Too Close Quarters PV Closed

Erin had a number of plans for this summer holiday. She had developed a fascination with a few of the "returned" students such as Marcus and Howard as well as the disappeared such as "Thomas" who by her sad definition was the closest thing she had to a "friend." Well, she had Cloverfield, but he recently discovered girls and has been MIA ever since. She was obsessed with learning the truth, but her "truth" was closer to a tinfoil hat conspiracy theory than a viable hypothesis. She was not incredibly intelligent, at least in terms of this sort of thing. She understood people better than she understood plans and events. Had she been smart enough she would have used Arc's bird brain to figure out what was going on.

Introductions were being made. She has no hope of pronouncing Griseldis and it would likely sound more like Gazelle. She just was not even going to try. She would entertain herself the way she knew best -- annoying the pants off someone. That someone was Raine. She had identified an interest in Raine, she assumed it was romantic. Why? How? Well, it was not that guys and girls could not be friends, but rather when jokes are made those are made to test waters. It is the reaction, especially the pronounced ones, that tell her one's heart's truest intent. She might have lost her ability to feel what they felt, but that did not mean that she had forgotten the patterns.

Raine protested. She felt the need to protest more than once in fact. Yeah, sure girl...

Erin gave Raine a sardonic smile as she said nothing more. She found the girl's Achilles and as much as she would have a great time screwing with her, she would save that bit of knowledge for a greater time. She might not be nearly as studious as a Ravenclaw but she did realize that intelligence such as this should be savored and used when it would benefit her.

The conversation would drift over a strange matter surrounding Arc. Apparently people were afraid of him. Erin would quirk her brow at this statement as she looked him over. Arc was, all all intents and purposes a normal looking boy. Yes, she was good-looking, but he did not seem intimidating. His face was symmetrical, it did not bear the expression of a dangerous individual. His posture relaxed. His build, slender. Erin assumed that she was likely physically stronger than the boy. "Huh?" She said out-loud, the gears in her head turning and metaphorical smoke coming from her ears. "I don't see it," Erin admitted. "You look like... a pretty boy if anything," she added. "They might just be intimidated by how good-looking you are."

Erin was fearless, she could not feel anything. She could not see it. She could not understand it. It was impossible for her to grasp the fear that other people felt around such a mundane creature as this Ravenclaw. "But I find it fascinating that people respond to you in this way," she admitted as she looked over at Raine and Gazelle (Gris). She wanted this power, this skill, this demeanor, this... aura that Arc possessed. She envied him for it. "How do you..." she looked him over again, the tone of her voice doubtful. "Do it?" She was referring to being scary or intimidating. A part of her did not believe him in fact. Perhaps this was just teenage nerves, a bit of anxiety or a dash of low self-esteem. Or... maybe it was Raine. Erin's eyes darted over to her. She did not say anything but she did mouth something to Raine -- are you doing it? Was she doing it? Was Raine scaring people away from her future paramour. It was a distinct possibility but she did not want to say it out loud and cause a ruckus. Wait, why didn't she? That was a favored pass-time of hers. Weird.

Just a trick of the lighting they said...
