Playing Ducks and Drakes
When the sun finally got out from behind the horrific clouds, and the temperature rose to around the pleasurable 15 degrees, Luce finally left the castle to enjoy the comfortable, spring weather in the afternoon, right after school. She ran down the hill and headed towards the lake.
As she was running to the lake across the Grounds, her eyes landed on a flower, which had a different colour than all the flowers around. It was purple and thus, naturally, dragged her attention. "You're nice. I'll take ya with me, alright? Oh, Harry. We'll be there soon, don't worry."
Then, she started running in the direction of the Black Lake. Her cheeks got rosy pink soon, and she started breathing quickly, heavily. Once on the shore of the lake, she stopped a few meters from the water, in order to rest and calm her breathing. It wasn't hard, it just needed several minutes, which Luce had hardly ever had before getting distracted.
"Whoa... We're 'ere!" Did she exclaim, taking flower out of her pocket. "See? I told you we'd be here shortly."
The girl made a squat then, next to a stone, atop of which she laid the flower. Lucy looked around, searching for similar purple flowers. Sadly, she didn't find any, so she just shrugged.
"Okay, Harry. You can just sit here and watch me. Nothing's lost yet. If you don't make any friends in your first year here then you can make them... oh my, look!" She got distracted from her dramatic monologue by a stone which was rather small, flat and round. Reaching forward to get it up. "This stone is perfect! I'm gonna play ducks and drakes!"
One would probably say her enthusiasm was contagious or toxic at least.
