How do you add homemade banners to something? whenever I try to add the image address it never works.

You can upload them via an image-sharing website, such as imgbb or postimages!

I personally use postimages (upload your image/banner and it'll make a link for you under "hotlink for forums" and then copy and paste it into your post)
