Why I Heal?
He had only sent in his application and resume to the headmaster of Hogwarts, to be the nurse. Personally, Octavius didn't think he was that qualified but hey, he got the job didn't he? He never went to fancy advanced universities or colleges to learn how to heal people, nor was he an intern at St. Mungos, but he had sons.
His sons liked to hurt one another and themselves, why? He didn't know, but irregardless, it was still a vital reason for him to have at least a moderate amount of experience healing people, even if specifically his own sons.
But the real reason for why he wanted to be rehired back at Hogwarts is not simply because of being a healer or anything along those lines. He was there to keep supervision, especially after the Mysterious Potion situation his son was telling him about. He would hope no one else would have to suffer from any negative instances like that again, but ah, Hogwarts was known for being unpredictable, so at the very least if he could protect other people and provide aid, then he did what he could. He was also there to watch his son with a closer look and hope he wasn't making more of a mess than he should be.
