saw a sneezing spell was cast on him. He looked over at Phaedra, his chest rising up with butterflies as he grew extremely proud to be part of that combo attack. Would she notice him? Surely not. It wasn't Oliver had a crush on every third year girl he interacted with. More so that after three years of having very little to zero mingling with the girls, Oliver felt he was entering normal status if they took notice of him.
Oliver wiped some drool off his squishy chin and focused back on the game. He watched a younger year go for Kyle and Oliver figured he might be able to throw too.
He hurried to a ball [Ball 5] and only noticed Kaegan then.
Is he even playing?
Remembering Kaegan might stab as a result of their last interaction, Oliver moved to the far side of their side.
It was then his eyes locked onto his target. A tiny, red haired girl, she had ended the fight on the first day back after summer. Of course the girl who saved Kyle from Oliver's fatal punch was in Kyle's house. Of course.
"Detention this, bitch," Oliver sneered and hurled the ball directly at Marla's head. There was more in this ball than a 0 Strength stat. There was anger, contempt and vengeance charged up in this sphere. Oliver never forgets.

The spell Max had cast easily missed, and the boy let out a hiss of frustration between his teeth. Naturally, after that, the entire battlefield burst into spells so that one could barely see anything or tell where the opponents were, and the majority of the dodgeballs began to miss as well. Some people seemed as if they were nervous during their throw, which Max didn't understand at all, but clearly it was affecting their accuracy so much that only one person actually got hit. This would be a long game at this rate.
Tucking his wand away, this time Max paid attention to where the balls ended up. A few on Ravenclaw side, a few on Gryffindor side, and one that was currently sitting alone in the middle of the field untouched by anyone. He considered his options. This would almost certainly make him a target, but no one was allowed to use offensive spells so if he got hit it would only be annoying for a round or two before he was back in the game. If, of course, no one threw at him. That was okay with him; as long as he could get at least one person out, he'd take one for the team.
Letting out a small sigh, he crouched down low to the ground and ran underneath the spells being thrown across both fields to scoop up the stray ball [Ball 3]. Turning as quickly as he could, he caught site of Oliver Hart, a kid he'd seen around since year one but had never interacted with before. The guy gave Phaedra a look that Max decidedly didn't like, and with that became the young wizard's next target. Winding back his arm, he whipped the ball in Oliver's direction. Oliver was certainly a big enough target, and if he didn't hit the guy then at least he'd stop his disgusting drooling.

@Cecily QuinnMaggie, attempting to cast the spell, quickly became distracted by the ball being chucked at her. She ducked, and her spell aimed at Tatiana missed by a landslide.
“Damn,” she laughed, brushing some hair out of her face. She was beginning to enjoy this— even if she hadn’t really hit anyone yet.
Her moment of distraction had cost her, and, once again, there were no more balls left. She quickly eyed the other players, looking for someone who wasn’t being targeted already. She spotted Tatiana, who was currently tap-dancing on the other side of the field. Yikes.
She spotted a girl, her name was Caroline? Catherine? Cecelia. Maggie drew her wand yet again, ready to cast like, the only spell she knew once again. She’d have to start going for the balls, or this wouldn’t end well.
“Vermillious!” she cried, directing her wand towards Cecelia. Nothing was really flying at her this time, so it was a hell of a lot easier for her to aim at the girl. She cringed internally at the awkward conversation that’d probably follow after the game, but hey, she wanted to win.
She noticed her friends, Charlotte, Carson, and Piérre, on the sidelines, and she quickly waved to them, a big grin on her face as she saw Carson cheering for her and Millie loudly.cast the Green Sparks Charm at @Cecily Quinn

Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Dodgeball
The last thing that Adam saw before his vision lit up was his ball landing perfectly in the Gryffindor boy's hands. It was salt in the wound, especially to the competitive Ravenclaw, but he didn't have very much time to feel disappointed -- as he turned away to find another ball, he was slammed with a jet of bright green sparks.
Adam had forgotten how convenient the sparks charms were in situations like these. He'd tried to use one on Rhea Bishop in their first-year duel, albeit unsuccessfully, and now he was on the receiving end of the spell. It was blinding, horribly blinding, searing spots into his vision that he couldn't escape even when his eyes were closed. It reminded him of all the times he'd accidentally looked too long at the sun. The same dark patches danced across his eyelids, now tinted green, and made it impossible to see when he tried to look back across the playing field. Whoever had cast the spell had done a terrific job, unfortunately. He was going to need a couple of minutes before he got his head back in the game.
Of course, he didn't exactly have a couple of minutes. Gryffindor was rearing its brash, maned head and preparing another offensive, fighting with brute force through the spells that must have hit at least some of them. Adam could hear angry incantations from across the way, and as his vision started to clear little by little, he could see players scrambling to pick up Ravenclaw's fallen balls. Luckily, his team was doing the same; unluckily, there were no more balls left for him to grab, unless he wanted to fight someone for it. And he really didn't want to do that.
In his impaired state, Adam didn't trust himself to cast an offensive spell at Gryffindor, at risk of it backfiring or doing more damage than he'd intended. With that being said, it was clearly time to get his wand out, and as he did so he tried to figure out something he could still do. His eyes flickered across familiar faces on his side of the playing field: Cecily with a ball, Kaegen standing unsettlingly in the corner, Dymph and Phae launching twin spells across the dividing line. Hey, there was an idea.
Shaking his head furiously to try and clear his vision once more, Adam finally had to give up and take what he got. Even if he couldn't see perfectly, he could still navigate the playing field. Wand in hand, he took off running towards the two girls. Phaedra was the closer one, and though he felt bad that his plan wouldn't exactly cover Dymph, he didn't know just how much time he had. Or even if this would work at all. Point was, he had to act fast.
Adam stumbled to a stop at Phae's side and squinted against the backdrop of the Great Lake. There were already dodgeballs soaring up from Gryffindor's side of the field, one in particular that looked like it was headed this way. Pointing his wand up into the air, he crossed his fingers for luck and shouted, "Pluvia Velo!" With any luck, the Umbrella Charm would hold up against the impact of the dodgeball. Otherwise, Adam had just made a total fool of himself.

Neculai had found himself near the Great Lake. He remembered he had seen the dodgeball sign ups in the common room, he had decided to sign up to atleast TRY to be social or seem... But he hadn't prepared for any of this! Thinking this would be something where he would just dodge any of the balls and deflect any incoming spells. Maybe just maybe, he would try and go out of his way to help any of the others. What should've been a simple dodge-deflect game had turned into a real warzone. Spells flying from one side to the other, a sea of red and blue running zigzag and balls travelling the distance of the battlefield in search of their intended targets.
It all went so fast and before he knew it the first round had passed. The pale boy had been frozen and wasn't able to do anything, but witness the scene unfold around him. Snapping out of his trance, he adjusted his glasses and took a long and deep breath. "You've observed the field long enough, Neculai. Now it's time to start helping out your House." It wasn't really the thought of that his House needed his help that got him started moving to the side, but rather the thought that the House would blame it on him if they'd lose and he would've just stood there.
With that thought in mind, his hand disappeared into his robes and a long, cherry wood wand showed. Blood red eyes were scanning the field for anyone that might look like an easy target. After a few seconds it, he had come tot he conclusion that none of them looked ‘easy’. So he went for someone that stood a bit more to the side. A dark brown haired girl. Locking down his target his arm moved upwards, wand pointed at the girl. Carefully he remembered the rules Professor Vernatis had teached him. A smile formed on his face as he made a leg shaped wand movement and said: “Tarantellagra”.
