Hi Denners!

Yes, I've been thinking a lot about France too. That place was so beautiful, sometimes I even think about asking mom and dad to move there. Wouldn't be awesome to be able to study there? Everything was so beautiful, specially those gardens where we had our little picnic. We need to repeat that, don't you think?

It's me who needs to thank you Den, for being such a good friend. It was very important to me, really, that you listen to me and you didn't walked away. Don't worry about the pigs, as a wolf myself, I tell you did the right thing! They were asking for it! It's really nice to know that I can trust you and that you will always be here...I mean, at least was what you said!

I am well, thank you! I know I should also be doing homework, but I'm actually looking at a magazine my mum sent me, looking for a dress for Spring Ball. Are you going to the Ball?

Oh if you move to France I will come visit you every weekend! I'm sure my parents wouldn't mind! And then I can have all the pastries I want!

Dennis paused in his writing. Repeat the picnic? The memory was both warm but also made his heart beat that much quicker. Best to not think about those things. He continued

I would love to have another picnic with you! Maybe next time we could invite more people! I'm glad you understood the pigs needed to be eaten. Then definitely had it coming to them! Wolves have to stick together!

As far as the spring ball is concerned. I don't know really if I'm going. I haven't gone to any of the other dances. There is always so much to think about it kind of makes my head hurt.

Oh! You already have some dress options? I'd like to see them. I'm sure they will be very pretty.

Of course! What would all those pastries do without you?...I would make sure to save the best for the weekend then!

I actually like this idea of ​​inviting all our friends over and having a picnic by the lake! I think Rai needs to have a good time, she has been too tense lately. I'll be honest, when you first came with that joke about the pigs, you got me really confused!

I really think you should be going to the ball, it can be a fun event, there's always something different happening to break with the normal school routine. Though I admit, I don't know how much fun I will be able to have, since by misfortune it will happen a night prior to the full moon. So your presence would be welcomed you know? Because you're a good friend of course!

And yes, I already have an idea for the dress. I'll send a picture with this letter! Tell me what do you think, does it look fit for the theme required? I think it looks medieval to me, it reminds me of the stories about the fairies!

A picnic does sound really good! We should try to do one here at Hogwarts!

Dennis took a moment to look at the photo that Meyra included. He was expecting something cute, maybe something a little bit simple. Not that Meyra was a simple girl but Dennis just didn’t have much of an imagination for girl’s fashion. However, when he saw the picture, his heart skipped a beat and then another and then another. Was this what a heart attack was? Was he going to die? At least he got to picture a nice dress! He took a few deep breaths and swallowed hard. What was this feeling!?

Your dress looks very nice. I think I will go to the ball too! I wonder what I should wear! If I don’t see you before then, I hope to see you there!

It took her days until she could finally master the words she wanted to send to Dennis. After that day where he had walked with her to her classroom, their interactions had returned to be brief again. Short exchanges of words, but too many shared looks. It finally help her made her mind to write him an owl, maybe writing would be an easy way to start communicating after everything.

So after many tries, this was the result, simple and short, asking just what she wanted without “complications”.

I have been thinking about going to buy some gifts for Christmas and I remembered your invitation to go to Hogsmeade last month. Wondering if you would be up for some shopping?

Life is funny how it cycles. Dennis received an owl from Meyra quite out of the blue. Their last interaction didn’t really go as well as he thought it would go in his head. They were quite busy and he never really got to follow up and explain to her that he doesn’t have an actual girlfriend at the moment. She was always the one to overthink about stuff which always saved him the hassle of having to worry about stuff since she did plenty of that for the both of them. That was one thing he definitely had to get used to - figuring things out himself instead of just doing the first thing that popped into his head. Though he still did plenty of that.

It felt weird reading a letter from Meyra that wasn’t addressed to “Denners” she also called him Dennis on that day too which felt more like a slap in the face. He wasn’t expecting his name to sting so much. Anyway, it looked like even though things didn’t go the way he wanted them to in his head, he still got what he wanted. A date outing with Meyra.
