She wasn't scared of him, of him being a wolf? he was a monster what was she doing just standing there? "she doesnt look scared.. she.. is she admiring them? What is this girl?" he thought as his heart sped up. She was thinking, by the looks of it. And based on the fact she wasn't talking or even moving her mouth to speak, Keith expected three outcomes. "Either she is some kind of creature human too.. or she doesnt mind it. Or she's about to call me every name in the book- maybe some she'll make up. She dont look like the type though, maybe she's in shock? Why is she so quiet?"
Smiling? Why is she smiling? Secret. So she figured it out. At least she's not super pink now, she seems calm now. Good, I'd hate to be the one causing her fear.. why's she apologizing its my own fault.." "..I aint good at talking to people either, its alright. He relaxed as she looked at him for another moment, then she asked about Minnie mouse. "Minnie Mouse? Disney? Oh right-!"
"right well uh its a muggle thing, for children. Likes the moving pictures the muggles make? Movies. And they made some back before they invented colors on there television boxes. Which included Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse- which now it like the symbol of Disney? Which i think is cool, and they made a television series, a few actually, with them and some of the characters friends such as Goofy and Daisy and-" he paused, that was the most he's talked about something in the past few months. Glances at his face, "this girl must actually be disgusted. Why does she keep looking this is so weird." He kept his eyes away form hers, knowing if he looked in them he'd see the disgust. But that's not what she felt, that's not what she said at least. when she finally spoke up Keith looked at her.
"She doesn't mind the scars? Cool? She thinks I look cool? Is she crazy? Did she hit her head?" His mind was thinking a million questions at once, his mouth slightly open in surprise at her words. Out of all the responses, hers wasn't one he expected. Not from the innocent look she had, socializing with a creature like him?
"Class- Shit-" He mumbled as she reminded him about classes. "She wants to meet later? Me? She wants to see me again? Who is this girl?" Keith nodded a bit despite his hesitant thoughts. He knew he'd become distrusting this year, more skeptical of everyone and everything. He hardly felt safe, but he also knew if he didn't try to get over this it would continue to drag him down the hole he was already falling down.
"An owl- yeah yeah that sounds cool, anytime your uh free is fine I guess.. well.. ya know not like the full moon days but you know- uh yeah" He knew he made half a lick of sense, but he hoped she saw it as him being nice and nervous not brushing her off. Keith watched as she smiled awkwardly, chuckling at his attempt to make a joke about being a wolf. He watched her as her smile looked a little funky. Which made him smile a small bit. Her response to his compliment seemed shy. He figured she didnt get them often which was a shame.
" She's cute, doesn't she get told often? Maybe i was too casual. Maybe she thinks im weird. But she did ask to talk sometime later. Maybe I'm not a lost cause?" he thought as the girl turned red. He didn't say anything about it, knowing he'd be the same if he got a compliment. He had been rather shy when she said his scars were cool. "No she said your face makes you look cool you idiot. She probably is just ignoring the scars. But still." his brain went on but he looked to her again.
"Yeah- um class. Yeah. I'll see ya around then..? Minnie" he trued to sound like a normal person but he knew he probably sounded stupid. "what class you headed to?" he asked as she took a step back. She didn't leave yet though so he cleared his throat and shot her a smile " whatever it is I'm sure you'll do great. Have fun and uh- see ya- mouse." he grinned and turned to leave, walking to his next class in a better mood now. A pretty girl talked to him and she wanted to be friends by the sounds of it?
